"Seeing stars" is an idiom that has multiple connotations...one being the effect of a "knockout" (bad) or dazzling (good). Well, the title of this company is Discount Tire. In our recent experience, it could be renamed Dazzling Tire because that is exactly the service we received. Price...spot on! Or, to use another idiom..."on the money" for price and value. Service? Could not have asked for anything better. I set up an appointment to have my tires installed at my home. The crew showed up when scheduled and very courteously installed 4 new, balanced tires. (Didn't even have to pull the car out of the garage.) Quick, efficient, courteous...and...they have followed up with an email reminding me that I can stop by any of their locations (without an appointment) and have my air pressure and wiper blades checked for free. I can't say enough nice things about this place. Last Friday after a pretty grueling week I rolled in with a tire that needed a patch. Ethan got a work order right in and notified me that it would be a few hours wait. Unfortunately I was in the middle of doing apartment tours but he gave me some really useful insight into some buildings in the area that save me a lot of time. Stood in line for 10 minutes with three guys behind the service desks. One selling tires, second having computer issues, third completed sale and did nothing for five minutes. I was told by three different gentlemen that I would be helped immediately. Finally after 10 minutes, they got to me. I have been coming to Discount Tire locations since I began driving as a teen, and this particular location for several years. I always appreciate their team approach, clear & transparent communication, deals/affordability around holidays, and their roadside warranty. Recently came with my bf here (needed new tires) and he was in and out early on a Saturday morning - took about an hour. Only issue is for a tire location, you'd think they would have promptly resolved the massive potholes affecting their entrance/exit - I learned to use the back entrance as these have been here for over a year now. read more

I just wanted to take a minute to write a review for Discount Tire, Franklin. My wife's car tire picked up a 4 inch bolt that could not be repaired. I decided to buy a complete set of new tires due to their age. Grady suggested a slightly different size with more rubber that was compatible with the vehicle. Considering the pot holes around town, I thought more rubber would be a fine idea. A couple of days after the tire install, I could hear a slight rubbing noise when in the car. I called Discount Tire and they directed me to come back and swapped the tires out for the original size that were more money, at no extra charge!!! They were very polite and professional and did the change very quickly. I can't recommend this shop enough! Great job, and what commitment to a satisfied customer. Have to give them some credit that they had the tire I needed when I had a flat and needed to get a new set same day. But after driving away, discovered that they had filled the 4 tires with greatly different amounts of pressure, with 2 of the tires dangerously overfilled to max capacity for the tire. I trust that folks working at a tire specialist will be experts on tires, so can only assume that they just don't care. My wife is fond of discount tire shops because whenever she needs a tire's air topped off, particularly when traveling, she can count on discount stores to have a quick drive up for air. But that was not true the last time I tried that at the Franklin branch. I drove around the building to find that they had hidden the "air here" sign in the back, and they had no place to handle air needs. I went to the car dealer to get it taken care of. A lot of discount tire locations are excellent. My experiences at this location have not been that way at all. read more

I was visiting from out of town and needed to get home the following day, but developed a problem with one of the OEM tires on my Audi A6. While Discount Tire did not have those tires in stock , they were able to get me some Cooper tires that are getting the job done just fine. Still good! Purchased tires here before and this time had a nail in the tire. There was a line when I got there, but their staff kept it moving and attentive with everyone waiting. Eric helped me out and he was fantastic. Two tires were low and one had a nail. They were really busy and quoted about a 1 1/2- 2 hr rate, but done like in 1hr & 10 mins. Appreciated that since I was trying to make a meeting. I have found that they're always great at communicating with customers, and setting service and time expectations. We arrived at Discount Tire Saturday afternoon in Franklin after our usual hometown family owned tire company closed at noon. We were leaving on a holiday trip the next day and noticed a significant leak in one tire. They wouldn't help us since we called right before closing. They suggested buying a patch kit at an auto parts place. We thought we would try Discount Tire as we had heard so many good things about them. Great work, but bad communication. I came in at 9:30. They said bring the car by 11:30 am and we'll be out by 12:00. They delayed two times when I asked at 12:00 then 12:15, only when I confronted the delay. It's 12:40 and I'm still waiting. They do offer walk-ins as well as appointments and do a very thorough job I stopped by at 5:15pm, to get a tire checked out and the guy that helped me out was patient and explained everything clearly to me. Stopped in mid-week on a rainy day. My daughter recently moved to Franklin and was having issues with the lock nuts on her older vehicle. I'm not sure why the previous owner had lock nuts on this vehicle anyway but I digress. Anyway, even with a star-key, we couldn't manually get the nuts loosened and I didn't want to leave and drive back to Houston knowing that if she had a flat, she would be stranded. Therefore, I brought it here to have them take it off and replace them with regular non-locking nuts. I was in and out in about 20 minutes. I'm not sure if that's normal in Franklin, TN but it's unheard of at any DT in Houston, TX. Yes, I realize Houston is slightly larger than Franklin and might have a few more people (smirk) but did I mention I was done in 20 minutes!!!! Needless to say, I was well pleased. Always the best. No comparison. Customer service over the top. Nobody likes buying tires, but this is the place to do it.

Usually don't take time to do a review but was concerned about the "shady" business practices going on at Discount Tires in Franklin TN. Twice now have gone in with two different cars with tires purchased from this discount tires store in last couple months. Both times we had a slow leak. The tech wanted to sell us new tires and refused to fix the leak both times or rotate the tire as I was told they would anytime when I purchased them. Tech told us tires were unsafe. Went down the road each time to Moody's tires in Franklin TN and they fixed and rotated. Had to pay because did not purchase from them. I asked if the tires needed to be replaced and they said we had about 10k miles left before we needed to replace. So not unsafe! Seems like Discount Tires needed another sale and didn't care about their customer or the environment. Shame on them. read more

This is a great place, our car started wobbling on our way to vacation because our tire was on the verge of blowing up pretty much. We had 600 miles more to go. The service was amazing and everyone was super nice and helpful! Super fast and good price and we were given a brand new wheel!! It was a very good experience and eased our stress because we were worried whether we'd get to our destination in one piece because the car kept wobbling and shaking.
