I attended a Yelp Elite event here as a "plus one" and I'm glad to have had the opportunity to enjoy this unique café. Apologies for the late review, I have been making preparations for surgery but now that's over so I have a bit of recovery time to catch up. Also, please excuse me for not attempting the spelling of the items - pain medication making me lazy. What's not lazy is the quality of the food or the family who runs this place (and food trucks) - they've got it down. If you have had enough of expensive drive thru breakfasts or the traditional offerings elsewhere, you need to stop by here and enjoy something different at a reasonable cost. Located on Delaware Avenue in Kenmore, parking is not a problem either on Delaware or a very short walk from a side street. It's also an area where people simply enjoy a stroll and I'm confident that the warmer months will bring a lot of new customers and interest. We sampled the stroopwaffels (hey, I spelled it out despite my current laziness!) and fell in love with them. A perfect amount of exquisite caramel between the two waffles, which were firm and soft to bite at the same time, which gives a great mouth feel. Food textures matter. The caramel is not too sweet, not too thick, cooked perfectly and compliments the waffles in a way I didn't expect. Had to buy two more to take home. I ate one right away, saved the other for the next day and found it to be perfectly fresh and every bit as good after 24 hours. So bring some home yourself! I told Lorett how much I loved the caramel she made. She was so friendly and sweet and told us about the business, the preparation and any other questions we had. Just a terrific lady! She even remembered our names as we left and I'll tell you, little things like that mean a lot to customers these days. When you get a personal experience from a family that works well together, along with great menu items, it's a refreshing change from the usual. We also sampled the coffee, I had the Somalian blend and my friend had the Dimples house blend, both iced, both excellent. Then came the pancakes, which I promise I can pronounce but these I won't spell right now! First a sample of butter and powdered sugar and then the very popular Nutella with fresh strawberries. Can't pick a favorite here - loved them both. Many other toppings available. They also create egg bites using the same waffle iron machine. You can easily create a custom breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner with an order of each. Definitely check out the menu. Looking forward to stopping in again and wish this super nice, hardworking family the best of success in their new location.

Cutest entrepreneur I know. The smile alone makes the visiting worthwhile. Wish they were open more often. :D

It's a shame we haven't been here before but that's definitely going to change moving forward…read more Walking in to that beautiful restaurant we were greeted like we have been lifelong patrons of this establishment. That treatment carried on with the staff being so incredibly attentive and polite, our waiter may very well be the best I've had in a long time. He had our drink request in no time and shortly afterwards he was back for our meal requests. The misses wanted to try something outside the usual and ordered the eggs Benedict. While not her usual choice they were cooked perfectly and the portion was very generous. The little yelper ordered the usual chicken tenders, they were cooked to perfection as were the fries. They got a big thumbs up from her. I got the chicken souvlaki salad, a heaping bowl of fresh veggies , feta and grilled chicken (a very generous amount of it too I may add). I literally had 3 meals off of this today. The whole wheat pita and Tzatziki were some of the best I've had in a longtime. Im looking forward to coming back again soon to try more of their menu

Food is always consistently good, my go to is the open chicken souvlaki salad and the chicken is always seasoned well, loads of feta cheese and fresh lettuce. The steak and eggs breakfast is always good too. This place is always busy, the servers are great and everyone is nice. Parking is the only issue here, I park around the corner and enjoy a little walk, good to get those steps in especially after a meal anyway. Calling ahead is highly recommended. I like sitting in the indoor patio area to soak in some sun and watch people walking by.

Such cute decor, the music was chill R&B (which we loved) & so many different options!! Another comment for our server because she was the best. The only thing I didn't like is that they charge a 20% serving fee and the server told me she only gets apart of the 20% which didn't make any sense to me (coming from someone who's a server and gets the entire percentage of my service fee) but besides that everything was great!

We wait for the cream or milk... and wait... and wait. Finally she lets us know they don't have cream but she'll look for some milk. Turns out the only thing they have is heavy whipping cream. Then she leaves the coffee with us... so of course by the time we figure it out the coffee is cold. Cold coffee anyone? If you're open for brunch, how are you not prepared to serve coffee properly??? Especially with a supermarket across the street! SMH. The server (who was dealt a tough hand) offers to reheat the coffee. I accept. She brings it back and now the cup is so hot you can't even put your lips on it--clearly microwaved. You really can't make this stuff up! Food: Salty and honestly unappetizing, especially for $30+ per plate. The picture pretty much shows how much we enjoyed it... because most of it was left on the plate. 12% service charge is included in your bill and it goes straight to the restaurant. Weird! And that's not gratuity. SMH Bright side: The music was amazing. Done here.... I just want us to do better. SMH

But tonight we came in after 10pm for a show with a cover. We gave security our ID and they took our photos to enter. We couldn't enter without taking it. We asked what they did with it and the bouncer blew us off. Later when we left, we (kindly, not annoyingly) asked if they could delete our photos and were told "don't come back." Sandwich was ok, the bagel itself had good flavor but a tad over toasted. The French toast was ok. Just bread with a strawberry compote and powdered sugar .. nothing special about it. My guest had the steak and eggs and had to send it back because it wasn't cooked properly. They remade everything and the steak was still overcooked. Was supposed to be medium and it was more medium well. I tried a piece and the only flavor was from the char taste given from whatever grill they cooked it on. No seasoning at all! It wasnt good. Service was pleasant, but inattentive. The waitress was doing some of everything. One moment we saw her at the bar, next running downstairs. I was just about done with my meal before my guest could even tell her the steak was not cooked properly. In fact she didn't come over. My guest actually walked her plate to the bar for service, as she never came back to the table to ask if everything was ok. Ambience was good. We enjoyed live music during brunch which was nice. Slightly loud, but it didn't interfere too much with our conversation. We enjoyed it. I won't be back. Food was overrated. Service was lacking. Parking took 15minutes to find as the lot was packed and off street was hard to come by, but I'm glad we experienced it. I'm actually disappointed because it's been so highly rated, perhaps we ordered the wrong thing? Shouldn't matter though Overall, we had a great time together.

I feel like it has fine dining aspirations (and could totally nail it!) but just needs some small details to really reach it. Our food was great - perfectly cooked strip steak, chicken pot pie with the best buttery crust that I devoured and didn't leave feeling overly full. Crème brûlée that my husband said was one of the most flavorful custards he's ever had. Areas of improvement: the wall next to our table was all gouged up which, any other place I don't care (and it certainly didn't take away from the meal) but for a special occasion may be more noticeable. Olive tapenade was good but the baguette didn't seem fresh which is a shame being so close to so many great bakeries and the co-op. No small plates served with appetizer, no spoon with dessert, no steak knife with steak, bill wasn't accurate to order (I ordered a $37 item when I was told the pot pie was gone but they had another one left so I got what I wanted but CPP was $17 and the bill still had the more expensive item) NOW: these are such minor, minor things and I would hardly say took away from the meal meaningfully but for a Saturday night, just easy fixes to really elevate the experience. Bill was fixed quickly and all missing utensils appeared quickly, We'll be back for sure!

But that was a couple years ago so i didnt want to judge on when they first opened. The bartender was wonderful. It's a very comfortable place. The small but efficient winenlist was good. And we savored a couple glasses you cant just get anywhere. We enjoyed the evening a great deal which is why it hurts to say the food just wasnt there. The green sauce was very tasty. But the whole thing was cold. The fish was wayyyyy overcooked. The whole thing lacked seasoning. Like we had to ask for salt, which is usually a last resort for us. Lastly the "risotto"--it was dry af and I wouldn't call it a risotto at all. There was clearly technique and skill--the sear on the fish was perfect. But I just want to know of anyone tasted it. I think good things could happen here which is why im giving feedback. I'd be willing to try again
