I had some Canadian Mapleleaf gold coins I wanted to sell. I got fast service and a fair price.

My family has been doing business with Dimo's for literally decades. I can not say enough good things about every one of them, they are like family. With every experience they have always gone above and beyond with helping us find what we were looking for and it wasn't available they offer to create it custom for you. I trust them with my purchases and repairs. You never feel rushed and they are so patient with you, which means a lot. Their selection is I believe the largest of anywhere I have ever seen. Check them out, you will not be disappointed. read more

This family jewelry business is absolutely wonderful to deal with! Everyone is so kind, honest, and helpful. We love working with Missy. Their jewelry designs are beautiful, and they have such a gorgeous selection to choose from. You can tell they truly care about their customers and take pride in their work. It's always a pleasure doing business with them -- highly recommend!!! read more

I own a Tag Heuer wristwatch that stopped working. I checked online for Tag certified watch repair services and found Dimo online, 50 miles away. I left it at Dimo for several weeks. In late July it was returned. They said they inspected it and did routine cleaning and maintenance including battery replacement for over $400. After a couple weeks, it was losing time. Within their 3 month warranty period, the functions could not be set and it quit working altogether. I returned it and a few weeks later it was returned to me in October. They told me it was repaired. When I noted the time was wrong, and they took it back to the watch repairman to set while I was in the store. He didn't bother to reset the language from German--to English. But today, two weeks after it was returned, it is flashing which indicates it needs a new battery which they claimed to have replaced in July--which is supposed to have a 2 year life. I have already had to travel over 200 miles (2 round trips) to their store at great inconvenience of time and costs. Now that I am faced with another 100 mile round trip to demand a new battery, I have lost all confidence in the quality of their watch repair service. This is unacceptable! So why did I give them 2 stars? Store staff members get one star for being pleasant, and another star for honoring their warranty. But I will never return for their repair service to "fix" my watch again. read more

Dimo's is a wonderful store. Family owned and operated, the people are lovely and incredibly helpful. I've had a number of custom pieces done and get many compliments on those designs. I can't recommend them enough. read more

Wow, what beautiful custom designs and friendly professional service. They helped design a custom Greek necklace and matched it with a Greek patterned ring. Strongly recommend this first class jeweler with unique designs you can't find at other area shops. read more

Very nice folks. A little pricey but worth it due to excellent customer service and great quality of work.

Absolutely wonderful watch selections! Beautiful store! Great variety of beautiful pieces. They had what I was looking for and sized it on the spot while I window shopped trying to not drool on the display cases. I was very happy with my experience here. read more

What a terrific experience! We wanted a diamond pendant with matching earrings, and I wanted it to be unique. Lucy asked questions and listened to what I like and don't like, and she showed me a beautiful setting. Lucy showed me the customizations she would make to the pendant and earrings to meet what I wanted. We just picked up the finished products, and wow!! They are gorgeous!!!!! The quality is exceptional. Working with Lucy was an amazing experience. She listens and is so knowledgeable about everything. I highly recommend Dimo Fine Jewelry for all your jewelry needs. Have been here several times to shop and also get Jewelery repaired. The staff was very knowledgeable and professional. The prices are a little high but worth if for the quality of the repair. First, let me say "THE INTERNET IS NO PLACE TO BUY FINE JEWELRY" ! Dimo Fine Jewelry stopped me from making a big mistake, thousands of dollars. THANK YOU, THANK YOU ! Then, they educated me on what I was trying to buy. The Dimo family treated my future fiancee and myself like one of their own family. The replacement engagement ring I purchased from them is far superior, much more beautiful and I have 100% confidence in the quality and value ! I have never done a Yelp review before but after my dealings with this family I was compelled to tell the world that there still is a business that treat you with respect, gives a good value for your dollar and will take the time to teach you about what you're buying. Best customer service. Most knowledgeable. Best selection of affordable and luxury brands. Amazing to work with for every day pieces and custom requests. Best and most elegant jewelry store I've ever shopped in. They make you feel valued and like family. They stand by their product. Highly recommend. Would give 10 stars if I could. read more

I Went in to get my broken chain fixed. The employee behind the counter immediately helped me and fixed my chain in under 20 minutes! I would absolutely recommend this store to anyone! read more

Dimo is by far the best store where I've ever purchased any jewelry. Jewelry is to die for and the customer service is the best. This is a family owned and run business. You will never find a better place to shop. Always a pleasure to just go in and look. But it's hard to walk out with a new gem. read more

I usually don't write reviews, but leaving this one because of the poor review by another customer regarding a watch battery. I too needed a battery for my watch and almost didn't go to Dimo because of that review. However, my experience was much different. I walked in and was immediately told that they could replace the battery. It took MAYBE 5 minutes and only cost $11! I will definitely go back read more

I came into the store to look for a necklace for my mother for her birthday. She's been coming to this jewelry store for many years, and she's been treated with the upmost care each and every time. After looking around for a few minutes, I decided to ask for a custom piece to try and replicate an old pendant that my father had given her that was lost in a house fire. They led me through every step of the process and my mother was deeply touched when she received the necklace. I absolutely recommend Dimo Fine Jewelry to get the most unique experience because my mom is special and deserves the best. read more

This jeweler is the real deal - they can fix anything including re-sizing a ring while you wait. I needed an heirloom diamond ring re-sized and two other jewelers wanted me to leave it with them for a week to do the same thing. Customer service is great. I have been very pleased every time I go into their store. They also have the largest and best selection of black pearls in northeast Georgia, too! read more

Had a bad experience after spending thousands. Called to enquire about service and the lady put phone down and i could hear her conversation with another lady where she refered to me with a derogatory name. Took my watch in a few days before Christmas for a battery. They told me it was a special battery and would take a week or two to get a price. I called back in mid January and they said they were still waiting on pricing. Called back on January 27th and they said they couldn't do the work in-house. I called the Mall of GA and the place there said they had the correct battery in stock and could replace it in 10 minutes for $35. Dimo's never called me once to give me updates. I picked up the watch and won't be back. read more

These people don't know what they are doing. They appraised a diamond ring for me and missed the carat size by .13 which hugely affects value. read more

I knew Dimo was there, but had never stopped in. After leaving Gainesville Jewelry VERY underwhelmed, I pulled into Dimo. I had a ring repaired and a ring resized. Both were done while I went to lunch. They did excellent work, and I found them to be knowledgeable and trustworthy. I'm drooling over a ring they have, and hope Santa finds out... read more

Absolute worst service I have ever received at a jewelry store. I brought my wife's wedding ring set that I've owned for 5 years in to be sized. We picked it up the following day and a chunk was missing out of a stone in the wedding band. They stated they were perfect and did not make mistakes in 40 years of service and that it is IMPOSSIBLE to chip a diamond. They called the police because they were losing customers while we were speaking to them about the situation and they wanted us to leave so they didn't lose more customers. My wife and I are now on a criminal trespassing list for them and I have NEVER had a criminal record. I am appalled to say the least. read more

Tried to scam me when selling scarp gold, BEWARE!

the first time i visited Dimos was when my mother took me to pick out a ring for my graduation. they are the most lovely family of jewelers gainesville has to offer. they helped me design a custom ring from the band to the stone. i returned again today with my grandfathers watch i wanted sized and a ring i needed polished. they completed my request within 30 minutes and while i waited i browsed their beautiful collections and engaged in enamoring conversation with the woman up front. i felt right at home and my items came back beautiful. i can't recommend them enough. read more

I received diamond earrings from Dimo as a gift about six years ago and never took them in for a cleaning until recently. They cleaned them for free, no questions asked. Looked around and they had a wide range of prices. Staff/owners were friendly and we talked about redesigning a ring, and they said they could do whatever I had in mind. read more
