I get that there are policies in place because of its size but I was on crutches. I instead chose to eat across the street at the Greek restaurant where I didn't feel uncomfortable. I've been known to drop north of 400 on a dinner for two before but not when I feel my patronage is not valued. We had dinner at the Greek restaurant where and they were really nice. After dinner we crossed the street to try the old fashioned at circa and again the hostess was polite but made me feel awkward. There were open tables but relented at sitting at the bar in fear she wouldn't seat us if we didn't go to the bar. The height is uncomfortable being on crutches. I will never return to this place.

The bartender Ryenne, I think that's how you spell it, approached us and started promoting for a bar in Spring Lake called Pyrates. Been there. I would never suggest anyone going there. It has a lot of problems. I don't how the owner feels, but if one of my employees was to be promoting for another bar, they would not have a job anymore. Also I noticed her serving a group of guys I work with on Bragg. The problem with that is most of them are underage. I've informed my chain of command as to who they are.

I was at the owners were there so have some time I have a conversation with them and they were super nice and friendly. Let us walk around the entire shop and answer all questions and total some history. It's a college vibe but not an undergrad vibe if that makes any sense. You may see some grass students or whatever the case may be, but you wouldn't find a bunch of 19-year-olds piled up in this kind of spot. It used to be small apparently but they expanded it out to a back room and an attic kind of situation. It seems like a attic kickback kind of spot. Really homish or something you will find in a living room. It made it on the top list of speakeasies on Yelp so I had to check it out while I was in the area. I would 100% recommend.

For my drink I ordered the last word cocktail (house gin, luxardo maraschino, green chartreuse, and lime juice). Overall this bar was good, and definitely worth checking out for a drink or two.

Amazing! Our bartender, LT, was so much fun. Every drink was spot on. An espresso martini for my wife and a bold old fashioned for me. On top of that, LT clearly knows his stuff when it comes to both cocktails and bourbon knowledge. I added a 1oz neat pour of 12yr Weller. Let's just say this place is a Weller lover's dream. The owner is a huge Weller fan and keeps the lounge stocked with pretty much every bottle imaginable. Something that's nearly impossible to find in Greensboro. And then there's the showstopper: a Weller Millennium bottle sitting on display. At $600 for a 1oz pour, it's pure eye candy for me. I'll just admire it from one of the comfy couches or large chairs and keep my wallet happy.
