I had a couple laptops that had cracked screens and one had a hard drive that was seconds away from…read morecrashing. I looked up computer repairs on Yelp and found SRM Technology and saw even though it only had one review it was 5 star one. In that review the person mentioned his prices are reasonable and boy she was not lying. I brought one of my computers, a Dell laptop that had a completely shattered screen and the hard drive that was ready to die any second. It hadn't been used since late 2010 early 2011 and when I had taken it to Best Buy to be fixed they told me the estimate would be $800 for the screen to be fixed and another $300-$400 for the hard drive. Obviously I am better off buying a new one. Well I took it here to SRM and he not only fixed the laptop's screen and replaced the hard drive and put a better operating system on it, he did it for under $230. I am beyond pleased with how well he did. Far exceeded my expectations. So if you are having issues with your computers this is without doubt the place to go.

I'm from Chicago and would drive out here ANY TIME to let him work with my sensitive laptops. He is so incredibly knowledgeable and kind, and he also helped me with a totally abusive situation I had to go through with the owner of Unique Geek who was rude and insisted that every problem on a used computer I had spent $850 to buy from him, was somehow my fault and unresolvable. Roman resolved all my issues within the hour, and took the time to sit down with me to make sure everything was resolved. Had Roman been the one to transfer my data (which he does for hundreds less), I wouldn't have had any issues had I hired him to do the job in the first place because he would have done it correctly. Before I go on, James at Unique Geek is an excellent worker who deserves nothing but respect, but unfortunately the owner has been there the last days and was totally unwilling to deal with a number of very serious issues in the new-old laptop I purchased from them for a rather hefty price, at least $150 more and Roman tells me $300 more than he would have charged me for an identical computer and data transfer. When I went back to Unique Geek after attempting to use my new-old computer, there were MULTIPLE serious dysfunctions with the operating systems which I had paid literally a fortune to have updated and prepared for an accurate and functional data transfer. My keyboard and spacebar were not tracking, and so there were bizarre spaces in my word processing. Also, such vital functions were totally unavailable, such as accessing an external hard drive, accessing my downloads, or accessing my desktop through finder without going through a 2 minutes process for something I need to do 100 times a day. Roman resolved my problem so quickly and was prepared, as well, to address the other issues. From here on out, he will be the go to IT person for my needs ranging from laptops to desktop setups.
