I've gotten massage here years ago and it was just ok because the temperature in this place is pretty cold so it wasn't as relaxing as I wanted. Kristin, the Hydrotherapist is always super nice, professional, personable and informative. I've been going to her on and off for about 4-5 years and I love it. She loves what she does and see educates you beyond the basics of the hydrotherapy process. She uses an open system which means totally natural flow. She provides a magnesium spray that is followed by a direct heater to the stomach area. That promotes a better cleanse. Also a massager to help loosen bowl in intestine area. I absolutely love this process and she totally make you comfortable. She educated me on diet and etc even for my family. I've definitely recommended her to several friends and family.

Brigitta was awesome in explaining things as we went (I've only done acupuncture 1 other time), very knowledgeable about her field and personable to boot. I was impressed with the technology that they use for the evaluation and all her numbers came back pretty close to how I feel. She was thorough during the acupuncture process and I did feel very relaxed during the process. For the cupping, well, I wish I'd researched it before I went in. Not to say it was bad, just unexpected! She does fire cupping but thankfully I felt like I was in good hands and could trust her. The "massage" was pretty comfortable feeling - similar to a deep tissue massage! She did warn me that I would have marks (I bruise easily) but I wasn't quite prepared for how my back looked that evening. But I did feel that it helped "melt" away some of my tension in my upper back so that's a good thing. Their office space was inviting, clean and soothing. It's not the most convenient of locations for me and the prices are a little higher than I can justify at the moment for something that was recommended for me to get done every week (I have migraines), however they do offer discounts if you purchase multiple at once, so it's at least an attempt to make it affordable!

I first heard of Urban Acupuncture and about acupuncture back in 2016. I was suffering from what I…read morethought was sciatica and didn't get relief from PT, massage, exercise or tens unit stimulation. Given the relatively low price (compared to massage or private acupuncture - I had to give it a try. The treatment itself (applying the pins) doesn't hurt at all. And what I absolutely love is the relaxing environment - plush, huge leather recliners; dim lighting; soft music; and a feeling of safety and wellness. I worked right by here and would come over lunch. It was heaven. Unfortunately, it didn't help and the office moved downtown. I don't really live by this or the other location so I stopped treatment. Skip forward - after an MRI gave me the real diagnosis (hamstring) - and too much yoga (if there is such a thing) has kicked my pain into high gear, I decided to start up treatment again - if nothing else as part of my self care. Well-being treatment. The technician I see at this location is the same. But now I also visit the other location - depending on what is available on the schedule. Both are great places with equally soothing treatment rooms and skilled staff. I'm actually headed there now for my weekly treatment. And goodness - while progress is not fast or great, it is helping. And I love the 30-40 minutes of heaven I get. I highly recommend you try it!!

I have been a regular ever since and can't say enough about the high level of care I receive at both the Westerville and Clintonville offices. The practitioners are experienced and kind. They've been able to make this needle-phobe quite comfortable with the process. Improvement did not happen overnight. It was slow and steady, with a hiccup every now and then. But being able to live the active lifestyle to which I am accustomed during my senior years means a great deal and the good folks at UAC have made that possible. I mentioned some of my issues to Nancy and she had me lay down and inserted the acupuncture needles in different parts of my body. She told to lay still and she'll be back in half an hour. She said it'd be best if I could go to sleep. I tried closing my eyes and relaxing. Idk if it was the new environment, but I was a little anxious and just kept looking at my watch. That's on me. It was closer to an hour when she returned. At that point I was just anxious to get the needles out and leave. In hindsight: the first half an hour was pretty relaxing. the warmth from light was nice and I even told her it feels similar to a hot stone massage. Nancy suggested I come back for treatment once a week. I'm planning to do a couple more visits since I've read such good things about Nancy. P.S the needles don't hurt. The initial prick might sting just a little but after that it's all good.

After many experiences with chiropractic care over the last few decades, I feel that I can say with…read moresome measure of confidence that Active Edge Chiropractic & Functional Medicine is something of a "Unicorn" in the industry. Both Dr Hensel and Craner are extremely knowledgeable and supportive, and I really appreciate how they have made me aware of many of the options available to me at their practice, but have yet to pressure me into anything I might not be comfortable with trying. Already, I have discovered many new therapies within the scope of Chiropractic care that I did not even know existed (for instance- Dr Craner successfully relieved some pain/ pressure in my abdomen that I didn't even realize was being caused by a hernia, and don't even get me started on the pressure points inside the mouth- mind blown by how affective her adjustments have been!! It was akin to taking a muscle relaxer without the side effects , immediately after the adjustment.). This is the first time I have felt trusting enough of a Chiropractor to allow them to adjust my neck- thanks again Dr Craner, and Dr Hensel is also very knowledgeable about functional medicine, (even recommended some exploration of how trauma is carried in the body, which I appreciate in regard to feeling heard and seen by a practitioner). It is rare for me to justify paying a practitioner beyond what my insurance company deems coverage, but I consider it WELL worth the cost for my overall well-being.
