We always paid our premiums promptly, faithfully and were claim-free until my wife was hit by another driver, no fault of her own. We have been informed by Mr. Sonnenberger that we are now being dropped by State Farm. I highly recommend avoiding this bunch like the plague. They will cheerfully serve you only as long as you remain claim-free. These folks make car salesman look absolutely righteous with regards to truthfulness. They will pass the buck to their masters at the corporate level and loudly trumpet their helplessness and lack of influence. The only way we could communicate with them was to set up an appointment at their office, which generally involved a minimum of 1 1/2 hours with them. After SEVERAL such appointments, we discovered the travel insurance we were told was purchased, had not been. We needed to cancel our cruise because of family illness and lost thousands of dollars. However I submitted a roof claims that was damaged by several storms. State Farm refused to pay because the age and said my responsibility to maintain which I have over the years. Receipts supplied showing repairs. The same shingles discontinued and use what SF recommended, which is not a uniform look. Photos prove this difference. State law says roof repair has to be uniformed. After two years of numerous appeals. The company thinks of the $ in there pocket and doesn't care about helping care of a customer of 30 years being loyal. Bye SF. I found same coverage a lot cheaper. So, here are the things I know for a fact about Zach Green: 1) Zach won't lift a finger to help you even during a call he initiated to get you to do insurance history shadow work documenting that you've had insurance without a break for the last 11-years because he says our old insurance company would not allow him access to that information (maybe that started to tell me something right there). I had just given Zach the courtesy of going over the final details to write our home and auto policies for 3 vehicles by going to my car in a parking lot while my wife was in a doctors visit only a few minutes away from where Zach said he was at the time. I had pulled the key out of the ignition slightly so that the chimes would stop and when the first call ended, policies written mind you, I accidentally locked the keys in the car. Zach made no offer to help, OR suggesting as to where I might get help, leaving me, and a minute later my wife, to feel this guy would never be ready to help us. 2) Zach knows nothing about common courtesy. The next afternoon after writing our policies, my wife and I were in the middle of something when the alarm went off that 2 people were walking up our driveway, one started to go around the side of the house. We scrambled, because it was only months ago that I had called the police when a neighbor's house had been broken into. Turns out, these people started repeatedly ringing our bell and persistently knocking on the door (like you see in the cop shows just before they break it down). The woman says, "We're here for the benefit of AllState Insurance, ..." and need to photograph my wife and I. I said, "Get off my property and tell AllState to cancel all policies." To which the guy said, "We will." I called Zach's office and got the usual, he's not available right now, can I help you instead routine you get for an insurance agent now-a-days. This time I said, "Sure, cancel all policies." "Let me have Zach call you." "No, not necessary, just cancel all policies." I followed that up with an email directly to Zach, and have not heard back. My advice shopping for insurance is that you should keep shopping beyond AllState, and certainly beyond Zach Green. One of the handymen we use suggested Farm Bureau in this area for both value and service. We're still with Widener Insurance for now.
