Having heard a few friends talk this place up and then finally trying it for myself, I was disappointed. The restaurant looked dated and didn't feel like an eatery, rather a waiting room. I ordered the 12pce of pork dumplings for starters and a Laksa Soup for main. The laksa came quite quickly, but the dumplings didn't arrive until I was about halfway through the soup. The soup was served in a large bowl and the serving size was quite generous, but with all that soup, I only had 4 small slices of tofu, about 5 small pieces of chicken and what only seemed like a small handful of noodles. The soup had quite a bit of heat, which fortunately was to my liking, but it lacked flavour. The pork dumplings had rubbery pastry and the filling was chalky with little flavour, resembling that of store bought frozen dumplings. However, the prices were fair at $9.90 for the soup and $8.90 for the dumplings. Yes, someone can say,'You get what you pay for,' but with only around 3 other customers in the restaurant at the time (can easily hold 50 or more patrons), you'd expect more thought and care be put into simple home style dishes. I really hope they can work on that. read more
