For as long as I've been a patron of the Splash page, I've never been more disappointed in the complete lack of customer service, and pure entitlement to his customers money with minimal effort from the store owner himself.
If it weren't for a strong gaming group that gathered there regularly during my time in Billings, i'd have stopped using his store altogether.
His mark-up is disproportionately high when compared to MSRP, and Amazon.com.
He will openly lie to his patrons about product availability in order to induce point of sale.
He will openly lie to his patrons about his access to pre-release materials intended for public use.
--case in point. Games Workshop will often tease new material for customers to come to the store. I went into the Splash Page and saw the book in question sitting on the floor. I asked if he had the book, my eyes firmly fixed on the book. He replied "nope, i wont get it for another month." I said, "Games Workshop has you listed as a place that receives these promo materials, you sure?" He became frustrated and suggested he had work to do. As I browsed the store I watched him notice he had the book, and instead of correcting his error, and informing me, he sought to hide the book by stacking other deliveries on it, then walking around it to make sure it couldn't be viewed from any angle.
I will never spend another penny in his store. If i could give him negative stars, i would. read more
