UPDATE:I posted a review on yelp about the experience I had them. This "business manager"lied about me coming many times! He's NEVER done my nails before! I've NEVER seen this man before until he lied about his interaction with me. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I specifically got my nails done by Tony. To which this strange man decided to get mad at me for being too picky.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had 1 issue to report to them about the shoddy work. I advocated for myself. So, I decided to go back and requested that they fix them. I informed them not using good products and poor technique. I was wary of getting acrylic nails because I've seen people with bulky acrylics (which is not attractive at all) but I tried it out today and Tony made it look so natural that they look like my own nails! The quality is definitely worth the price and tip (and they're cheap!). I usually don't write reviews but Tony always delivers such high quality work - he's very meticulous and takes his time to ensure that I get what I ask for. On top of that, my nails always last weeks up to a month without chipping (and I'm very heavy-handed). Their time and quality of a spa pedicure. Never been so disappointed in a service. For the cost of the pedicure then to be done in just short of 30 minutes is a joke. This time around I got a manicure in addition to my usual gel French tip pedicure because I'm getting married tomorrow. My nail tech (I didn't get her name unfortunately) was very helpful in guiding me to what I could get since I don't usually get my nails done. She suggested to do a gel x full set as they are good for short to medium length and look more natural than acrylic. I got my nails done on a Thursday afternoon. Wendy did my nails. They were ok. Not the best job but ok enough until I can get an appointment at my regular salon. She's very nice and outgoing but the quality of work is not there. I got gel x as I usually do, and there was so much excess left under my nails. A week had gone by and then we get to Sunday and I'm walking into church and I go to get something out of my purse and the whole nail completely pops off!!! I look at my other thumb nail and it's lifting on the side. I just got my nails done last week!!! So I go to the salon after church and Wendy was kind enough to fix them. This was the quickest gel manicure and pedicure I've ever received in my life. Literally under 60 mins and I can tell the lady helping me named Tina was in such a hurry. She was very rough and rude. I understand there was a communication barrier but I can also feel that she didn't want to do what I was asking her to do. My nails are decent looking but I honestly did not want to do gel because my last gel experience didn't last long at all diff salon. I am back to the drawing board to find a place that does a better than mediocre job. I kindly gave her a generous tip since we all need to make a living. I can say it was a waste of my time. I did want something nice for Mother's Day but I have to deal with it. The place is decent inside and not super friendly. I went in today showed the guy a picture of the nails I wanted he said "ok I can do it" and proceeded to start my fill. Had to tell him 3 different times to fix them as they were different lengths and uneven (nails are still not same length) once he's "done" he tells me to show him the picture and starts painting my nails... half way through he walks over to another nail tech and comes back and tells me he can't do it! Why did he tell me he could it at the start if he couldn't? At this point I get upset tell him to stop so I can leave when I get to the cash register I tell him "next time tell your customers the truth in advance when you can't do something because it's messed up that now I have to pay someone else to fix the mess you made" The tech he went and talked to said I can try but it's not gonna look like the picture.. so why offer to "fix it"? I wish I wouldn't have stepped foot in this place. Yelp fooled me this time with the 4 star rating. The lady I normally go to was not available so I ended up at Dip nails for a pedicure and full set. I have never had such a poor pedicure experience. My feet were only in the water for a minute or so and it felt rushed from the start. It was a poor job but at that point I was going to leave it alone. Proceeded to the nails, I showed the nail tech a picture of what I wanted. The length- shape- and color! Please see the pictures, I can't believe I paid for this! I had to ask again for the nails to be cut shorter because even though I showed a picture and said I don't want long nails, I still somehow managed to get long nails. Smh Then as she was working on my nails I noticed my toes looked terrible. The polish had dried and it was cracking/lifting. She re-did the two big toes, but by the time I got up to pay they were bad again. At this point it was extremely frustrating and it seemed like such a problem picking a color I wanted. Finally just went with white- I mean who can mess up white. Sigh! Wendy runs the place and she is so welcoming! Always greeting me by name and squeezing me into whoever's schedule she can. Everyone here is amazing!! I used to come to Peter though and after he left I was so sad to hear he wasn't coming back. I then tried Kevin, who also left, and Tony who is amazing as well, but tried David today and he makes me feel like I got my Peter back. Super attentive and has a keen eye for detail. He takes his time which I LOVE because the last thing I want is to feel rushed when I came to relax. His shaping is beautiful and technique is definitely mastered. I love this nail salon! I've been to quite a few salons here (they were just ok) and decided to give this place a try because they have dip powders. I will never go back to gel or regular polish. They do such a great job with their dip products my nails do not chip or break off. They're so much stronger now too and lights are not used to harden the polish which is a plus for me. Also, their scented pedicures are amazing! I've been seen by everyone who works there and they each do such a great job. My legs/feet look and feel great. Best pedicure I've ever received. I have been once before and had a really nice experience, but after today my opinions have unfortunately changed. I went in with a reference picture and left with an end result that did not match. I did not say anything at the moment because I was hoping they would grow on me, but they didn't. I called the shop about 20 minutes after seeing if I could schedule for them to be fixed because they simply did not reflect what I wanted. They told me it was my fault and since I did not say anything then, to which I understand, but at the same time I'm still a paying customer. It is not like I had gone days with the finished nails. The issue is, when trying to set up a follow up appointment for them to be fixed they were not lenient at all. He said it had to be the same manicurist and it has to be tomorrow. If not, I would be charged. The person on the phone repeated it was my fault maybe 3 times...all I wanted was a little bit of flexibility and the chance to get the design I asked for. I was in town visiting my sister and got a broken nail so went here based on the reviews. I did notice reviews bickering back-and-forth from client and owner which was weird but the pictures of their work looked good and the price wasn't too bad so thought I should give it a try. Also, it was only a broken acrylic nail I needed fixed but I ended up just getting a fill too. I called and got an appointment within 20 minutes of our phone call which I appreciated they could fit me in. They told me a fill it would be $20 for a fill w/ regular polish and $5 to fix a broken nail. When I went in they were pretty busy already & it was only 30 minutes after opening but they accommodated me right away respecting my appointment time. I believe the owner was the one who did my fill and fixed my broken nail. (I recognized his face from Yelp) He was really quick and asked me if I liked it once along the way but we were pretty silent other than that which I am completely used to so it didn't bother me. I absolutely love love love the fact that they match one color and offer it in gel, regular polish and dip!! I actually had to ask him two times that he was sure I just wanted regular nail polish because his Samples on the nails looked really nice which is what they usually show you only when you get gel or dip. I was in and out in less than an hour and he did a great job on my nails. Now the only reason I gave it a four instead of a five star is because he ended up charging me eight dollars to fix a broken nail which I was pretty disappointed. Especially since I didn't get any extras like gel or dip or any designs on my nails. I was curious to ask why he was charging me so much but he had already done it and he did do a good job so I just paid it and left. As far as the work they do though they did excellent. Nice job but really expensive. I had a hot wax deluxe pedicure with gel and it was $60! Plus I had to pay the $2 fee to use my credit card, and of course I leave a tip($8), because it's deserved, but a total of $70 for a pedicure is a lot. The pedicure was alright, not the best paint job and not worth double the price I have paid at other nails in the area. The salon was clean and busy, everyone wore a mask and they are dividers to protect customers from Each other. They basic pedicure was $35, then a deluxe at $40, hot wax deluxe $45, and then different aroma therapy/hot stone pedis at $50. Gel polish is $15 extra. read more
