When the kid went to get my car, he didn't know how to unlock the steering wheel, so I'm out there in the rain, trying to get it unlocked. I came in to address a low air pressure light for my vehicle and had the pleasure to speak with Jessica. She scanned all of my tires and was extremely knowledgeable about my vehicle. She showed me a nail in my tire and also went over the grade of each tire. I know nothing about cars but she offered to take my phone to speak to my dad. She didn't try to scam me and made it known what I actually needed and what I could hold off on. For example, they said I didn't need to replace the spare immediately but would need to soon. They also said my wipers were good but offered if I would like to some with an ongoing sale. The two workers on my car also knew a lot and were extremely friendly. To Any Managers At This Location, I had to stop by for a tire that was low on air and I wasn't sure if I had a nail or not. Luckily for me I had the pleasure of meeting the air pressure guy ULI. I have been using this shop for 13 years. There have been occasional mishaps with the ordered tires being lost after they were delivered (!), and a few broken promises, but overall, I liked this place, coming back all the cars in my family for this long. I was very happy with the measures they have implemented during the peak of pandemic, allowing you to stay in you car and to drive in yourself. Lately, I have been lied exactly the same way several times on different days, so that it looks like a business practice: I call to ask for the current wait time. The guy tells me it would be ready within 45 minutes, 1 hour tops, if I were there now. I ask if that includes the wait on the waiting list, before the car is checked in. The guy says "Yes!" I come in 5 minutes, literally. At the entrance to the parking lot, the guy who places me on the wait list, confirms that it is still 45-60 minutes. I am placed on the wait list (#2 of 2). 15-20 minutes later a guy comes to check the car in and informs that it will be an hour from that point. To my question "How come?", he tells me "there have been 15 cars that came since you called" Within 5 minutes? What a lie! There were 9 cars in the parking lot and 2 in the shop, so 11 in total, when I drove into their parking lot. And that "15 cars" tale I have heard twice. The first time, I left at that point, as I would have been late for my next thing. The second time, I decided to stay, hoping for the best. 45 minutes later, which was more than an hour since I entered their lot, and my car still was not called in, while several other cars were just puled in, I left, because I needed to pick up my kiddo from the sports activities. A week later, I spoke on the phone with the store manager, Brady, telling him this saga. His response was "We are trying to give the best estimate. Yes, we could be getting that many cars within those 5 minutes, and the guy who places you on the wait list might not know how many jobs/customers are waiting..." - essentially doubling down on the lies of his employees. He told me that if I set an appointment, my car would be next to be placed in the shop, and that's the best way to assure I'd be done within an hour. After setting the appointment, he told me I should arrive 10-15 minutes in advance to check in. Ghm. What? It will be 1:15 then, 25% longer than 1 hour. I set an appointment, and checked in 10 minutes later. That same manager looked at the queue on the computer screen and told me (again) that because of the appointment my car will be pulled in at the next available slot. After that I see 3 cars being finished, and 3 new cars are pulled in. When I asked why not my car, the manager told me that those slots were not available because one car had an appointment 15 minutes before mine, and the other two cars had been waiting for 35-50 minutes. "I didn't say 'the next slot', but 'the next available slot', he emphasized. I guess they define "next available slot" as what comes after everybody ahead of you is done. To be fair, they did rotate the tires ahead of the promised time (my car was pulled in next, after those three). It does sound to me it is the store's (or corporate?) policy to routinely mislead people on the wait time. I understand they are busy and they want to stay fully loaded at all times to maximize their efficiency and profit, and hence the wait. I am OK with waiting, and I understand that the estimate might be occasionally imprecise, but I do not appreciate blatant lies. read more

Yesterday I finally needed new tires and I wanted to give them my business. They took my key a bit before they opened so I could get to work on time. Had many choices of tires available for my Toyota 4Runner. They installed within a hour or so of me making my decision and were able to keep my vehicle on their lot safe until I was able to pick it up after work. I get there waited, 15 minutes to be checked it, and then told to park and wait in my car until someone came to speak with me. I waited another 45 minutes and ended up leaving. To sum it up. They are very busy. Every day, at almost every hour. But they are busy for a reason. They do top notch work, very polite staff, and hard workers. Their location is less than desired. As they only have a limited amount of spaces to park in. And getting in and out of there is a bit troublesome. But the service couldn't be better! The waits are usually 40 minutes and up, but if you bring something to occupy that time, it tends to go by pretty quick. Wish they had a tv or something to steal your attention like NTB. Went in with my week old car to have a flat tire fixed. The guys were nice enough but I was told my tire wasn't fixable but I could buy a new tire to replace it for $200. I told them I wanted to think on it. I drove across the street to Harbor Freight and bought a plug kit. Plugged the tire in the parking lot and now it's good to go. The employee said that it would take about 1 hour and 45min. by the time they could fix the flat by then the tire was completely flat, about 2 hours later I saw an employee walk up to the truck and I approached him and told him I didn't want the truck moved with the tire completely flat, so he went in the shop a few minutes later another employee came out and without my permission moved the truck with the flat tire so I asked for the manager and I told him if Discount Tire would give me a guarantee if the tire was damaged, he insisted in bringing me the tire and said that the tire could not be fixed or patched because the patch would not cover the hole (BS) but that they could sell me a new tire for 250.00 But he could give me a pro rated tire for 225.00!!! What a discount, WOW!!!!! so I told them to put the spare tire and before I left one of the employees told me that if I really wanted a new tire he could sell me one for 100.00 by then I was frustrated and I took off to House of Tires on Texas Ave. Where they were able to fix the tire for 20.00!!!!!! The worst discount tire service I've yet to encounter. Came in with my wife and kids and was left to wait for over 2 and a half hours before finally BEGINNING my assistance. Left rear tire needed a replacement after I encountered car trouble helping to rescue orphaned kittens next to the church I visit every day to deposit my regular pay stubs. Not only did they charge me double than the price I paid at my local discount tire, but I overheard them also call my disabled daughter a vegetable. My husband and I went and got tires on his car. We did get the extra extended warranty. When we were walking out my husband said to the person that had just helped us out (husband) "So even if my old lady slashes my tires, is that covered?" (Guy at desk) "yes sir, it covers that to." My husband returned about a month later to get his tires rotated and balanced. When he picked up the car he looked at the tires. There are some distinctive marks on each tire so he knew which tire went where. He noticed that the tires were not rotated. He spoke with the manager Josh and he said "I personally did them myself " My husband was angry. Figured he would try again another time. So my husband went back about a month later to get his tires rotated and balanced again. This time they said that they cannot rotate and balance the tires. Then they say "the warranty will not cover alignment wear!" By the way the tires look they've been wearing for a long while. Possibly the whole 6 months he's had the tires on his car. Josh (the manager) never had informed my husband the first time he brought the car in for the rotate and balance that his tires were wearing and he needed to get an alignment. I spent over $4k in that place on rims and tires.. But will never go there again. DO NOT PURCHASE THE EXTED WARRANTY. IT DOES NOT COVER ANYTHING. THEY WILL NOT REPLACE THE TIRE OR REFUND LIKE THE WARRANTY SAYS. Waste of money. read more

I came here to get my tire checked out, since it was losing PSI every day. Note: these tires are brand new. Chris or whatever his name is told me that the tire was undriveable since there was "mulch" on the inside and that I needed a replacement. Turns out that "mulch" was actually just rubber shavings caused by low tire pressure. After asking him if he could mount my original tire back on, they denied it. So how am I supposed to drive a car with 3 tires you may ask. Being the outstanding salesman that Chris is, he suggested that I BUY a new tire. So you're telling me that you took off my tire, told me that you can't remount it, and I needed to buy ANOTHER new tire. On top of that, they decided to loosen up my valve caps to be petty. After speaking to the manager, he told me that they didn't touch the other 3 tires, but magically, the tire pressure went up on my other 3 tires. Take note, it's 40 degrees outside. How does my tire go from 31 PSI to 36.8 PSI. I went to another tire place and they told me there was nothing wrong with my tire. Don't come here because they just want to scam you out of your money.
