I am always going to love this place . For me it feels safe and comfortable! I spent most of my 20's here and just recently started going back. The drinks are reasonably priced and they have some food but mostly bar type not much for me as we are vegetarian but that's ok. I love how it's decorated it's just fun! The staff always treats you like they have known you forever . You need to visit knowing what to expect: it's a pub with pub grub and its crowd and clientele is largely centered around shows at Dingbatz, the historic New Jersey metal and rock venue across the street. \../ The food here is typical pub grub but is quite good - most people who visit are pleasantly surprised. Their zucchini sticks are excellent and their wings are good. Although my order for cajun seasoned wings wasn't on target, it was a busy time. Hang out long enough into the wee hours of the morning and you'll definitely see some rock n' roll royalty coming in with fans after a show across the street. PROS: This place was very lit. The target market here would be heavy metal, punk, emo people. If you aren't one of them, it's not a good place for you. They have decorations, a juke box, game tables, and they serve food late. Staff is semi nice and it even has a good amount of bathrooms CONS: The food takes 9 years to come out and the place doesn't have a website so it's tough to figure out what they have on the menu food and drink wise OVERALL: Great place to come and hang out if you're apart of that type of crowd. read more

Stopped by here on a Saturday evening with a small group. It seems the popularity of this place increases as it gets later in the night- and we came pretty early so I couldn't really get a vibe for the kind of people that come here. There are some bar seats and booths in the front of the place. Decent craft beer selection including a few locals which is always great to see. Music is playing, the place is dimly lit, and service for drinks is rather quick and friendly. We came in the winter, but the front room was kept pretty warm. If you go through a dark hallway, you'll enter the back room where you can play either pool or air hockey. There's also a jukebox, but if you don't use it, it stays pretty quiet as the music playing in the front can't really be heard from the back. In the back room, the temperature is also much cooler. For what it is (a dive bar) it seems like a decent place to come by and grab a drink. I didn't eat anything so I can't comment on the quality of the food. read more

So, I walked into Dingo's Den on my birthday with a friend on a Monday night. There were only a few seats remaining at the bar and the music was playing. A few shots, a few random conversations with friendly patrons/regulars, bar food to help soak up some Patron and my birthday was a good one. I walked out of there smiling and toasty on a chilly evening. Great thing about Dingo's is that you can select your own music, have a seat at the bar or one of their comfy couches, and chill with a drink and not have your wallet choked just to do it. Bar pie & wings for only $8.00!!! And the decor is so punk/dark/edgy I just fell in love with it the first time I walked. From skulls to red velvet plush couches to horns hanging above the bar, how could you not??!? Drinks are so moderately priced. The juke box is a bargain. $2.00 gets you 7 selections!!! I'm going back again this weekend and possibly for New Years Eve, as they open NYE at normal opening hours and then do NOT close until 3 a.m. Friday night/Saturday morning!! read more

Love this bar. Before I moved, my friends and I came here all the time. Grungy, divey rock bar, just the way I like it. Lots of horror memorabilia and random junk decorating the place. A lot of bikers hang out here. Old school jukebox. Pool tables in the back. Not sure if they still do, but they had great drink specials for ladies all the time. Either way, cheap drinks. This bar aims for a Hot Topic-Esque Vibe. The crowd consists of a very peculiar crowd that basks in the glow of Primus and AFI of years past. The bartender Blair with huge boobs was awesome though. My card was run 2x and I've called 4-5 times asking for a refund. they always take my number and promise manager will call me back as soon as he gets in. it's been 2 months now of me calling and I feel silly to keep calling for a 16 refund$. Metal dive bar with a great selection of music to choose from on the jukebox. Drink prices are reasonable and specials are awesome. Every wednesday is ladies night with half off drinks for the girls until 12 am. and half price off on appetizers. Thursday night's special is $2 for any domestic draft beer and you get to bring in your own mug! The max size your allowed to bring is the same as a big gulp at 711 which is totally worth the money if you ask me. Bartenders are awesome and kitchen is open till 2am drinks served until 3. Ive been here on slow nights and on busy nights and its always pretty awesome. The drinks are not pricy at all and theres plenty of space at the bar and some old ass couches to lay on. I usually go to this bar on a Friday or Saturday never had a problem only once before this with the same bartender -I went there Sunday night 09/03/2023 and the only bartender there was the worst and very disrespectful to all the customers there!! my husband was asking to be served for 2 beers she immediately ignore him -he then went down the bar to get service when she immediately served another guy and completely ignore my husband-then she proceeded to have another guy kicked out due to him complaining for her lack of service and her being disrespectful towards him the guy that dragged him out did not even work there-she proceeded to try to get us kicked out -when her friend refused she started to then insult us -she called me names like t@at and C@nt- i then asked her name but she did not want to give to me -for her to still have a job there just shows you what kind of business this bar is running-as we proceeded to leave we had customers tell us that she acts like this all the time -I will be reporting this bar to the better business bureau and every other site I can leave a review on and warn everyone not to go here!! read more

How did my favorite rock bar turn in to an old man bar? I used to live at this place! They had cheap good drinks, good music, and good people. Now, it's totally dead. Except for maybe the pop and rap music playing. They replaced the old school juke box, filled only with rock, punk, and metal, with one of those new, over-priced, fancy, touch-screen, jukeboxes where you can search for and play anything. The result? Pop and rap since the jukebox auto-plays popular hits when no one puts money in. The very few people you will find in here now-a-days are 50+ bikers and their drunken mess women. The owner Fred is there all the time going back and forth to his other bar across the street Dingbatz . He's one with the people . Never had a problem getting a drink even when the bar is busy . The more I come here the more I like it. My bf plays music so we are across the street a lot but this is the place the musicians come to hang. My opinion has turned since I had the food here. The "famous" bar pie is really good! It comes out hot with the cheese falling off. I've also had the chicken fingers and french fries that are better than any other dive bar with food. If you like dive bars you'll like Dingo's. I do like dive bars, so it works out well. It's generally a rock/metal/goth/whatever place, so don't come in dressed like it's date night or you might end up complaining like some of the other reviewers. Everything's kind of old and kind of crappy, but it's not very expensive to have a few drinks. It's cool that they keep the pool table in the back room away from the bar. There's enough space so peopl aren't tripping over each other and hitting each other with sticks. read more

It's a dive bar. That's fine, I wasn't expecting anything special. In fact, I used to come here about 10 years ago and have had some good times. What I did expect was a cold, carbonated beer. All the tap beers we ordered were flat, and I'd say "chilled"... not warm, but not cold. The music was blasting so loud we could hardly talk to each other, even though there were about 8 people in the bar. The bartender let us know when we walked in at 8:30 that she was closing at 9. I gave her a good tip, because I felt bad we were keeping her past close, but they still turned off all the music and flashed the lights to let us know to leave. Cut from a different cloth, Dingo's is a true diamond in the rough among the high volume of generic "Jersey" bars. All you need is pair of ripped up Levi's and a concert, rock or heavy metal t-shirt and you're good to go! A nice dimly illuminated lounge area inside with a few couches, and a bar that actually serves PBR cans! Rock and Metal music play all night long. The crowd is different them most bars, but you're sure to run into some very interesting people. We come here at least twice a week, we usually get really attentive bartenders. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed and great. Music is good. Can't really complain except we came here on a Thursday and got two drinks that tasted like water and no service whatsoever after those initial drinks. It took a long time to close our tab. No eye contact; the two bartenders serviced everyone else once, twice, and walked around us like we didn't exist. They did, however, have time to check their phones after serving drinks to everyone but us. We came here for a relaxed time but left angry. Probably best to avoid ladies night Thursdays. read more
