Unfortunately, they didn't have the tire in stock at that location--but Brandon went above and beyond. Before closing on New Year's Eve, he personally drove to another Discount Tire location (VanDyke), picked up the tire himself, brought it back, and installed it so my vehicle wouldn't be down. I've purchased tires from discount tire in the past, just not this location. Yesterday after working all day stopped in here to fill up the trailer tire that was low, and a guy came out and said he won't fill it up. I simply asked why not? He claimed a truck was going to show up "any minute" to pick up used tires. Then he said I can ask the guys up front. I said don't worry about it and as I pulled out of the driveway, he screams have a nice day... I went and talked to someone inside the office and he looked at me weird when I said the guy said he wouldn't fill up the tire. And said to bring it back around. I do that, another guy walks up, proceeds to excuse the other employee and comes up with some BS any their compressor can't fill up my tire and that I need an appointment for them to look at the tire. This used to be my go to location for tire rotations and for new tire purchases. This last visit July 30th 2025 I booked a tire rotation a few days ahead of time online. They looked over the tires first and told me I needed a new lug nut for my front passenger tire. I asked how much for a new lug nut would be and they said $90. I politely declined after checking the prices online and said there's nothing wrong with the lug nut but there's something wrong with trying to price gouge. They go for less than $20 at auto part stores. They then refused to rotate the tires because it puts their staff "in danger". I left and went over to the Discount Tire on 14 Mile in Troy. They had me in and out in 25 minutes and when I asked about the lug nut in question they said there's nothing wrong with any of them. Sadly I cannot recommend Discount Tire in Centerline because of their dishonest business practices. read more

Okay, so generally I'm a huge fan of discount tire, been buying my tires from them for well over 20 years. They've always had a good value I felt and their free flat repair is a bonus. Today I had to visit this particular discount tire because I had a foreign object in my tire. I smartly made an appointment online well in advance thinking I wouldn't have to wait. Think Seinfeld, they know how to take the appointment, but they don't know how to hold the appointment. Regardless, I had to get the tire fixed since I was driving 300 miles to Chicago from Detroit in two days and I didn't want to fall prey to any rogue deer or raccoons in the wasteland of forestry in rural Michigan or Indiana. So I wait about 40 minutes or so for the. To finally get to the tire. Reminder I did have an appointment. Part of the service request was rotation and rebalance of all the tires. I stood outside and watched the tire tech fix the tire with the foreign object in it, and then they did the rotation. The tires were never balanced. So, we all can agree that an unbalanced tire will cause issues at high speeds and will also cause premature wear on the tires. These tires are relatively new and weren't cheap by any means. So, I obviously want the balancing done so they last longer. The receipt clearly shows that I wanted a rotation and balancing done, so why wasn't it done? In any event, I'm slightly annoyed since I waited for over an hour with an appointment and they didn't do what they were supposed to do. I'm very disappointed in this location. read more

I declined the services. Then decided to take it to Belle Tire. Where I had to drop it off. They repaired it and did not say anything about new lug nuts. At no charge. Discount Tire is more like a salesman trying to sell you things. That you don't need. Not taking care of the customer. No more business with Discount Tire for me. read more

I'm not a fan of this location. I worked at a discount tire location for 3 years. I was a tire technician. I came into the store to get 2 new tires and get a flat repaired this week. The costumer service was trash. Coming from a tire background I KNOW it is not only best practice to put new tires in the rear but it's company policy. In all 3 of my years working at discount tire I never once put new tires on the front unless asked by the customer. When I notice I asked them why they didn't rotate them I was told in annoyance that I needed to come back for that. When the tech pulled up in my car I noticed the back right tire was so low that it was obvious he didn't check the air in it. So I had to pull it back around to get filled up at which time he told me it might have a nail in it. That is a something they would have realized while it was in the bay if they checked the air in it them. On my way home I noticed that the tires weren't even balanced well and my car was shaking like crazy on the highway. All and all I think I'll go to a different discount tire to get them rebalanced and rotated. I'm not going to let one bad store give me a sour taste to an otherwise good company. I'm just going to avoid this particular one from now on. I'll drive an extra 30 minutes for decent customer service and employees who actually care. Price was okay. read more

Sales person Jailen W. Asked for simple rotation and balance and check tires for leak, tire warning was on. After checking the.tires, Jailen persisted on selling me two new front tires due to balding on the inside from alignment issue. I declined the tires and he asked me five (5) additional times if I wanted to purchase two new tires. The answer was the same, no. I was told the he would not rotate the front tires or rebalance them due to minor balding issue. I said ok. I asked him to balance and rotate the rears only since he determined left rear is where the leak was. Then Jailen wanted to sell me a rear tire before determining what was wrong. I declined. After 1.5 hours only the left rear was done with the leak being found. Right was not touched. I insisted that the right rear be completed. 30 minutes later the tech found stem leak in right rear also. Glad I persisted otherwise I would be back wasting 3 more hours. this past Tuesday I took my car in to get tires put that I order from a third party company online. after a hour of waiting I get told that my car could not be serviced because my car was in an accident ( nothing major just need body work done). car drives perfectly fine, I told them I got a tire put on here back in may and my car was in the same condition. the manager just looked at me and said well maybe they didn't notice the car damage. how sway??? then I asked well can u at least put air in my tire? he told me if the air pressure is under 17 then they can't put air in it. it was tooooo cold for these games. especially since all I want want my tires replaced. read more

This greedy company thinks it's fair for delivery drivers to pick up tires from this store & deliver their Waterford township store for $26 while it's a 34 mile trip & gas is $4 a gallon. It's a 1 hour drive. If you do the math DISCOUNT TIRE thinks it's fair to make $10 which is what this goofy $26 pay means after gas & taxes are factored in. That $10 that you actually made an profit you would burn right back in gas coming back to center king from Waterford!!! Top it off when the driver gets to the store they make you wait at least 10 to 15 minutes stretching it to a 2 hours job!!! I discovered that I had a screw in my tire on Friday. I called them and they did not have an appointment available to look at my tire until Monday, so I went to a Pepboys where they confirmed that I needed my tire replaced, but did not have a tire in stock so they sent me on my way. I drive my kids around in my car, so hoping that I wouldn't have to wait for a replacement, I stopped by the Discount Tire at 5pm on Friday. They said it would be a 2 hour wait to replace it if they had it in stock, but they did not have it. They said it was at a local warehouse and that they would be able to get it to the store by Saturday morning for me to walk in. I had other things to do, so I compromised with a Monday afternoon appointment and made a $20 deposit to ensure the tire. Fast forward to Monday afternoon, I sent my husband to the Discount Tire on time for the appointment to get the tire placed. After almost 1.5 hours of waiting at the store and them taking my tire apart, they tell him that they didn't get the tire in and they sent him on his way with the busted tire he came with, no rescheduled appointment, and no resolution whatsoever. The management must be completely different than it was last year. At a minimum they could have called us to let us know that the tire did not come in, or they could have informed him when he arrived. Very poor communication and a waste of time. My car also takes a specific tire size, so the tire itself is around $260 with a warranty. They were able to fix my tire on Tuesday afternoon. It took about an hour, and again, I had to call them to see if the tire arrived yet because I did not receive a call when it was delivered. I have used this discount tire many times for tires on my vehicles. Yesterday i took my mini van up there to get 2 new tires and they broke off a stud on each of my front wheels. Of course I did not see this till today cause I have never had any problems with the service from this store. I called up there and talked to the Manager and he talked to the employee that worked on the van and he said that the studs were rusted and already broken. So they will do nothing to fix the issue. Funny thing is if you look at the studs they have not even had the time to rust, and I know they were there cause I had the front struts replaced on the van the day before. I took my car in to get a leak at the valve stem fixed. when my car was returned after "service" - (the valve stem still leaks, although they said they replaced it), there was a big scratch on the leather of the steering wheel. Needless to say I will not be returning to this location. read more

This is my first time visiting this location, and I must say that it has been a very pleasant experience. I came in on a Monday right after a big winter storm and they were slammed!! What I most appreciated was the fact that regardless of how busy they were, I along with others were treated very nicely. What prompted me to write the review was as I was sitting in the waiting area, I was privy to hear that the phone etiquette was A-1 and the phones were non stop from the moment I walked in the door!!! I dropped off two trailer tires for one repair and one replacement on about 9/17 I was called later that day to purchase a tire since one was not able to be repaired. I don't mind a wait but the day I dropped off there was only 2 sales people inside and it took about 20 minutes or more to get checked in.... ok I take that as a one off.... Come back 9/23 to pick up tires the repair was made but the one I paid for not even mounted....why it's been paid for for 6 days so now I have to wait for that to be mounted. I don't think these are one offs looks like long waits are common here and if I come back it will be to the Gratiot and 14mile location since I have never experienced this problem. Purchased 4 new tires today and I am very happy with the service I received. These guys are BUSY -- but they handle it well. They're still pleasant to deal with, they actually answer the phone when you call with questions, and they even offered to give me a ride even though I was just headed a few buildings over. I did a lot of research before coming in to make my final decision. Of course, after reading so many online reviews, I was confused and worried about purchasing a tire that isn't worth the money. I came in with a ton of questions, and I feel like I got an honest answer for all of them. As for some of the negative reviews on tires that I read, they explained which problems they had seen before, and which ones they hadn't. They also pointed out some issues I asked about could be caused my poor tire maintenance. It was very helpful in making my selection on what to get. I also applied for their financing because they offer 6 months same as cash -- or as much as 9 or 12 months if you spend enough. Applying online was quick and easy, and I just handed them a print out of my confirmation when I went in. I primarily dealt with Garr -- super friendly and helpful! As others have mentioned, making an appointment wouldn't hurt -- but they do very well handling the walk ins considering how busy they are. Definitely recommend! read more

The day after I bought 4 new tires my rebate form was rejected. I bought and paid for the tires online. My receipt from the store had a zero balance because I had already paid on line. Story time! A couple years ago went in to get four new tires from the location not only did it take them literally half the day to get me taken care roughly a week passes by I'm on the highway on the way home from work in a kinda rough area as I work in the heart of Detroit basically I start noticing a front wheel vibration I start slowing down merging over to the slow lane and in slow motion I see my wheel start to wobble very heavily and right as I get to the slow lane my tire flys off my car damaging the entire wheel well rims tires fenders door the car was literally sparking as the rotor is scraping on the ground and I'm rolling forward the tire and rim hits another lady then flys onto the other side of the freeway. The information I received after the fact is that I was missing a lugnut or two and the emplyees didn't even ask if I wanted to buy some to put on there or notify me they were missing. They also either didn't torque down the lugnuts to the correct specs or tell me like her after a couple hundred miles maybe stop back by to re torque the lugs or give them a check. The studs to hold the wheel on were complexly blown off So long story short discount tire does a horrible job repairing my car after they basically ruined a car I just bought. Gives me the car back and it's leaking transfluid out the seals of the drive shaft the trans is messed up and eventually goes a little bit farther down the line so they tell me again after I get the car back to take it to the shop have them verify that this damage was caused by the accident and repair it and they will cover the bill later. Call many of district managers and all these people and end up having to pay a 900 dollar bill to fix a 1000 dollar car myself that I would not have repaired would I have known it was not going to be covered as stated by emplyees. Please this place is not worth putting your life in danger to save a couple bucks on cheap tires and rims the employees they have are very untalented at what they do. The service was okay, the tires were great, but as I was standing in line at a particularly busy time, one of the mechanics came into the lobby screaming "oh great, more people! There's a 5 hour wait already!" There were about 15 people in the lobby, and he was throwing a temper tantrum in front of all of them! He walked into the office behind the desk and slammed the door, and when he went back out to the garage, did the same thing. I thought this was very immature and unprofessional of him and truly ruined the already unpleasant experience of having to buy tires. read more
