While attending a Yelp Elite event at Dimples Café, I was able to sample their Traditional Poffertjes (Dutch mini pancakes), Nutella & Strawberries Poffertjes, and their fresh, handmade stroopwafel - A true smorgasbord! Upon leaving, I had to grab a stroopwafel to take home. The whole experience here though was great! For the Yelp Elite event, I arrived right around 6pm on a Tuesday. I saw plenty of street parking but I ended up parking about two blocks away in what appeared to be a city parking lot, near a bank, and made the short walk over as I'm not too familiar with Kenmore. Inside it is bright and clean with a large bar to sit at and where you can watch the poffertjes and other delights be made, as well as several tables and chairs throughout. I was struck by the bold blue and orange colors throughout the interior - I loved it! I'll tell you right now, their coffee is legit VERY good! Do yourself a favor and get yourself a cup of their cold brew and ask for the stroopwafel syrup, or better yet, get a Stroopwafel Latte! The Poffertjes are a delicious way to start your day but they also offer a variety of Egg Dimples if you want something with protein. Of course, you can order a combo of poffertjes and egg dimples to get the best of both worlds! I also saw they offer toast with different toppings as well as Greek yogurt, which you can add toppings to. As far as I can tell, Dimples Café has breakfast covered. For this review, I ordered their Oreo Stroopwafel. Stroopwafel is a Dutch treat consisting of two thin, crispy waffle cookies filled with a gooey caramel syrup, which Dimples handmakes fresh, in-house. The twist on this stroopwafel was half being dipped in chocolate and topped with Oreo cookie pieces. This was delicious! The caramel syrup paired with the chocolate and Oreo nicely. Do yourself a(nother) favor and grab one of their stroopwafel as you sip on one of their lattes, cold brews! Dimples Café is such a cute spot in Kenmore serving up a unique perspective on breakfast! I really enjoy how the business itself is 100% family run - The owner, Lyon Lascu, along with his wife, his mom, and his dad run it. They're incredibly courteous, friendly, such genuine people - If you can get a moment to talk to them, they're incredibly nice and passionate. I don't come up to Kenmore often but I know I want to come back soon and grab breakfast and satisfy my impending stroopwafel craving!

My wife and I took a walk with our 5 month old here for breakfast. The staff was friendly, the food came out quick and the space was very clean. We really enjoyed our pancakes and flavored coffees and we will be back!

Such a cute little spot! We took a walk here for breakfast and ordered the cinnamon, strawberry Nutella, and bacon gouda bites. Everything tasted so good. I also got a tiramisu latte which was delicious! My husband got the latte flight which he enjoyed. The food and drinks came out so fast and everyone was friendly here. This would be a great spot to bring your kids! There's plenty of seating inside and some seats outside as well. We got 2 flavored stroopwafels to go, so we can't wait to try them!

I had the traditional poffertjes. I loved that the pancakes were fluffy and light and how it wasn't a very heavy treat. Service was nice and the environment is comfortable.

Cutest entrepreneur I know. The smile alone makes the visiting worthwhile. Wish they were open more often. :D

Yum! Steamed soup dumplings. Soup, of course, and ramen. My order was taken by a very pleasant man…read moreat the counter. There is a small seating area. I think this place will be great for pickup & delivery. You can order the soup dumplings by themselves without soup, which is what I did and I took them home and cooked them in my own chicken soup base. They were smooth and delicious with a pork filliing.

Had lunch here today. Extensive menu for rice, noodles,…read moreramen, dumplings, soups... more. Five stars because everything we had tasted fine. I would have preferred steamed dumplings, but there was no choice, fried only. The taste was very nice and they were pleasantly crunchy. (photo) I loved the broth of the soup; it was plenty hot enough and perfect for cold and flu season. I would have liked broth only, and I asked if I could have without the rice noodles. Yes, I could, but the price would be the same. Okay, so I took the noodles on the side, to go. Even so, I was shocked to see the size of the soup bowl. It had to be at least a quart of soup, with chicken, wood ear mushrooms, bok choy, fried tofu. The rice noodles would have put the soup to the brim. Seems there is only one size of everything. If all of the soups are served in these quart bowls, plan on sharing with one or two others if ordering soup. They will give you extra bowls and spoons, as they did for us. Even with the two of us having some soup, I took about a third home. (photo) I had one of the Crispy Pies, scallion and pork. The filling was too thin or maybe the dough was too thick. Or a little of both. (photo) Employees are friendly and pleasant, eager to be helpful. JBC is a new and welcome addition to the Marshall's Plaza. Prices of some things may seem high, but if the foods we had today are typical, plan on sharing or taking some home.

Excellent service!…read more From the moment we walked in we were greeted and welcomed heartily. We were the only customers and literally had this place to ourselves the entire time. Made for a 5 star private dining type experience that although I appreciated, I couldn't quite understand as the food was magnificent. If you're looking for a great meal that won't leave you heavy and weighed down, this is it! I had the lasagna because I was told by the chef and the friendly waiter that it was fresh hand made pasta and didn't use ricotta cheese. A total winner for me (not a ricotta fan). It was delicious! Melted in my mouth. Buttery, velvet-like texture to the pasta makingit delightfully delicate. Nice balance of sauce and cheese. Meats had a great flavor. I didn't like I had to order a full appetizer size salad because they didnt offer side salads, but the salad was good as well. My birthday guest ordered the NY Strip steak of which I took a taste. It was FULL of flavor and cooked as ordered. Tender and everything you'd hope for in a steak entree. The mashed potatoes were another story. Lacked flavor and I don't care for the chunky mashed potatoes. I like my mashed thick, but creamy, buttery, and seasoned. I do not recommend them. This review is a 5 due to service and both main's being excellent. The chef honored the birthday boy with a complimentary homemade tiramasu that was airy, slightly sweet, great textures of crunch on top, moose in the middle, and spongyness on bottom. The fruit as garnish paired well, but as we shared the slice it made me wonder "if this is REAL, fresh made tiramasu, I have no idea what "tiramasu" I've been eating all these years." So good! I had no idea why this place was empty at 3pm on a Saturday, but my guess is they are new. Once the word is out I'm sure business will pick up. At least I hope, because I'd love to bring my son back to try so he can compare to his culinary experience in Italy. The restaurant itself was very clean...including the bathroom. My daiare wasn't fond of the hard wooden chairs. The ambiance is more bright, sophisticated modern than dark, tavern-esque as the name may suggest. Check them out and tell Chef Stephen I sent you

Arrived just after 6 pm and was asked about reservations despite a thin crowd. We were seated on…read morethe patio and after several minutes, served water by a staff member who admitted he was not our server for the evening. Christopher arrived, shared a very loud video to attempt to entice us to order the specials; however, several were not available. We had browsed the menu ahead of time and had our choices in mind. We also advised we were hoping to make the show at Revolver Records, if that wasn't too much of an issue for the kitchen staff. My companion ordered the salmon, broccoli, and rice while I ordered the smoked salmon tagliatelle. My companion was pleased with her entree even though her rice was a ridiculous amount of chunky skin-on potatoes and she was not informed that there was a menu change, while I was disappointed at the lack of salmon in the dish. A cute rosette on top with a few flakes scattered throughout does not make for a salmon dish. Christopher was friendly and helped my companion with a replacement napkin (from the waist band of his apron) when hers blew off her lap and onto the sidewalk. Finally, we waited quite some time for the bill, then for the bill to be processed. The reatrooms are gender neutral and adequately lit and stocked; however, patrons are required to climb a set of stairs to reach the restrooms. Other patrons that we conversed with during our meal were still on the patio when we left the jazz show next door and when we asked how dessert was, that we mught be coming back from "round two", they said not to bother because most of the desserts were out of stock. Convenient for our plans but sadly nothing special to write home about. If I were to return, I'd ask for the salmon & broccoli entree and confirm the starch was lemon rice per the menu.
