Due to material shortages, we got our supplies in March. This was expected, and Helen keeps us up to date on progress. We were notified when the permits were pulled and given an estimated date for scheduling the roof replacement. Everything went like clockwork until a manufacturing defect (NOT Hercules's fault) in the underlayment caused unforeseen issues. The company's owner came out to assure us they were expediting a resolution to the problem and took extra measures to ensure the roof was watertight until new material could be obtained. Hercules in no way was passing the buck and held themselves fully accountable. Mark, our job foreman, did an outstanding job keeping the wheel on the bus and moving the job forward. I know stuff happens; I've been there myself. Hercules handled it professionally and expeditiously. Every person my wife and I interacted with, from workers on the roof to company office staff, was kind and courteous. I highly recommend them for their trustworthiness, workmanship, customer service, and integrity. They are a rarity in today's world of contracting. Even though they advertise, that they will temporary fix a leak during this process they did nothing. A total lie. The slick oil salesman head of the…read morecompany, Ryan Gustafson, came to my home, looked me in the eyes and promised a quality new roof job, including small requests I had with regard to quality work expectations. They had a team of young non-english speaking workers, the head of which was between 22-24 years old. They created a flood in my kitchen when they made a hole in the roof right before a torrential rain. I insisted someone come and repair it before the weekend coming up. It was fixed, with no apology. Unlike their guarantee, I was not kept updated on each phase of the job. At the end of the project, they added $2,244 to the job with suspicious reasons. I asked for a short meeting to go over pics and charges, I was put off week after week by Ryan Gustafson. Then, to add insult to injury, after threatening me with a lien, and my paying their questionable amount the very next day, they took my check and put a lien on my house. Though some people were satisfied, I was not so lucky. They saw a senior citizen they could bamboozle. In the long run, I didn't get the deal they gaslighted me with, when they padded the bill at the end. Don't trust them!

They arrived and unloaded on the wrong side. I mentioned it to the person in charge and within minutes he moved. I thought that was especially considerate. He also took the time to tell me that the general condition of the roof was excellent and probably would last another 10 to 15 years with little repair. The next day I received an email with pictures of the damage that caused the leak and the repair process. They were always on time, very competitive in pricing and cleaned up entirely when done. I even feel as if they replaced more rotted wood then was originally quoted at no additional charge. I give them a perfect 10 from the original quote to the job completion. My daughter and her mother in law plan on hiring them for their new roof replacement next year. I highly recommend BMG and sincerely do not feel you need to go anywhere else.
