When I told her I wasn't completely happy with how it looked on me, she was so understanding and accommodating. She genuinely cared about whether I loved my hair, not just whether the color technically turned out well. She even came in ON HER DAY OFF to correct it and make sure I left with exactly what I wanted. What I appreciated most was how seriously she took both my happiness and the health of my hair. After already spending so much time on it the day before, she still took the time to make adjustments carefully without compromising my hair just to get a certain result. I never felt like I was being difficult or inconveniencing her she just wanted me to genuinely love my hair. A week before the appointment I confirmed the appointment online and via text directly to the stylist. She asked if i had any inspo pics and I said I would look for one before the appointment. The night before my appointment, after not hearing from Chloe for a week, i got a threatening message basically telling me that because i have been unresponsive to multiple attempts to connect, if i didn't respond immediately my appointment would be given to someone else who has requested that time. I want to be very clear that I never missed a text from her and sent her screen shots and asked her what messages i missed, to which she back tracked and started saying that she was just nervous because people cancel a lot. The stylist and/or salon never communicated that inspiration pics were a requirements of booking the appointment. The stylist never followed up post confirming the appointment, not once. The stylist was really unprofessional in the way she engaged me, and end of day I told her to go ahead and give the appointment to someone else, I'll spend my money at a professional establishment. Really disappointing given i've been waiting for this appointment.

I went in for a simple wash, cut and blow dry, and he did a really good job. The price was exactly as advertised, $49, and there were no surprises or upselling. He listened to what I wanted, especially my request about the length, and I felt very comfortable the whole time. I also appreciated that the appointment didn't take forever and there weren't a million questions. It was simple, straightforward and relaxing -- just a good haircut at a fair price. The salon is tucked away in a nice little strip mall in Poway and feels like one of those hidden neighborhood finds. And I happened to find out that tomorrow is the owner's birthday, so Happy Birthday! If you're looking for a good, uncomplicated haircut without all the fuss, Hair Palace is a gem. From the beginning she had a very rude demeanor and attitude since she saw me walking up to the store with 2 bags in my hand. (Sorry if my return bothers you). Before she scanned my QR code she didn't even say anything just looked at me with the scanner in her hand. If you work costumer services maybe it would be best to work with the costumer and inform them on the next step rather than giving them a blank stare and expect them to know your every move. I didn't get her name but she was wearing a striped sweater on 9/21/26 and this was approximately around 12:11. There was another costumer waiting to be checked out so I know someone got a receipt with her name. Overall the costumer services at this location is why I like to go there never had a rude experience. A lesson in costumer service is definitely something this individual needs. COMMUNICATE!
