We have been here several times. When you call they tell you up front that it is cash only and a minimum of 12 pints for $30 for delicious non-GMO organic blueberries! They give you a great reusable tote and 12 plastic one pint containers to package your blueberries as you go. Nothing gets crushed or damaged. What a deal. Parking is easy and close to where you are picking and farm is very clean and super easy to pick the blueberries! You can also buy blueberry bushes that are a good size with blueberries on them for $15. We've already bought 4 that are full of berries.

I ordered 15 three year old plants that were supposed to be 4' tall. "Due to covid" they shipped me a box of stems with all the foliage cut off. They will probably still grow but no warning was given prior to ordering. See attached pics for the box that arrived Edit 27April: They all survived and are beginning to send off sprouts. Added a star because they lived and look strong.

If the on-site experience is as bad as my web purchase, this place won't see another generation of business. Horribly undersized, overpriced plants were received and planted a year ago. Only six are still alive. No guarantees and no recourse as they only accept checks and apparently don't ship until after it clears, base on how long it took for my order to arrive. Heed the bad reviews. I did not. Don't waste your money or your time with these shysters. read more

**Beware** If I could give a zero, I would! I was visiting family in the area and we decided to explore while I was in town. I thought it would be fun to visit the farm. I wanted to call ahead to make sure they were open and I had a few questions. The arrogant jerk that picked up asked if I was 'partially retarded because he is not a Special ED teacher.' It's somewhat comical now, but at the time I was shocked by the way this disrespectful prick talked to me. Needless to say we will never patronize this creep's business and I wanted to spread the word about how they choose to operate their business and treat potential customers. They will NEVER get a dime from me. read more

Lady I talked with was nice, but then a male got on the phone and was a complete a hole. Had one question about an order and would not even let me finish my question. Then hung up. Called back after I left review and told me to take down review or he would sue. Then told me I will not receive my plants. read more

Don't do business with these bullies. I called DiMeo farms asking them if I could pick up the bushes I purchased, pay them their shipping charge, and just drive to them and pay for the shipping anyways. Amazing! That prompted a ten minute bullying session and lecture from them on how I should plan better, this was my fault and they never convert mail order to pickup. It's true the post office took about ten days to deliver my check to them, and now time for planting is short. They had a point. But the rudeness! Ladies, if you want to be bullied and bulldozed, do business with Dimeo Farms! read more

We drove to the farm Hoping to purchase a few blueberry plants to plant. Met with a very rude man who kept asking me how many I wanted. Wasn't even given a chance to look at the plants. He just kept asking how many we wanted. Very odd experience. Do not recommend. read more

Great picking experience. $20 cash got me 12 pints of quality blueberries. Employee was pleasant in directing guests. I pay more than $4-5 per pint or more at local markets. I'm psyched to make so many blueberry recipes. read more

Terrible customer service! I ordered 5, 4 ft tall, 3 year old blueberry bushes. The woman on the phone confirmed I would be getting 4 ft tall bushes. I received them today, they are 18 inch little plants. When I messaged them to confirm I got the correct order they were so rude and told me they advertise up to 4 ft tall bushes, and since I had them deliver there was no guarantee. I paid $40 for them to ship me 5 plants in a small box. I will never give my business to someone who is so rude again! read more

I ordered ten 3 year old blueberry bushes for $10.00 each to assure a productive crop for the 2022 season. I also paid $100 for shipping and handling of mature blueberry bushes 3 - 4 feet tall shipped in pots on a pallet. What I received are bushes barely 30 inches tall shipped in a 24 inch (branches bent) box with exposed roots wrapped in newspaper. There are not 3 year old bushes and paying $100 for shipping / handling for something that was delivered in a box is lying. By the way, this farm does not accept credit cards but instead request personal checks for payment. I have no recourse. read more

7 out of 10 plants died. I ordered in June and they didn't ship me my plants until late September. I expressed concern over the late delivery and having the plants die when planting them so late in the season, but they assured me we were still in the appropriate window for planting. Fast forward to spring finally, I'm excited to see if there is new growth. 7 look dead. I take pictures and email asking for some advice and a professional eye, I get no response. I call and speak to a manager named Lindsay who condescendingly starts reading a PREPARED STATEMENT instead of addressing my concerns. Definitely no refund headed my way and she refused to put anyone else on the phone. Please take your business elsewhere. Your business practices are unacceptable. read more

Horrible customer service! We bought what were supposed to be mature bushes, we were sent sticks. Most are dead. I have called and begged these lying cheats to make this right and they will not. We spent a lot of money on the 25 bushes we received, and the shipping was outrageous! We expected bushes in containers, yea we received dead 12" branches. Lying cheats is what they are! I'm going to the BBB and hope they will shut this crap hole down so they can't keep stealing from people! Avoid this company! read more

I drove from Washington Twp on a rainy Saturday afternoon for a 1:00 scheduled pickup. Pulled into the circular drive and picked up three blueberry and two raspberry bushes. The gentleman helped me load the plants into the car and we were back on the road in minutes. Detailed planting instructions were provided. The blueberry bushes are covered in soon to be fruit and the rasberries have sprouted. I couldn't be happier with the purchase. Well worth the ride. read more

I was in Ocean City with my family and had to return halfway through the week to run payroll and meet with a client. We already have a nice 8 plant blueberry patch, but it's mostly Chandler and they are now old in age. I figured, since I'll be driving near some of the world's greatest blueberry farms, that I would try to pick up some varieties that I love, namely Elizabeth, for a new patch. A quick Google of where to buy them brought up Dimeo, I clicked the website and it looked great. I did no further research.... I really should have done more research.... I called the number for Dimeo to ask about whether they sold Elizabeth. The woman was nice enough and said that yes they did. I said "Great, I'll come buy some!". She then answered that "it's by appointment only and you must buy 10 bushes".... Ok, weird, you have to buy 10? Their website makes it seem like it's great for families...but most people won't ever need 10 bushes. I thought about it for a second and figured, what the heck, 10 it is! I then scheduled to pick them up at 11. She also informed me that nothing is labeled, but I figured that this place clearly knows their blueberries and I trust in people enough to assume they won't lead me astray. On Wednesday, I left Ocean City with a buffer of time. I gave myself too much of a time buffer and arrived nearly 45 minutes early. Better early than late right? Since I was already there I figured I would just see if I could get them early, and if not, no biggie, I would come back later at the scheduled time. Upon pulling up, I see cones that I stop at and an employee waves me in. The employee was a really nice guy and I explained who I was, that I was very early and that if needed, I could just come back. He said no problem, showed me where to park and I got out to make the purchase. The bushes are there on the ground in neat rows so all looked fine and dandy. I said to the employee "so I was told I have to get 10 bushes, so I just need to know which are Elizabeth I guess and I give you this cash?", he said "oh no I can't, my boss has to come do that, I'll go get him". While I was waiting, I was admiring how nice the farm was, so I began to take a video to send to my wife. I was pretty excited at this point, the bushes are pretty nice, they had the varieties I wanted.....then I heard a commotion.... I turned to see "the boss" sprint walking out of his house and complaining how rude I was to come early, "I'm on important conference calls" he kept saying. I felt bad at first, but I did explain to the employee I would come back if needed... He continued to walk over to the blueberry plants while mumbling the same things about we schedule for a reason, I'm interrupting his conference call, I'm rude... This is one of those deer in the headlight moments for me, where something so surreal is happening that you sort of just watch and wait. I finally asked him if I was bothering him and if he would like me to leave. He said yes he wanted me to leave. I said "no problem" and started to walk back to my car to go. If things weren't already weird, things now get weird. He now followed me to my car repeatedly saying "it's not that your bothering me, I didn't say you were bothering me". He was there in my face as I pulled away. I could hear him repeating himself the entire drive back to the main road. So this should have been it, I left and that's the end of the story? Nope, then he texts me. In his text he claims that I came early "in a blatant attempt to try to provoke the farmer" and "it is very clear to us what you were doing and why the farmer was also recording". I wrote back asking him to review with the employee what I said about being early and then sent the video I had taken for my wife in which I say the farm is really beautiful. He never responded to it. Make sure you research this place thoroughly folks! The stories are far worse than my own. I feel so fortunate that I didn't bring my kids with me. I would have had to explain why the bad blueberry man was chasing after us. read more

Rude owner! We went to have a lovely day blueberry picking with our children, and what started out lovely ended with us not ever wanting to go back!! It's a shame, because it's a lovely place. As we were in the field a car horn went off, and all the mom's were trying to figure out if it was as our car. No blinking lights etc... I started to walk towards my car to see if it was mine. I just purchased the vehicle, and don't know all the ins and outs. I was told as I was approching my car, I need to fix it immediately or I'll have to leave. I went to my car. One of my children had left a window open and apparently the horn will go off if someone walks next to it while it's locked with a window open. I had no idea my car did this. I was approched by another man, and he said I need to leave. He'd pay me to leave, but I was disrupting " everyone" I am sorry, but no I wasn't! There are much better blueberry picking options! Go somewhere else!! Definitely not the way to treat a paying customer, who would have gladly came back, and told others. NOT NOW!! Stay Far Away from this place!! read more

STAY AWAY!!! DON'T GO HERE!!! STAY AWAY!!! DON'T GO HERE!!! WOW!....Should have read reviews before going here. Watched their website videos and thought I was dealing with a nice family operation as the videos lead you to believe. Couldn't wait to meet the guy who narrated them. Upon arrival witnessed abuse toward other customers and what amounted to a racial slur toward his worker that was going to assist in helping load our order. Called his other customers "morons" and "retards". Someone else was obviously confused on where to park and he went off on them to park on the grass and kept on them until they finally got it right... Wonder if this guy is the owner???? He told me where to park and then it all quickly fell apart. One door on my van doesn't open so that was a problem that was holding him up, I started to count the money out to pay for 100 plant order and he called me a "DOG" for counting it out on the wagon where my plants where sitting. I was stunned and didn't know aht to say then he told me that I was "cocky" and he was not selling me plants. Told him I just drove 7 hours to get there and he said I could drive 7 hours back home. He told me not to touch the plants as we are on video and if I do he'll call the police. Obviously I left. The office girl, maybe his wife(?) (poor girl) was just as bad at her job, not helpful at all seemed to be uninterested in any customer service and sure wasn't going out of her way to make it a pleasant transaction on the phone. Took more time to respond back to inquiries then it should have. The conversations I had with her were like pulling teeth, Painful! Claims to be a 4th generation blueberry farmer, wonder if his family ran it this way or did he figure out this marketing strategy himself??? Make sure to read the "Terms and conditions" sheet as they give you a hint as to what kind of operation this is. The plants were NOT as I was lead to believe on the website (much smaller than I was expecting) but it says so in the "T&C" sheet. Make sure to read this and you won't be excited to do business with them. As it turns out the best thing that happened to me yesterday was getting thrown out of Dimeo Blueberry Farms and my sale refused. Many people's reviews talked about low quality plants and abusive service. My experience was less than stellar with Dimeo Blueberry Farms. STAY AWAY!!! DON'T GO HERE!!! God bless you Mr. Dimeo.... read more

I don't know what is going on at this farm and how they are still in business. I have yet to receive my order, which I placed several weeks ago. I sent them my check, I've called a couple times and the person answering is rude and flatly states I will receive a courtesy call when they ship. I have received 2 phone calls from them stating due to a heat wave they are unable to ship but I would be getting a courtesy call when they do. I asked to cancel my order but they said they don't do cancellations. So, they have my money but I don't have my plants or any inkling when or if they will be shipped. I will never do business with this company again. I'm still waiting for a shipping courtesy call. read more

$1000 spent on Blueberry bushes. 50% DOA, all of them bent in half into two boxes and dry as a bone upon arrival. Those 'up to 3' tall' bushes I paid a premium for? Nope, barely 2'. All those 2 year plants? Nah, tiny things- already fruiting because they were dying. The initial order was delayed 2 months- weather, then orders, then weather- that's fine- and then a curt phone call after I requested cancelling it stating they'd already shipped on a weekend. I've emailed and called to no avail; they're not interested in responding. Be careful. read more

Had a great experience stumbling on these guys. Stumbled on them when we were out camping and about to run out of firewood. Driving around we saw signs with berries on it. Pulled in. Purchased a couple big bushes, bail of peat moss, and 5 firewood bundles at a nice self-serve camp firewood stand they have along entrance to main driveway. In about 30 seconds, two farmers pulled up in a white pick-up truck. They were personable and friendly, being that we arrived during their off-season and on a late Saturday afternoon just before closing time. We were the onlycustomers at first, until another car pulled in the driveway. Its like a drive-thru, where you pull in and they come out to load you with whatever plants you want to purchase. We still got to park our car and walk around the nursery. One of the farmers said we could take a walk back to the forest picnic areawhere they offer kayaking in the summertime. Both farmers were extremely generous with their time and very knowledgeable about how and when to plant. We have not planted our bushes yet, but they look in great condition. read more

I am not happy with the plants I ordered. They were advertised as 3 year old, 4 foot plants ready to produce fruit this year. I ordered 5 and was charged $40.00 for shipping which at the time I did not think was bad for that size plant.. LOL when the plants came they were a single stick no leaves and the shipping was $9.90..I have called several times and left messages for a return call but no one calls me back. Very Disappointed with the plants and the service. I would not recommend this place at all.... read more

**To add: they claim to be COVID friendly, but my husband had his mask on and the man was right near the window berating him with no mask and none of his workers had any either. ** We are a military family and were excited to drive the 2 hours to get blueberries for our home. The prices seemed affordable and we spent the whole week prepping for our appointment. I called and confirmed the day prior to ensure the order was in and the pick up time. The woman on the phone for customer service was very friendly, but the farmer is rude to put it nicely. I had my husband go to pick up blueberries. When he showed up, the farmer asked what he ordered and he said he was here to pick up the blueberry bushes we preordered. My husband called me to confirm how many bushes and I could hear the farmer asking if we wanted any other kinds of plants and we said no just blueberries, and the farmer was going on about how he didn't need the money and how $200 is lunch money to him. My husband told him we wanted the variety pack mentioned on their website for blueberries and the farmer started saying explaining how what we were saying didn't make sense. Not sure why there is a preorder and appointment requirement when there is no communication to the farmer and the plants aren't ready when you arrive. He decided we were being difficult, although he seemed way too proud and rude about how little our money meant to him and slammed our trunk and told my husband to leave. So he drove 2.5 hours to get berated by a rude farmer. I called customer service and the woman said that he does that sometimes and said he turns away customers regularly if he considers them difficult. Good for him for having money, we don't have a lot of money. We are a military family and were excited to add some blueberries to our home. I don't recommend this farm. They only take cash, don't communicate well between ordering and pick up and are not friendly upon arrival. read more

Stay away from this company!! I purchased bushes online from this company. They initially returned my calls the same day I left a message. Once they cashed my check the story changed. I called once a day for a week to find out about the status of my check/order without a return call. The following week began with an employee (not my usual contact so perhaps the owner) calling me and berating me at work for all my messages. He literally would not let me speak. He just kept repeating the same phrases like a 5 year old. 2 weeks later (which is today) my bushes arrived in horrible condition. I doubt any will survive the planting (and they are much tinier than advertised...the site says the 3 year olds can be up to 4 feet...the largest one I received was 6 inches...no way this is 3 years old!) BTW, the only positive reviews below are from employees of DiMeo Farms (shows you just how shady they are). Take a look at the images being used. They come directly from the DiMeo farms website! read more

Why support a place that treats customers as the enemy? Our local friend in NJ recommended this farm as their blueberry bush was doing quite well. After looking at the website, drove 3 hours from PA to look at the plants and buy 25 to start our 2 acre garden. On the website they clearly list their prices as $4.95 for 2 year old plants. After reading the website my wife called to set an appointment to pick up 25 blueberry bushes and a few others. They gave her a quote over the phone. Upon my arrival while I was impressed with the facility, the size of the plants left much to be desired, they simply did not feel "2 years old" and ready to produce next year. In either case, they were supposed to be quality plants and why not, right? ...And THEN the issues started. The total I was quoted was NOT their advertised prices and in fact $1 more for each blueberry plant. No, it's not about the $25, but rather "can someone tell me the difference between the price you are asking and the price advertised on your website which you know we looked at?" The person loading the plants was a hispanic worker who did not speak English, but was not surprised to see another "customer service issue" with this place. He phoned the owner and said "customer." As soon as I was handed the phone I was on the receiving end of the WORST owner attitude I have ever experienced (in my extensive experience both as a business owner and managing retail.) While most civilized people, or even business owners who HATE customers but value business would at least ask "Hello, how may I help you?" Before I could even get a word in, I was on a tirade of "I personally picked those plants and there are no issues.... let me transfer you to someone else." When I asked the other lady why my numbers were not adding up,..."That's the price she agreed to (my wife) and that is what happens when I speak with the wife and her husband comes to pick them up." I once again asked... "Why did you charge more than your own advertised prices?" "Because we can, there are fees, and it is listed in the terms and conditions." Yes, I actually read the terms and conditions which were written in an unprofessional manner by someone with a grudge, where it does say, they can change prices at any time for any reason. Yes, my wife made the mistake of believing this business would honor their own advertised prices and WOULD NOT UPCHARGE HOPING YOU ARE TOO STUPID TO DO THE MATH YOURSELF. I once again asked... "How do you justify overcharging 20% over your own advertised prices?" "Well there are fees and stuff." "Such as?" "You are getting pots with the plants, and then there is fertilizer." "So ordinarily you do not get that?" No response... "Look, I drove 3 hours here, I am just asking you to honor your advertised prices, I am not looking for a discount here." "Read the terms and conditions." And on that note I thanked her, hung up the phone and drove away. At this point she managed to call my wife twice, in the middle of class to scold her on "miscommunication." Bottom line, these may be the best damn blueberries in the world, but why support an organization and two people who have ZERO RESPECT FOR YOU AND TELL YOU! People like to make fun of Walmart and their "lack of customer service," at DiMeo Farms, you are an unwanted pest from whom they must extract as much money as they can and God forbid you disagree with them. Bottom line, fail to honor advertised prices, outright hostility to the customer BEFORE you even have a chance to say anything. Furthermore, I did not seem to see a receipt there, sales are cash only and I did not see sales tax (if any accounted for). There is no return policy and I highly doubt plants are as old as they say they are. If you read the terms and conditions you also see that the blueberries are NOT certified organic, yet their website says they are? With such blatant hostility and documented "say one thing, do another" experience, what else are they stretching? When the company has so many 1 star reviews, you have to look! Take a look at the horrible reviews on Google, Davesgarden and other sites. BBB also has an issue with misleading/false advertising on their website (along with tons of unanswered complaints!). read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE Called Dimeo Blueberry Farm, spoke with Tanaya, worst customer service I've ever had. Tried to get more information about the plants they were selling....wanted to order 30 plants blueberry, raspberry, etc. After, calling for a week she finally got back with me and was very rude. Tried to get more information she kept cutting me off in a condescending way. Finally I asked her if her plants would grow in CA because she was in NJ. She said "NO" and hung up the phone. Based on what I experienced with this company I would not recommend other businesses, family, or friends to buy from this company. From now on, I will make sure to let everyone know not to buy from this company. I own a business and customer service is the most important thing in dealing with the public. read more

I've been meaning to write this for a while, trying to get a lot done before 2017.... Took a ride down with my parents a couple years ago to go berry picking and it was such a great time!! The farm is really beautiful and everyone was very nice, friendly, and helpful. We picked berries along the forest. They really do have an amazing operation, that is very neat, clean, and as pretty as the pictures! One of the farmers even took us on a tour of their nursery, which was loaded with gorgeous plants and even has a space for private parties/weddings etc! My mom and dad especially enjoyed the trip and we will be back! Great memories. :) read more

Would leave zero stars if I could. What a mess. Saw their ad on Facebook, and their blueberry bushes seemed like the perfect gift for my relative who loves blueberries and loves to garden. Perfect, right? $10 a piece for their large 3 year old mature blueberry bushes, ready to fruit this summer. There's a minimum of 5 plants. With delivery, it comes out around $85. But it sounds like the perfect gift so why not. What we received were not the large 3 year old mature bushes they advertise online. There are photos and videos on their website. Instead, we got 5 10" saplings that are absolutely in no way 3 years old, mature or ready to fruit this summer. Thinking it was an innocent shipping mistake and that they sent their cheaper small or medium size plants I called up. Girl who answers the phone is completely unfazed by my concern and seems to be following a script. No apology. Repeatedly tells me they don't guarantee size. Tries to tell me these plants will fruit this summer. After 15 minutes on. R phone it became clear to me that I got scammed. They absolutely do not care about customer satisfaction, or the fact that they are false advertising. Told me over and over again that they have proof that they shipped me plants so the transaction is done and over with. Rude, uncaring and dishonest. So much for supporting a "small family farm." Eff these guys, take your business literally anywhere else. read more

Coming here with the kids has become a yearly tradition. These are by far the best-tasting blueberries we've ever had, particularly the "russell" (I think?) variety. They're small, so it takes longer to fill the 12 pints, but incredibly flavorful. The blueberry picking itself is a great deal as well, at 1.66 a pint for organic, heirloom berries. We've never made an appointment, always showed up and started picking. The owner was very attentive to us, asked us before we'd left if we'd gotten to enjoy the picnic area and what we thought of the berries. I've never bought plants from here and have no intention to, but we will be continuing this "family tradition" - it's one of the highlights of our year :) read more

My experience with them has been nothing but perfect. My bushes are in the ground and doing great. I have no doubt that if I called the company with a problem I would receive nothing more than excellent customer service BUT I have a feeling I won't have any problem that would concern the great bushes I received. Here's the story. Ok, so I find this company that sells plants online. I call them up and one of the farmers answers the phone. He talks to me for nearly 30 minutes about the bushes I want to order and the best way to plant them in my garden. I place the order for 10 bushes. I prepare my soil the way the farmer suggested I should. It was very easy. Over the next week I called to check on status. They respond to every call within 24 hours. Then I received the shipment. The packaging is done very well. When I opened the boxes the plants were strong, tall and pruned to perfection AND they are just perfect. The one thing I could suggest to improve the customer experience would be an online payment system. Right now they don't have one. They are very old school, which I actually kinda like in a way cause I don't like giving out my credit card information to just anyone. They also do not accept credit cards so you need to send a check or money order to complete your order. This was a bit cumbersome for me as I am an online type of person, but it was worth it and not enough of an issue to stop me from talking my friends and family into buying from this incredible plant source! Thanks to the farmers and staff for being a solid and customer centric company. read more

Buyers beware!!! Read all the other reviews and believe them. The same bait and switch and hiked up shipping cost just happened to me and unfortunately I didn't read up on the reviews before purchasing the plants. Do your research and due diligence before buying from this place. Horrible customer service!!! I was charged 80$ for a 14$ shipping charge and all I received was a box of sticks. Loved going there every year until this year when the owner who collects the money was a complete a-hole. Unprofessional and not customer service oriented. Made appointment to pick up 10 blueberry bushes. Drove 45 minutes to the farm and followed the explicit directions of where and how to park. Blew car horn three times as instructed and was met by the rudest and most condescending man I've ever come across. I should have gotten back in my car and fled the place but my good nature wouldn't let me be mean in return. Unloaded the car but haven't planted the bushes yet. As background, I work full time and I am also a graduate student. I own my own home and have two very large puppies - so I am extremely busy. When I choose to make leisure plans for myself, and consider spending three hours+ of drive time over my precious weekend hours, it has to be for someplace very special. I had been receiving sponsored ads for DiMeo Blueberry Farms on Facebook. As a new homeowner, I wanted to decorate my home with fruit plants, and from the comments of people on their Facebook page, they seemed to sell quality plants, on a beautiful property, with a parking lot, and helpful people all around to answer any questions that I may have about growing blueberries. It never occurred to me that I needed to check any other sources for reviews of this farm/nursery, as I generally rely on Facebook as a resource for good and bad information about a business. Going forward, I will also be checking Yelp. Armed with this information, I decided to drive 1.5 hours to DiMeo Blueberry Farms, in Hammonton, NJ on the morning of June 2nd, 2018. When I arrived, there was not a parking lot. There was a paved driveway. I asked an employee where to park. He told me where to park between two orange cones. There was another vehicle that was trying to park at the same time, a dark-colored pick up truck. We were both trying to navigate this driveway that was only wide enough for one vehicle. A man, identified as the owner by the employee, came out of the house screaming "You're going to let her park on my $30,000 lawn?" at the employee. I was still in my vehicle but I started to become uncomfortable as the man continued to walk towards me and the employee. The owner came over to my car, the door was cracked as I was preparing to leave my car to look at the plants, and he asked "what are you doing here?". I told him that I was there to buy some blueberry plants and I asked him if there was a parking lot. He said, "Well, don't you see the blueberry plants next to you?" I informed him how far I had driven (1.5 hours) to buy the plants and asked him if I could get out of the car and see them (I'm a fairly experienced gardener and I don't buy a plant without examining it to make sure that it is healthy). The owner pointed to the plants and said, "The plants are right here. They have fruit on them. You're playing dumb with me. Ma'am you're playing dumb with me. You're playing dumb with me." (He said it 3 times). Then he asked what I had in my hand and pointed to my cell phone. I said "It's my cell phone and it's not on." I turned on the screen to demonstrate that there was nothing running. He then said, "Ma'am, you have to go. Just leave. Go to the gate and leave." Then he started to walk away from my car and told his employee to come with him. I sat in disbelieve for about thirty seconds before driving along the U to the gate at the end of the driveway to leave. I thought, since I had some so far, that I should try to buy the plants anyway. My plan was to pull back up to the gate, give him a winning smile, and explain that maybe we had gotten off on the wrong foot and could we start over. When I drove back into the driveway, the owner was not there. The employee was there. When I asked him about the owner the employee said "He's crazy. I don't know what to tell you." I asked if they took credit cards. The employee said, "No. Cash only." At that point, I decided against making the purchase and I left. I drove away so quickly and I was so shaken from my experience with the owner that I drove in the wrong direction, but I assumed that I had somehow messed up - drove to the wrong place, was on someone's private property, not DiMeo Blueberry Farms - so I called the phone number for the business that I found on Facebook. A woman answered the phone. I explained everything that happened. The woman listened and indicated that she wasn't sure who the man was that treated me that way. She would not confirm that he was the owner. She merely apologized for "the mixup". (She obviously knew who he was and was covering up for his well known behavior - see Prior Reviews). I was in tears over this experience. I have never, ever been treated like this at a business before. Consider this review a warning to anyone looking to do business with DiMeo Farms. Appalled at owner's behavior. We had a good experience picking blueberries and having lunch by the creek until we were getting in the car to leave. We noticed a man from the main house yelling at a quiet young woman using very degrading language - just as the other reviewers had mentioned. I almost never bother with writing reviews but I could not let this one go. We won't be going back. read more

Just don't go here. Ever. Think of the worst shopping experience you ever had and then combine it with a swarm of angry hornets, getting a tooth pulled, food poisoning and being bullied by a hostile crowd. That's how much fun this was. Zero stars. Appallingly rude - the guy came out literally screaming immediately that retail was wasting his time. The website that talks about advice was completely misleading. He didn't even want to be bothered to sell the plants to us. Very obsessed with 'cash only'. I wish I had taken a video of his rantings. It's truly hard to describe how bad it was. Three years later, I still have horrible memories of this place. The blueberry plants we bought are straggly and have barely grown. read more

Wow looks like I'm not the only one...I was going give the man on the phone the benefit of the doubt and chalk it up to a busy day, but after reading the other reviews it sounds like I caught him on a good day. I had a whole review planned in my head that started with how I grew up in a family business and I know customer service, blah blah, blah.... But the bottom line is the man who answers the phone repeatedly exploding "are you coming here now?" needs a few lessons in customer service or a few smacks, reader can decide. His arrogance spewed through the phone as he made assumptions about my level of intelligence and ability to remember his pricing and instructions on how to order blueberry plants using his archaic system of mailing checks from buyer to seller. Seriously your website looks like its straight out of the movie 1994 cult classic, "The Net". It can easily accept online orders for and investment of $250. You might want to think about it. As a man in online marketing, born from customer service, I can tell you that; you will need to evolve on all fronts or you will be consumed by your competition. Your competition has the know how to provide an equal quality product, more efficiently and with a smile. Reciting each reason why I now despise DiMeo Farms is quite pointless, as one would have to live through an interaction with this man in order to fully experience the disbelief that you will ultimately obtain toward the existence of this guys business. You might call me a hypocrite as I'm making assumptions about this man, however logical reasoning points to it being this guys business, as if he were an employee and acted this way he would have been long removed from this company...unless he's the owners son, which would explain his ability to maintain his employment status. I know it's probably not fair to discredit then entire family business, but it's hard not to feel that way... see paragraph above. I'm not going to speak badly about your product as I wasn't able to order them with out a clear conscience, only about the customer service and attitude. Being from NJ, It's really unfortunate, as I wanted to patronize another local business...I was looking forward to it. I'm a big believer in karma, it's the main reason why I didn't lash out and lay into this guy...it's why I gave him the benefit of the doubt only to learn it wasn't a bad day, it's everyday for this man. It makes me sad, I feel for your family, it must be hard on them, I know I'd want to help you be better if I were them. Let me know if you're interested in one on one customer service coaching, I feel like I could help. If not that's ok too because I know one day that the karma police will catch you and rub your face in a big hot steamy pile of customer service...and the universe will be right again. I'll be sure to call and follow up to make sure you read this review. Have an A1 Day! read more

we purchased 100 "1 year old plants" and 5 "3 year old plants" that were described on the website as 4 ft tall. We were charged over $100 for shipping when in fact actual shipping was $11. We received plants that varied wildly in size; none were "1 year old plants" as other farmers have seen. the "3 year old , 4 ft tall plants" were not 4 ft tall, but varied from 12" to 24" at most. one was dead on arrival, shriveled and small, while the others were alive. none of the plants were marked as to which were which. I ordered 1/3 early , 1/3 mid and 1/3 late producing plants. Who knows which was which? I emailed and left 2 messages and my calls and email were not returned. See the business' BBB profile- they are an "F". read more

I felt like I was in the Seinfeld soup nazi episode. The owner is rude, obnoxious and belligerent. I could go on, but just check those three adjectives in a thesaurus and you'll get the full picture. If you're in the mood to be mistreated, just go to DiMeo farms and ask to speak with the owner. You'll get your fair share of abuse. read more

I am appalled this nursery is still in business. I have never received such horrible customer service. Shame on me for not doing my due diligence and researching their customer feedback. In an effort to teach my children about organic gardening, I ordered five, 3-yr old bushes. I received four. The bushes I received were between 18 and 24" tall and the kind receptionist let me know they should be 3-4 feet tall. So, my issues were twofold and I sent an email inquiry. In my email, I assumed they possibly sent me someone elses package - no harm, I just needed another bush. I received a phone call where I was so berated by a man that I had to pull over so as not to alarm my children. He was screaming. Sounds dramatic? That's ironically what he was accusing me of being. I was instantly labeled a dramatic liar. For someone to question my integrity in that way, requires a warning to all who consider buying from this farm. It got worse from there but I don't think it merits repeating. I should have seen these other reviews, questioned the cash-only/no receipt policy, and looked at the BBB site (http://www.bbb.org/new-jersey/business-reviews/farms/dimeo-farms-in-hammonton-nj-90078416). Also, to note the owner lives in Philly, not NJ. (thank you Facebook) He is not the poor farmer he'd like you to believe. In the end, find another local farmer to support. There are plenty out there who will appreciate the business. read more

This has to be the absolute worst farm, business, and individual in all of New Jersey and probably the entire east cost of the US. They called about delivering bare root plants 5 months after they were paid for and I happened to be in a bad cell area and after that it was nothing but insults about getting better cell service and not my plants that I never got. His excuse for not sending is evidently he also never shipped to another individual 50 miles form me, according to him "he is a computer genius" and tracked a ISP on a post on a comment site and accused me of making it. He is a real piece of work. I am convinced he was either out of plants or never intended to ship the plants in the first place and was looking for a excuse to not send them. In closing, don't bother to contact the Better Business Bureau, I think they have a form letter telling customers there is nothing they can do with individual and business. One can only hope the money he is stealing from people will catch up with him in a IRS audit or bankruptcy court. read more

I find it hard to believe there are actually any satisfied customers from this company. Not only based on my personal experience but also after reading so many negative comments. Reading the negative comments written here in regards to doing business with DiMeo Farms is like reliving the horrible experience over and over again. There's no doubt the man I spoke with has a serious problem and enjoys abusing customers. It is obvious there is a mental condition of some sort going on. Or he thoroughly receives pleasure from being down right mean. Most consumers take for granted they can ask a normal question in regards to the items they choose to purchase. You know, such as how much it will cost to ship X number of plants, or the age or type of plant you are looking to purchase. Well, do not expect anything to be normal when trying to do business with DiMeo Farms. The man running this operation is CRAZY! There must be some type of mental illness going on. I am sure this company has made a dump truck load of money from doing business for many years. And they may actually prefer large orders over smaller ones. I can see where that would be more worth their time. However, they do not advertise minimum orders or that they only wholesale to the industry. DiMeo Farms markets their products as a "family run, open and friendly operation. Based on the comments listed here and my own personal experience, I venture to say; that everyone involved with this operation is living on "pins and needles" working with this obviously unstable man. This man has no control over his behavior. He's rude beyond words. He's condescending, cruel, racist, overbearing, dictating, and narcissistic. It's actually scary to have a conversation with this person. I think most people are in shock when he begins yelling and accusing them of wasting his time. He's got better things to do than answer any questions, and further more he's so wealthy he really doesn't want your money. He told me he prefers at least a $2,500 order. This may be his true feelings, but he can't stop himself from throwing that out there immediately. His demeanor is so intimidating and condescending; you can't even have a conversation with him. And he enjoys listening to himself so much; he prefers to give a lengthy lecture about anything other than actually completing the transaction you're attempting. I'm starting a small pick your own farm and needed 280 - 3 year plants. (Such as those seen on their website) It wasn't easy or comfortable to get a written quote however; someone actually sent me an invoice via email the next day. The shipping costs were almost $2000 for 280 plants. This seemed high, so I had plans to rent a truck and make the trip myself. No problem. My farm project was scheduled to begin later in the year so I decided to purchase 15 - 3 year old plants sooner. I made these plans with a woman over the phone before I ever spoke with this horrible over bearing man. No one mentioned any problem with this transaction. So, I mailed $150 to DiMeo Farms, and after the checks cleared and I was ready to receive my 15 plants. I called to ask what the shipping would be for the 15 plants, and spoke with the rudest human being on the planet. Needless to say he was beside himself because I dared to send $150 without the shipping costs already included. Trust me, I surely wish I hadn't. I wish I had never heard of DiMeo Farms much less sent money or made plans to start my farm using their products. I doubt I will ever see my $150 again. I doubt I will receive any plants. And if he does send any plants I doubt they will be the beautiful 3' to 4' healthy plants I saw on the website. I'm torn as to what to do. I can try writing them via email and request my money back or allow me to pay for shipping. It doesn't look good no matter what I do. Spending more is not a good idea. I wish I had read the negative comments before I fell into the DiMeo trap. Their website is very attractive and fills your eyes with beautiful dreams of growing your own blueberries. Perhaps the person who started DiMeo Farms many years ago enjoyed farming. I don't know. However, the person running it now is a BAD person. He's either sick, mentally ill or he is just the devil himself. He hates what he does and finds pleasure in upsetting others, and causing their lives to be completely disrupted. Doing business with this man is almost guaranteed to be one experience you'll never forget. There are lots of honest people growing and selling blueberries out there. I was mesmerized by their website and by passed others to get to the blueberries grown in New Jersey. I am impressed mostly by the power this company has achieved using you tube videos. All I can say it is NOT what you think it will be. I feel sorry for people working on this farm. I'd recommend looking for another source for your blueberry plants and do not let their self promoting website and videos blind you. read more

BLUEBERRY NAZI!!!! I have never in my life had such a horrible experience than at DiMeo Farm. I scheduled to pickup 10 blueberry plants and drove 2 hours one way to pick them up. I called the farmer after I got there to ask him about his blueberries and first he notified me that he was recording our conversation, that he could see me sitting in my truck, and that I was being videotaped. The he proceeded to yell at me for asking what varieties of blueberries he had and why he only sells 3 varieties when his website advertises much more than 3. Then he accused me of setting him up, that I was not a real customer, he accused me of trying to "trap him" in a setup. I was speechless. He told me to keep my money and leave. Oh, and he yells at you from his window in his "bunker". What farmer doesn't want to meet his customers!? And he will call the cops on you. But don't worry, the cops found the whole thing amusing, and apparently this is a common occurrence at the DiMeo Farm. I just wish I had heeded all the negative reviews and not given them the benefit of the doubt. So, please, heed my warning, DO NOT waste your time or money. You will not find DiMeo Farms on any reputable farming review sites like www.jerseyfresh.nj.gov, or www.localharvest.org because he IS NOT A REPUTABLE FARMER!! After my experience I learned that Anthony DiMeo III (ADIII) is the current "farmer". This blueberry farm has been in his family for 3 or 4 generations. Judging by the photos and information I have gathered on this "farmer", my understanding is this: His father and grandfather and great grandfather worked very hard in building a very nice blueberry farm in Hammondton, NJ for many many years. It was successful and well run. Probably most if not all of the photos on the website are from when the farm was run by the farmers preceeding ADIII. At some point the farm was then turned over to ADIII. However, ADIII really had no interest in becoming a blueberry farmer. He was more interested in being "famous" and having/inheriting a lot of money. He is your model spoiled child. He was willing to ride on the coattails of his forefathers success and bastardize it for his own selfish ambitions. He is the epitome of narcissism. The YouTube videos you see of him are a feeble attempt at acting. The pictures you see of him (the few that you can find) in and around the DiMeo Farm show a person utterly disinterested in farming. I have met many farmers and you can tell when a person loves what they do and take pride in what they do. There are articles and news stories about him being a complete social failure. He is like a toddler throwing a tantrum when he doesn't get his way. So, with DiMeo Farms left in the hands of ADIII, the farm is failing slowly but surely. It is a very sad state of affairs, after all the hard work the farmers before ADIII put into it. He is a disgrace to his family name. The website is a SCAM to lure people to his farm or to purchase his plants over the internet. You MUST pay CASH if you are picking up or by check if you are purchasing online/shipping. He will not give you a receipt. There is no paper trail, that is exactly how he wants it. He doesn't know squat about blueberries. The website is full of information about blueberries, but don't ask him any questions. You will be told that you are too stupid to grow blueberries if you have to ask "so many" questions. Have you ever met a farmer that doesn't want to talk the afternoon away about what he grows and how he grows his produce? Well, you will if you ask ADIII one question about his blueberries. The fact is he doesn't tolerate being questioned about anything because if you ask him a question he has to demonstrate knowledge of which he has NONE. He will become belligerent and hostile. He will make wild accusations to somehow justify his outrageous behavior. Then he will tell you to leave. This is a classic narcissist. He has no problem telling customers that he makes more than 3 million dollars a year and he doesn't need their money. He will accuse you of videotaping him if he sees a phone in your hand and freak out on you and tell you to leave. I can not make this stuff up. These are actual experiences that I and others have had with ADIII at DiMeo Farms. ADIII is not a farmer. He is a scammer. He wants your money and he wants you to give it to him without question. Blueberry Hell - Don't Go There Not the Blueberry Hill of Fats Domino. You won't find your thrill at Dimeo's Blueberry Farm - unless you like being abused. You think Seinfeld's Soup Nazi is bad? He's a creme puff next to the man in charge the day we went there. Well, after doing some research on customer satisfaction, it seems we've joined the ranks of blueberry enthusiasts who were drawn in by the Dimeo website and youtube videos, only to be verbally assaulted and driven away, stunned and reeling in a state of utter disbelief over the entire experience of visiting the Dimeo farm. I don't even know where to begin in describing the horrible treatment we received. We being: me, 70 yrs old, my 72 yr old husband, our 50 year old organic/wholefood nutrition counselor daughter and her 21 yr old daughter, an avid ecologist and agriculturalist, recently graduated from Green Mountain College in Vermont. We were so happy to be taking the 1.5 hour drive to Hammonton, NJ to buy 6 "organic, 4 foot, quarter sized blueberry bushes" and had no idea that we would soon be entering the bizarre world of an aggressive, narcissistic, psycho who scoffed at us when we dared to call him on his scary behavior. It began as soon as we pulled up and parked. There was no designated parking lot so my husband parked in front of a large garage-like building with 3 bays, all open. It was dark in there, but we could see what appeared to be a group of farm workers standing around a large table. Within seconds a man wearing a camouflage cap and a white T-shirt emerged with an angry expression and his hands held up like a traffic cop. My husband stepped out of the truck to introduce himself and my daughter was on her way around the truck to do the same. The man, we later learned, was the grandson of the owner. We were still in our collective happy and excited frame of mind. I and my granddaughter were about to get out of the back seat of the truck when this man, with the demeanor of a guerrilla commando, ordered us to "Stop! Everybody get back in the truck!" When my husband tried to explain that we had an appointment the commando said in a mocking tone, "yeah, yeah, yeah" and then, "Just follow me. I'm going to walk in front of your truck and you're going to follow me." We did what we were told, looking at each other in disbelief as if we had somehow been hurled into the twilight zone. We only drove a short distance when "the man" signaled us to stop. My husband got out. I opened my door in the back seat of the truck and said "This seems more like a military compound than a blueberry farm." He glared at me. It gave me the creeps. He then started asking us what variety we wanted and rapidly recited a list of varieties too quickly for us to comprehend. He handed my husband a sheet of paper with a business card attached which my husband placed on the front seat. We told him we wanted 6 of the 4 quarter-sized plants that would give us fruit all summer - that's what the website said we would get for $10.00 per bush. You should know that all of this time the man's expression was one of anger and disgust, his attitude was extremely condescending and his mannerisms intimidating. We thought we would at least be able to pick out our own plants, but even that small pleasure was denied us. The man picked out six scrawny potted plants and asked us brusquely "Where do you want them?" We laughed. Did he think we were going to drive home holding them in our laps? I reminded him that his website said we would be instructed on the best way to plant and care for the bushes. He sneered at that and said "The time I spent doing that I could be on the phone making $25,000.00." My daughter said, "So much for customer service." His face went tight and got uglier and in a tone dripping sarcasm he said "Sorry I can't give you more of myself." She said, "Oh, that's okay. I think we've had enough of you already." At that he said "Get of here. And to my husband, "Give me my paper back and get off my property." My husband reached into the truck, crumpled up the paper and threw it at him. That's when this psycho pulled out his cell phone and took a picture of our license plate. As we drove away (without purchasing any blueberry bushes) my granddaughter said "I had less trouble getting through check points in Mexico. Something's not quite right about this place. There's a piece missing from this puzzle." read more

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! DON'T DO IT! RESIST THE TEMPTATION AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! Here are few reasons and red flags that I wish I haven't ignored: 1. You have to call in to make an order over the phone and it's the only way take orders. (Which business in 2018 still has no online ordering available? Bad one.) The problem with this system is that the order is through a word of mouth and you cannot prove what you ordered or didn't order. 2. The only way you can pay is with a check. The only way for your order to be processed is for them to receive your check and cash it first. So if you have any issues, you're not getting your money back. (So pray, do a moment of silence, a sun dance or whatever you do to make sure that you have no issues because you're NOT GETTING YOUR MONEY BACK! Yes, I put in big letters so that you're warned). 3. Their way of communication is inefficient and inconvenient. You have to call until someone finally finds some time to pick up (thanks for doing me a favor and picking up since you know, I'm only a customer). I called 3 times and left a message and no one called back. Finally on trial number 4, a lady picked up. ( In retrospect, I don't know why I tried so hard to spend my hard earn money here. Be smarter than me and go somewhere else!) 4. Their "customer service" is TERRIBLE, INCOMPETENT, and PSYCHO. This brings me to the people who run this place. The lady who I've spoken on the phone doesn't know what she is talking about and just tells you what you want to hear until they cash your check. ( Sidenote: Yes, they only take checks and yes, you read that right. And yes, I was that dumb to send in the check, which they have cashed within 3 days of receiving it.) 5. THE PSYCHO MAN. If you dealt with him, you know what I'm talking about and there is no explanation needed. However if you haven't, I'm going to try my best to explain in words what a crazy, mentally deranged, insane, lunatic, unbalanced, irrational, and just batshit crazy person he is. ( I hope that's enough adjectives to paint a picture. ) When you talk to him, actually it's just him SCREAMING over you and not allowing you to speak and that him after I just asked a question. So when I had an issue with my order, needless to say, all hell broke loose. When I called with an issue, as another reviewer described it so well as the man of " 50 shades of crazy" completely lost it. I had an issue with shipping time and the "50 shades of crazy man" screamed and yelled at me, called me names, talked the whole time, wouldn't let you get in a word and most importantly, wasn't willing to listen at all- not even for a second. ( And he is the person running the place). I don't understand when someone inconveniences me because they are not shipping when they said they would ( and yes, an order is a contract) and they get to call me an idiot and stupid because I'm asking why my order has not came in yet. Actually, I find it a bit ironic coming from the "50 shades of crazy" man. This man literally raises your blood pressure in 1 second. 6. They lie. I have called 4 times to order and 3 more times to make sure my order was coming on time. When I've spoken with the lady after I ordered (3 times), she told me 3 times that it's coming on time. However, then they called me and told me it's going to be delayed. When I ordered, I wanted a specific time for my products to come ( it was a surprise for someone else that clearly never happened) and I did specify that I needed the products at that specific time. I did ask if it's possible and the lady said yes. So when I "talked" to them the 8th time, the PSYCHO MAN came out of the looney bin and I had "the pleasure" of him SCREAMING at me. So in conclusion, why do you promise things that you can't deliver and then call your customers idiots and stupid for your short comings. 7. The products are not that great. After planting them ( not as a surprise anymore) only about half of them made it. I'm not calling again to try to get my money back because I know I'm not going to and I'm sparing myself the time, energy, and sanity of dealing with these people. (They need a reality show. ) So I hope you're smarter than me and go somewhere else, however, if you choose to continue to do business with them, you have been warn! Good luck! read more

WORST SALES EXERIENCE EVER! After a year of thinking about making the trek over to the "blue berry capital of the world" hammonton nj to get hard to find organic & heirloom blue berry plants, I made the trip. I was very excited! Anyways, I get there and a man and woman walk over, who inform me that they have no brochure or written details on the plants they are selling, except for what was on the website and the minimum purchase was 5 plants (so $50) and it was to be cash. The woman informs me that the local store "Food basket" has an ATM. So that was no problem, although I was hoping for a better idea in person of what I could purchase, regardless there still were the blueberry plants I really wanted and the main reason I drove over. So, I check on their website again to refresh my memory on what they grew and offered for sale for a minute or two then I return to the farm with plenty of extra money. When I ( and my boyfriend and little nephew) return a few minutes later, the man who owns the house, again emerges to help us. Initially seeming decent, interested in where we came from. I tell him what we were hoping for: a container plant and maybe a sampling of the supposed 36 varieties of heirloom blueberry plants. He interrupts me to say he knows exactly what I want and rattles of 6 things people tend to want from blue berry plants, since he's been doing this since age 12. I say ok that's probably right. He starts getting into how he doesn't have time for this as he has a bunch of things to do and wedding. He says hates retail and so do all his family members. They make nothing from these small transactions. This is like breakfast for them, he continues. He says he is used to trucks loading huge orders for plants. . I said," well we're only going to take maybe 10 minutes of your time." I ask if it's ok to get some raspberry plants or maybe even the grape vines, mentioned on the website as well. He says, well were only going to do the 5 blueberry plants. ( He's getting really impatient for only 3 minutes of talking!) I ask him instead, about the getting a variety of blue berry plants that bloom at different parts of the season( as mentioned on the website, ask about their al variety seasonal pack or something to that effect). I figured, well that's ok we'll just talk about that and just focus on getting blueberry plants and hopefully it works out. He gives us one plant and tells my boyfriend to load it in the car and proceeds to pick another, but no explanation about anything. I ask, "is this one going to bloom later ?". He goes into details of how he doesn't have time for this again. And I say, "I'm not sure what is going on, but we're really not nor planning on taking much your time and you're being a little rude". He take the plants back and says we should probably leave. I say that's fine, but I definitely reporting you to the Better Business Bureau." He says," Bad, reviews don't bother me.. and something about how he is a successful businessman." He continues that, I should just leave his property right now. I say, "Oh, believe me I am "and I take a picture if him, just to validate that I'd been there when I shared the story as needed with the better business bureau and he comes running after me, demanding I delete it. He literally, pulls me by the waist trying to prevent me from entering my car and trying to take my camera. I get into the car anyways and he can't reach my camera as I look through to see if I even got a picture. He stands there demanding the picture be deleted and won't allow me to shut my door, but standing in front of it. I finally get the idea that I have to drive forward with my door open, just to get out of there! - End result: No plants and total disappointment! Are they lying about these 36 variety heirloom blue berry plants, or what? I literally got no information about anything during those 5 crazy minutes. Not even about the age, type or anything of the plants I was looking at, which he wanted to sell me. No details about early blooming plants verses the late. Whether it would work to container garden their variety. Not what I expected from an organic farmer... or any business person for that matter! read more

STOP do not send Dimeo money. I ordered 75 blueberry plants in October to plant in the late fall. Six months later I finally receiver some plants. The plants were in a bag in the carton no water or moist packing with them so some of the plant roots were dry. Ten percent of them have died. When you call to place an order they give you a total price you think they are shipping next day shipping because of the high cost but they just use the US postal service. I was charged $150 for shipping my plants. This works out to be about $2 per plant additional for shipping and handling. By the time I figure in the dead plants my cost per plant is $8.76 each for something that sounded like a good deal at $4.95 After I gave up on getting plants from Dimeo I ordered 50 plants from Finch Blueberries and was charged $25 actual shipping cost and received them in 4 days from the day I ordered them. I Dimeo asked for early and late season blueberry plants. What I got are all early season plant that came marked with a sharpie on some tape with the variety names that I ordered. Who knows what I actually got But I know I did not get what I wanted. see below The Dimeo Blueberry farm owners do not care about their customers just read some their terms and conditions at the very bottom of their first web page. It is 20 pages long talks about every gripe the owner has from customers driving on the grass to customers that complain that their plants arrived dead. and many other crazy things. . To quote from his TERMS AND CONDITIONS 'Within the shipping fee price is not just the standard postage or cost of shipping, but also a box charge, materials charge, labor charge, shipping supplies charge and transportation to shipper charge." But if you think picking up is better "Please be aware that when you pick-up your order of any two (2) year-old product advertised on our website for $4.95 each, that there will be an additional fee of $1.05 per pot added for the fact that we will be giving you the thick heavy duty reusable nursery pot, special sand and peat moss mix, and special slow-release 8-9 month fertilizer for one year along with the product." From terms and conditions of Dimeo Farms "We never guarantee a certain plant or bush height in feet, inches, or number of canes, leaves or branches. As such, when anyone asks a plant or bush height question, we respond by stating "usually up to around"" " We never guarantee that a plant or bush age will be (for example, exactly a three (3) year old plant or bush) as the bush or plant we sell you may be somewhat younger or older than 3 years-old" "If any of your requested plant varieties are sold out, currently not in stock, were never in stock or stocked, not available, or low in inventory, we fully reserve the right to substitute... with our own choice of plant variety" You may get a blueberry bush of some height, age, and variety which may not be what you wanted or expected dead or alive If you try to contact them about your order all you get is "You will be called when your order ships." You wonder why they do not take credit cards, probably because you would be able to get your money back through the credit card company. By sending a check you have no recourse. No invoice or receipt or instructions no confirmation of your order. read more

Stay. Away. From. This. Place. You have been warned. I ordered 5 blueberries, their minimal amount, at the beginning of March 2021. Somebody called Lindsay, who is very rude and bigoted and should not be allowed anywhere near customers, said they will ship the plants as soon as I send a $100 check. In my naivety, I did, expecting to get a call, confirmation number, email, anything at all. Did not. I checked my bank statement and noticed the check has been cashed. A week later I called to inquire about the status of my order. The same Lindsay told me that Michelle, who is not available and does't know when she will be, if ever, will give me a curtesy (?!) call when they will ship them. About another week from now. That makes it three weeks since they cashed my check. Still refused to give a confirmation number, extremely rude (at this point I am STILL polite because, heck, they cashed my money and I want something out of it, since I was an idiot to send a check without any proof or confirmation that I have placed an order or anything). I said I will call daily until I have a confirmation of the shipment date. By now I am half-convinced that I lost $100 and that is all my fault. More importantly, waiting for my check to arrive to them, waiting for them to cash it and all that, I missed the planting window. All I wanted these wretched plants for was my small child who really likes blueberries. Like, a lot. Don't know why, nobody else in the family likes them that much. I wanted only 2 or 3 bushes, but they forced me to buy 5 blueberries because that's the minimum order. I tried to get them to sell me 3 blueberries and 2 anything else, as they advertised on their websites, but no. Fine, the hell with it, I'm not going to fight with what seems to be more than just deaf ears, but a positively hostile contact person from this business. Also, "please" and "thank you" are missing from any DiMeo person's vocabulary. So I bought 5 blueberries. Pick your fights. Anyway, half an hour later some dude calls me, does not introduce himself, he says he's the boss (he put heavy emphasis on 'the boss'), all I get to say is "Hello. I'm very pleased to hear back from you" (genuinely happy, no sarcasm, as I really did not expect to hear from these people again) and then HE starts to scream, calls me crazy, cheapskates and all sorts and that he'll write the cheapskates a refund check and then, basically like a 6 year old, started chanting "Cheapskate! Cheapskates!". I couldn't get in a word edgewise. I lost it, I screamed "How dare you!" and I hung up. This is DiMeo farms. Beware of them! Lesson learned: never EVER send money to some shoddy sketchy no good company without some proof that you actually placed an order. BTW, I reported them to BBB as well. That's how terrible the experience with this company was. When I got to the BBB website, every single one of the reviews were 1 star and the rating of the company is F. If only I read those before sending these terrible people a check. Hindsight is 20:20. Even if by some miracle you get lucky and have a neutral or even positive interaction with this company, you still should boycott them just because they treated so many others so badly. read more

BE AWARE & STAY AWAY!! We visited & purchased blueberry bushes this Mother's Day 2020. On our way out of the farm our tire was punctured directly across the street from DiMeo's exit. We pulled off of the road and asked the woman who sold us the blueberry bushes just minutes before, where we can safely park to change our tire. We called AAA & the driver arrived within 20 minutes. As we were having the tire removed, the owner, Anthony "Spider" DiMeo, who we never saw before this, came out with his phone & shoved it in my face, cursing & screaming while taking a video...(This is during Covid 19 "social distancing") He was aggressively shoving his phone on my face and pushing me down. I am a professional woman in my 50's, who was a passenger in the truck & had just bought 7 blueberry bushes. He accused me of getting a flat tire on purpose!! He called us "stupid, f*cking, local retards, over & over again...we are not locals! We drove an hour to give him business. The then pushed my back and was screaming into his video he was "escorting me off of his property". He became more unhinged and screamed, "You better have money, I'm calling my lawyer, I have you on camera." He is a vicious, disgusting, foul little man and should not be allowed to treat anyone this way. I Googled him after this incident and wished I had before we went... So, before you pick a place to buy blueberry bushes.... Please go to Trip Advisor, Yelp, BBB, https://dimeo-farms.pissedconsumers, go back to March 17, 2006 The Philadelphia Inquirer "The Blueberry Heir" or www.ripoffreport.com/reports/dimeo-farms/. I left there shaking, crying, humiliated & will NEVER go back. I just have to warn the next customer/victim... DO NOT GO HERE. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS OWNER. This incident is all on record at the police department because I am afraid this psycho is going to hurt someone. read more

Two issues: false advertising, and the owner's abusive and deceptive behavior. DiMeo Farms advertises on Google and their website "4 foot mature blueberry bushes for $10". When I arrived at the DiMeo Farm on Sunday April 29th, the owner was already in the middle of verbally abusing two other customers - an older couple, and an Asian couple. I wasn't even out of my car, and there was a situation at hand. I got out of my car to see who I should speak to, and the owner, Anthony DiMeo, yelled at me to return to my car and wait to be called. He scolded "this is a drive-thru service", even though this is NEVER mentioned on Dimeo's social media or website. Their website boasts "over 32 varieties", yet, if you ask any questions, Anthony Dimeo screams at you! As soon as the other two customers left, Anthony DiMeo came over to me and said "I hate cheap Asians and old men". This guy is a huge RACIST! The blueberry bushes being offered are between 12" and 18", and are sold for $10. The 4 foot mature bushes that are advertised at $10, are selling for $25. Anthony literally expects you to pull into his driveway, tell him how many bushes you want, fork over cash, and promptly leave. DiMeo Farms wants you to believe they're a nice family farm, which couldn't be farther from the truth. DiMeo Farms is owned an operated by one (little) man, Anthony DiMeo III, a self-agrandizing sociopath. Simply put, Anthony Dimeo is running a bait and switch operation. In addition to his bait and switch routine, he is quite possibly the rudest, most abusive business owner I've ever met in my life. I wish I had read the reviews before driving one hour to his farm. Hundreds upon hundreds of customers have been subject to his fraudulent tactics and abusive behavior. Something needs to be done about his practices and his behavior! read more

Really nice, friendly people to do business with. I'm so happy I found them and called. The farmer I spoke with was exceptionally gracious and helpful on the telephone. He took his time to speak with me and I never felt rushed or anything like that. He did put me on hold a couple times, but I understand they are busy and no offense was taken. I can tell that they do care about you as a customer. We talked for about 15 mins about me being in the process of rehabilitating our family garden. The friendly receptionist transferred me to one of the owners who quickly took my call. He was so nice and able to answer all of my questions to my satisfaction. The plants that were sent to me were in superb condition. Fully rooted with many healthy stalks and excellent root systems. I expect these to yield significantly and sooner than my purchases in the past from one of my local nurseries. So, yes, they were well worth the slightly higher price to me. The owner said that if I ever have any questions, to just call them and that they would take care of me. I lost a copy of the planting instructions they include with the shipment. I called back and the receptionist quickly e-mailed me a copy of the instructions and even thanked me for my business. She called to make sure I received the e-mail and asked if I had any questions. I should add that the farmers use natural growing, Non-GMO techniques, which is another plus in my book. The customer service is very communicative about your order. They called me twice to update me. You know exactly when you will receive it, and they accommodated me special requests on when I wanted to receive the shipment. Older, yet, very informative website. First rate plants and impressive customer service. Will be telling anyone I know to support this wonderful farm. read more

A real class-act, and magical place. This past summer, we drove to DiMeo's at the recommendation from a friend. My friend goes blueberry picking at this place every summer. It's a friendly place. The farm is cozy and inviting. It literally is the most beautiful farm I have ever been to in New Jersey. What a beautiful way to spend the afternoon picking organic blueberries! The drive there is beautiful and the destination is like the cherry (or in this case blueberry) on top! Lol. The plants were loaded with berries, the staff is helpful, the prices reasonable and the owner is friendly and knowledgeable. He was very nice and helped us carry our blueberries back to the car. Can't wait to return next summer! Their u-pick farm is just the right size to walk. It's not overwhelming where you have to walk far from your car to get out to the actual picking area. The prices were great. It was only $1.66 a pint. For organic blueberries that's so so so cheap!! They give you the old fashioned green paper pints and you walk out to the fields. Several different varieties to choose from. Now that I think of it, they have many. After you are done there is a very delightful little fruit stand where you can buy one of their really cool customized t-shirts, blueberry preserves and they have blueberry plants with blueberries already on them that you can buy. We took home a thornless blackberry plant, two cranberry bushes and 5 blueberry bushes that were loaded with berries. And they give you planting instructions. All of the plants have thrived and gave us berries even into the fall months. Looking forward to our visit next summer!! Loved the relaxing zen-like music they played read more

Great farm, great yogi-appreciating .... earthly people, great atmosphere. I'm soooooo glad this farm started hosting yoga classes. I can't think of a better way to start my weekend. Being able to practice outside on a gorgeous family farm and connecting with nature along the trails in the Jersey pine barrens is a whole different yoga experience. They have yoga class instructors there during their blueberry picking season in June, July and August every weekend, but it's for large groups only. You can book your own group session, get people together, and bring your own class or instructor, but you have to let them known in advance and it's all by appointment only. The farm is open year-round, but the best times are summer, spring and fall ...with the Indian summer we are having this year, we might get another group together and squeeze in one more session since it's going to get warm again. Being able to practice while meeting new down-to-earth piney people is even better. Being able to help support the farm's rescue animals is also a great feeling. Their summer and fall weekend sessions are great for beginners and seasoned yogis. If you haven't had a chance to try it I would highly recommend it. I signed up for my first class thinking it would be a one and done experience. As soon as I got home from the first class I immediately signed up for the rest of the sessions. It even got me into gardening, cause I didn't know they offered all kinds of organic berry plants too! YES it's that awesome! Berries, gardening and forest yoga. So sign up, pick your instructor and get you group together! You won't regret it. It's a great bonding experience:) read more

In order to identify the plants being shipped as bare root plants you need to go into the terms and conditions section of the website and search the contract for it. This is the abhorrent behavior for a plant nursery. This company is pulling what they feel is a perfectly acceptable bait and switch tactic. Yes it is legal for you to contain the information in a hard to reach sector of your website. Yes it is the buyers responsibility to read the terms and conditions part of any agreement. That does not however reduce the fact that it is underhanded and a very dirty business practice. Every other company that sells bare root plants has the plants listed as bare root dormant plants. This company lists them as BIG 3 year old plants and in an unattached sector says all shipped plants are bare root stock as is our legal right to do. Thats right it actually has a section outside of the product description that changes the product and says it is our legal right to do this. Like a lowdown dirty scumbag salesman who knows you cant do anything if you do not catch them before the act. If the owners of this company do not agree with this description then alter your website directly on your main home page to read bare root plants in a clearly defined section that is unmistakably describing your product as it is sold. Prove that what you are doing is not a bait and switch and your practices are not immoral by adding this one small fact to your description. Or continue to be lowdown rotten immoral scum by continuing the actions you know to be causing such dissatisfaction with your every dwindling customer base. read more

I have never met this family or any of it's farmers. We live pretty far away from where their farm is located and will probably never meet them, but I am impressed. Ordered five mature blueberry plants. They arrived exactly during the time that I requested and are all thriving. They sent me great blueberry plants just as ordered and promised. Picked loads of berries off just ONE of their plants which yielded FIVE TIMES the amount of fruit I got off the "sticks" that another company sent me. I had ordered elsewhere online before I found the DiMeo's and I was somewhat scammed by people who claimed they had a blueberry farm but when I Googled their address as shown on their website, I saw that they didn't even have a blueberry farm, but looks like they are just selling plants out of their backyard. I'm not going to name them, but just say to watch out for the fake farmers online! The DiMeo's are THE REAL deal that send out a far superior product than others that are not even actual farmers. BUT, my DiMeo blueberry plants have all produced as promised in this the first summer. THANK YOU FOR BEING REAL, HONEST AND CARING!!! p.s. before you order from any of these online guys, make sure you google their addresses and then compare the photos, you will see who has REAL FARMS and who is just posing a farmers online. Compare the DiMeo satellite photos (of a real working blueberry farm) with other online plant sellers that act as if they are farmers, and you will see what I mean. read more

The hardworking farmers running this pick your own blueberry farm are proper, friendly, helpful and very well organized with all the berry pints ready to go and a with a little business card for when you come back again. I noticed it said "Heirloom" blueberries is their specialty on the card. The pints snap together easily so that no berries spill out after you are done picking. They have a little foot wash station and everything out by the fields, we felt like we were at the beach cause the soil is sandy and beautiful. You can walk barefoot if you want, the soil is that nice and sandy in the blueberry fields. It was easy to get right to the blueberry fields as they have beautiful trimmed and manicured paths around all the different fields with a little white building there with blueberry jams and some very cool wooden blueberry crates that you can buy to pick in if you want but we just went with the pints. Next time maybe we will buy a couple of the old wooden boxes to pick in to add to the cool factor. We found lots of ripe plump Heirloom blueberries that were easy to pick and they are delicious, too. We would definitely go back and recommend it to others. read more

DIRECTLY TO THE BUSINESS OWNER: You are an actual disgrace to the farming community and a shit stain on the underwear of your family legacy. I have only encountered one other company working through Yelp where a family business was passed down to a rotten egg. I told their father who didn't want to hear the bad news that his daughter, although capable of many things, cannot work directly with the public. YOU, my friend, are the SAME. YOU need to never work with the public, vendors or actually anyone from polite society if you want your business to survive. After reading your reviews from Yelp, Google, Trip Advisor and BBB, they have a common and frequent pattern. YOU. YOU will be the down fall of your family legacy. ANY CUSTOMER who has been in contact with you has NOTHING GOOD TO SAY ABOUT YOU. Especially how you treated them. I encourage you to change your behavior or become a "basement worker" because God knows when you see the light of day you are a rude crazy asshole who in my option might quite possibly need to be medicated for your condition and behavior. I would rather has my eyes plucked out than deal with this wacko. Cheers, Erika read more

JUST SAY NO TO DIMEO. READ ONLINE REVIEWS FIRST OR YOU WILL BE SORRY! JUST-SAY-NO...TO-Di-ME-O. WARNING ESPECIALLY TO SOUTH JERSY PEEPS! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH DiMeo Blueberry Farms & Blueberry Plants Nursery They are absolute garbage! I wish we had read the many, MANY online reviews about what a horrible business this is. This jackass is in Hammonton, NJ. The guy is crazy and rude read the reviews. I wish we had. We ordered five plants by personal check. The plant we rec'd was so small and weak (think Charlie Brown Christmas tree) it may have been one. They insisted it was five wrapped up. (Which made it even worse.) Then this moron starts to claim we were trying to extort plants from him. I had a huge chat with him in Facebook where I alternated between dislike and pity. Just a crazy, cruel clown. Other funny thing: he said "oh we don't care about online reviews or complaints with the BBB" - then suddenly I'm blocked from their Facebook page. What happened, tough guy? All over blueberries! LOL. Plenty of other places to get plants. Read some of their reviews here: https://davesgarden.com/products/gwd/c/7646/0/#b JUST SAY NO TO DIMEO read more

Actually it's 0 stars! Stay away, this company is a mail order fraud that "claims" to send you 3 year old plants that are 4' tall ten send you 1 year old plants 16"-24" tall and "explain" to you they had to trim them for shipping!? Impossible that these are 3 year old plants and what Home Depot and Lowes have for $10 are far more mature and better value than this scam garbage. The service on the phone by both Anthony and his wife is no less than rude and bullying and they deserve to starve. DO NOT SEND THEM YOUR MONEY! They mistreat their workers and yell like you would not believe. A new girl was working the phones and you would not believe the way he yelled at her and was condescending to her on the phone where I could hear. The woman, his wife, will listen to you for a minute and when your done speaking goes silent and will not speak until you sau "are you still there?" the shortly thereafter she puts you on hold and never returns even after 15 minutes. These people should be shut down and investigated by the IRS and the New Jersey Attorney General. The BBB has many, many complaints and canot get responses giving them a F rating. read more
I think it's really important for consumers to know what kind of people those who run the businesses they patronize are. The owner of Dimeo Blueberry Farms is a deranged person with anger management issues, unfit for interaction with others. Definitely keep your kids away. Please read the hundreds of negative reviews, all across the internet, that have been left by innocent people, just trying to buy some blueberries, who have been berated, mocked, insulted, harassed, and generally terrified by the owner. Nevermind the poor quality of their product and misleading advertising. Not surprisingly, they have an "F" rating from the BBB. As consumers, the success or failure of a business is ultimately our responsibility; this guy needs to be shut down before he terrorizes anyone else. To make your research easy, aside from what you read on Yelp, take a look: https://davesgarden.com/products/gwd/c/7646/0/#b https://www.bbb.org/us/nj/hammonton/profile/farm/dimeo-farms-0221-90078416/complaints https://dimeo-farms.pissedconsumer.com/review.html Please, be an educated consumer and do business elsewhere! read more
