I've now visited the Fort Mill/Tega Cay Discount Tire location on three separate occasions with three different vehicles and needs. In two cases, I needed a tire rotation (free with tires purchased at any Discount Tire location). On the third vehicle, I had a tire with a slow leak that needed investigation and repair. In all three instances, they were able to get me scheduled quickly. I was able to get in and out in about an hour each time. The guys in the shop greeted me pleasantly and didn't exercise any intensive upselling on products or services that I did not schedule for or need. Overall, I've been pleased with Discount Tire as a service company for several years and am happy with this new to me location thus far. I've spent $0 with this location but have walked away with great service each time which is what will bring me back to spend money when I need to. I do recommend. read more

I'm becoming a regular customer here. ANOTHER nail in tire episode! I was there at 8am Monday when they opened and Jacob checked me in. I had put the spare on the evening before so when he looked at the tire, he said: "it's a pretty big nail, we'll have to inspect after we pull it to determine if we can repair it". My heart sank, I'm thinking I'm going to need to buy at least two more tires. I still had considerable wear on all the other tires. Within about 15 minutes, Jacob was smiling as he told me they were able to repair it. Whew, what a relief! They did the repair and I was in and out in about 45 minutes. You simply CANNOT beat this place for service! For service and tire purchase, this is the place. I arrived an hour earlier than the appointment time. This team promptly saw me, made the diagnosis and repaired the tire. There was a nail puncture. Purchased tires on Tuesday and the website said they would be delivered on Thursday. Made an appointment for 9:15am Friday morning. We arrived a few minutes early, dropped off the car, and left to have coffee. Got to the coffee shop and received a phone call from discount tire to say my tires were not in stock, and can't be here for another day. And while advisor Jacob apologized, it does not make sense why they could not have determined this before I even left the tire center. I scheduled ahead of time to avoid these types of mistakes, and after no less than two emails and six text messages reminding me about my appointment it seems discount tire needs to put more effort into securing the tires than my appointment. I recently called discount tire and spoke with Juan. I requested an appointment to have a specific set of tires installed in my car. I was looking for the cheapest tire that was around $86 since this was an older vehicle that I didn't plan on keeping for long so I didn't want to spend a ton of money on the tires. One immediately told me that he only had four more of those tires and they were on layaway for somebody else and I would have to buy the $150 a tire set. I said, "Can't you just order more?" He said no. He was very short with me offering no other solution. I continued to ask if they were going to get more or if I could just order them online or if there was anything else I could do? He then said "We have a truck shipment coming tomorrow, but have no way of knowing what's on it". I said "So you're telling me I have to wait until tomorrow and call and see if you have more of these tires available and there's nothing else that I can do?" He said "yes". And I told him I found that very odd, then ended the conversation. I told my boyfriend the story and he laughed and told me it was because I was a woman and I said "There's no way." Ten minutes later, he called back and Juan answered the phone again. Juan immediately was very outgoing and attentive with him, asking him if he was a previous customer and giving him the whole spiel of everything they include and how they do price matching and just a completely different conversation and attitude than what I received. My boyfriend told him the vehicle and said he was just looking for a cheap set of tire tires. As I listened while they spoke on speaker phone, to my shock and disbelief, Juan told him he had a set of the exact tires I asked for and could get him in today. I was not only disgusted but really truly taken back by the fact that Juan so clearly just discriminated against me for being a female, trying to lie and upsell me and then 10 minutes later treated my boyfriend completely different. I called the manager Chris to tell him what happened and Chris was extremely apologetic and told me that that do not treat people this way and he would be talked to. That was it. Truly unbelievable. Wow wow wow. I had an appointment to get 4 new tires today. A small line formed outside of the still closed store. When the doors opened, every customer was with an employee within one minute of the doors opening. My representative made eye contact with me and knew my appointment time and what service I was booked for. I haven't been here in 7 years minimum, and this guy must have been In junior high on my last visit. How did he know who I was?? I was passed off to a cashier, who was lovely and engaging. He had me checked in quickly. I looked up and the wheels were off of my car already. Only hiccup was I order the wrong size, but they did have something similar in stock for more money. The main draw of discount tire is if they can, they will repair many tires for free. The second biggest is the warranties on tires you buy from them are also good, which makes sense. I did have to put new tires recently because one of mine was not salvageable and a second I used FixaFlat which is not fun to work on. My out of state tire shop admitted even their owner takes his own car to Discount Tire in that area which is why I went past several other places on my way. I don't love the prices I paid for my tires but service was fast, friendly, and I'm sure I'll be back with the warranty. read more

I visited this location in July to have all 4 TPMS sensors replaced on my vehicle. Fast forward a few months and the TPMS light turns on and stays on. I bring it back in for a repair/replacement, and the person at the counter attempts to charge me for a replacement sensor. Only after questioning this and explaining the situation do I get an explanation/apology from a manager that they failed to program one of my sensors back in July, and that I would not be charged for the fix. So, had I not been paying attention I would've been out $60 for a sensor that wasn't replaced. I'll be taking my business elsewhere going forward, but if you go here, pay close attention to the services performed and what you are being charged for them. read more

I needed 2 tires replaced, booked online, was able to see they were in stock at the lowest price around, called to verify, spoke with Clay (super nice and patient with all my questions!) and got an appointment same-day to get it done! I was in and out in an hour! Johnny explained their crazy tire warranty (literally covers all the things for the life of the tire!) and sold me on it. Got a huge construction bolt in my front tire. Wasn't sure where to go. Went to Discount Tire in Fort Mill. Even though they were extremely busy Tim was wonderful. My tire was repaired with no charge. All of the staff were extremely helpful and professional with all the customers I saw them dealing with. I'll start from the beginning, my mother noticed her tire pressure light came on, took a day off work to get it checked, we got in there at 8am. They checked tire pressure in all tires, I guess they noticed a nail in ONE tire, happy they noticed, but they only checked one fucking tire for nails. Like.. Look at all fucking four. We had a warranty thankfully and only had to pay like 60-70$ for other stuff. But how are you only gonna check one tire instead of all 4. and when we left they said "the light shouldnt come back on." "butttt if it does come back!" like. there shouldnt be a "buttttt" you should just straight up fix that shit. We came back today because last night the tire pressure light came back on. Apparently no issue, just needed more air. its been 2 days why would it come back on all of a sudden? but was fine the 1st day? just weird asf. Was told they checked for nails/holes. Just needed tires rotated and balanced. Made an appt and was in and out in 30 minutes. Surrounded by lots of restaurants, a dog groomimg shop, connected to two strip malls and Walmart behind - plus good wifi if you want to wait in the store. I liked that it didn't have that overwhelming smell of rubber tires. I know that's what they sell but I've been to DT stores in FL, TN, and VA and they all give me a headache from the smell. This one had clean air!! Friendly staff. We're used DT for 10 yrs with 6+ vehicles. They usually have the best price per tire even when you add the install and warranty fees. This last month my hubby needed tires & they told him he needed the DT card to charge. Sadly they lost his business, he went to Firestone because the tires were less. In the past, if we forgot our DT credit card they just looked it up with our ID. Sadly I guess they don't do that anymore so i minus a star for the lower customer service or may be just this store doesn't do it. read more
