I called in advance to make an appointment and walked in 10 minutes before my appointment time. When I stepped inside the business, there was no one at the reception desk there, while two Asian women were sitting on the couch, staring at me curiously without saying a word as if they were completely surprised by my presence. No "Hello", "May I help you?"...nothing. When I told them I was the one with the 2:30 appointment, they looked at me as if they had no clue of what I said leaving me feel quite uncomfortable and awkward. They also barely speak English. I could have left then and there but really wanted some massage so I stayed and told them the duration I wanted the massage for, and was told that I had to pay in advance. An advance full payment for massage? Is this a normal practice? Anyway, when I tried to pay with my credit card, I was told to pay in cash because the credit card device was malfunctioning. I mentioned some of my issues to Nancy and she had me lay down and inserted the acupuncture needles in different parts of my body. She told to lay still and she'll be back in half an hour. She said it'd be best if I could go to sleep. I tried closing my eyes and relaxing. Idk if it was the new environment, but I was a little anxious and just kept looking at my watch. That's on me. It was closer to an hour when she returned. At that point I was just anxious to get the needles out and leave. In hindsight: the first half an hour was pretty relaxing. the warmth from light was nice and I even told her it feels similar to a hot stone massage. Nancy suggested I come back for treatment once a week. I'm planning to do a couple more visits since I've read such good things about Nancy. P.S the needles don't hurt. The initial prick might sting just a little but after that it's all good.

The only reason she messaged me is she's angry I gave her a well deserved one star. After her conduct after my review I wished there was a way for ZERO stars. Also since she posted a comment about our messages talking about a 24 hour booking. I'll post a pic of her asking me to book for 2:30pm the SAME DAY. Didn't see any reviews but decided to give this small business a shot. Boy was I mistaken. I booked online for a 11:30 appointment and booking was very easy and fit my schedule perfectly so i thought why not, so I get in my car, drive 30 minutes to the business. The door is locked, I was 10 min early so I waited. Well 11:36 approaches and the owners number is on the door so I sent a text just to make sure the owner got my reservation. Her response was: yes it was done correct, however she wasn't available until 2:30. She wasn't feeling well and forgot to block off the times until she was in. Smh. I hope she feels better soon but that's just not got business. I want to give my business to small business owners every time I can but was extremely let down by this experience. Since I'm in a lot of pain, I'll have to spend more money elsewhere, sigh.

Called and made an appt for 11am the next day. Upon arrival I requested a 1 hour massage and explained being sick and wanting a relaxing massage. The woman did a fantastic job. In addition to massage therapy, she did reflexology on my 14-year-old, and it helped to resolve some wider health problems she has.
