I am writing to bring to your attention a recent experience I had at the Discount Tire location at the Imperial Valley Mall in El Centro, CA, situated at 899 Danenberg Dr. I visited the mentioned Discount Tire location with a nail in one of my tires, seeking repair in accordance with the policies I have previously experienced with your company. However, I regret to inform you that the service I received on this occasion was not in line with my expectations. Upon inspection, the staff at this location expressed a reluctance to repair the tire and instead recommended the purchase of a new tire. This was unexpected, as I have consistently chosen Discount Tire for all my vehicles' tire needs, and I have previously had nails successfully repaired at other Discount Tire locations without any issues. They were pushing for me to buy new all four tires and would not patch the tire with the nail in it. Well it just a matter of due respect. I will buy new tires since I do need too. At this moment maybe the simple fix and send me on my way would have done a lot of support for me than straight out refuse to fix the flat of my tire that was bought there. In comparison with other shops, ive always been hesitant going to a corporate chain because of slightly elevated price as well as hit n miss service. Stopped here last weekend after getting a flat on our way to Yuma. We were under a lot of pressure to get to our destination as soon as possible, given we lost a family member prior and needed to attend a service. The tire had a slow leak and we were told we ran over something. No problem. When asking if the tire can be repaired we were told no and they refused to work on the car unless we purchase all new wheels. We were desperate for time and quoted wayyy too much and told they couldn't do the job that day regardless. After practically begging the shop agreed to put on the spare. While waiting and making trips back n forth to the parking lot I couldn't help but overhear all the names the staff had given us. None were appropriate. Myself and my passenger felt so unsafe and vulnerable being in that situation but then to have grown men laugh and carry on, refuse to help us and laugh when our backs were turned. Not okay. Hopefully I never find myself stuck in El Centro again but if that day were to come I'd stay as far away as possible from this shop. Do better! read more

I have to say, I am so impressed with their observation of COVID protocol that I am compelled to write this as I wait outside, socially distanced. They have a designated path to get your tires checked and they stay away from your door. They also ALL wear their masks properly and KEEP their masks on. I love this place. I occasionally pull in for an air check and the gentlemen are always happy to help and answer questions despite being so busy. I had a problem recently with one of my rear tires, it kept losing air at a much faster rate than the others so I made an appointment for a diagnosis. It ended up being a broken valve stem. By far the worst place I've been in for tires. Long wait poor customer service. I got there no said hello after 10 - 15 min Jerry asked he could help me. They had a long line and he was telling customer he was the only one there, 10 min later A guy name Jose came out of the office and Didn't acknowledge anyone in line and there was about 5 poeple in line. Then Jose and Jerry started making Jokes and laughing at a lady that only spoke spanish. A few minuts after that a short Caucasian guy came out of the office and he to ignored every one.
