It wasn't a bad time but it was a very chill environment. I don't think that is bad. It was crowded so obviously people in the area enjoy it and I told a coworker it might be a place for them but it was a general place that had a local feel. If like a little excitement or engagement like that it might not be that for you. I am pretty neutral most places and try to do a when in Rome sort of thing but did try to get everyone up and dancing which maybe wasn't the place for that at that time. Arlington is a small town feel with some cool spots, if you go alone you'll probably feel welcome.

Drinks are cheap and there's plenty of booze to choose from all the way from top shelf liquors to wells when rent is due. It also has a decent little patio out back to support smokers that need some room to relax. Felt safe in a bit of sketchy part of town but it just adds to the character of the place.
