I was visiting MT and could not find very many souvenirs, and the gentleman at Albertsons was like, well how about Scheels? This place is all the sports stores (and some) in one. It's huge with multiple stories, along with a rideable Farris wheel in the middle, and a sweet fish tank when you enter. This is definitely the place to go when need any kind of sport related items, or even just known-brand clothes to wear! Value wasn't too bad, compared with other prices in town. I had many associates greet me, and all around a nice visit. I found some souvenirs that were better than expected. Highly recommend.

I called and left messages 3 times and was never called back by him. Instead after the third call, a person I didn't contact called and said they have the issue figured out and it would be 2-3 weeks and I'd have my pistol. Today I get a call and the man (very pleasant) told me that my rain check had expired and they weren't going to be getting them and I was out of luck. I am very disappointed and discouraged with their lies, deceit and lack of professionalism.

We could have not been more thrilled, not only did they have a great selection of quality outdoor gear, it was extremely inviting and had some more locally unique-boutique style items. As well as a very helpful staff that was more than willing to go out of there way to offer any help or advice - trails to hike - places to eat, etc. Coming from California, we don't even have shops this awesome! Next time we are in town, we'll be back to shop some more, cheers!

Hooray for The Base Camp and their phenomenally trained staff. Expectations exceeded! The people were knowledgeable, looked up information when I couldn't find the exact thing I wanted, offered to order something not in stock, but could get from their store in Denver, and then let me explore other inventory. They also made it clear I was under no obligation to buy what they ordered if I changed my mind. No deposit, no restocking fee. Nothing. Available for answering questions, the employees didn't follow me around the store like I was going to steal something (well, maybe one person did on my second visit), give unsolicited commentary on every item I picked up, or attempt to drag me to every other similar, and more expensive, item. As my trip gets closer, I'll be back here to pick up those last minute miscellany. And, because The Base Camp has things for every type of outdoor adventure, it'll be an easy stop without the big-box hassles for future trips.
