Upon arrival to the golf course, the practice putting green is usually littered with people getting ready for a round or just practicing. It's a really great site and very inviting as well since they also have Adirondack chairs for people to sit and enjoy a drink. The course also offers two driving ranges, one with mats and grass tees at the other end of the range. If you have time for a proper warm-up, go to the other end of the range as the mats are worn and Are really only good for getting warm up swings in. The golf course, regardless of the nine you play, will require you to hit big T-shots, layups, cuts and draws throughout your day. You can be even more aggressive off the tee if you have a really big ball and are accurate with the driver. Tee boxes are clearly defined and are all level. Fairways are generous enough but are still very challenging to hit because of the tree line everywhere you go. All the bunkers that I got to experience were in perfect playing condition and consistent throughout the course. Getting to the greens is one part of the challenge but actually putting on these is the big challenge! The greens are generous yet very fast and undulating. Some putts will break 2 to 3 times more than you see but having a little local knowledge would be key here! The cart ladies are all very friendly as is the pro shop staff. When we were there, the pro shop was sparsely stock which was a little disappointing but not something that would prevent me from coming back by any means. I would definitely come back and play little mail again, it's a great place to be challenged with your golf game.

Elsewhere I've seen $10 for $110 balls. In addition to that a fair amount of the balls you'll get back are damaged because they aren't taken out of rotation. At least one of the covered golf mats is absolutely torn up and almost unusable. And there are no targets to aim for on the open field. Pros to this place are that there are many places to drive from with probably close to 20 stalls being covered for when it rains, though I'm sure you'll still get wet. At least it offers shade from the summer sun! There are also uncovered mats and many spots where you can tee off from the grass. Also, rental clubs are free. Tees are a dollar. It also helps the the staff there's very friendly.

The fairways are like putting greens. Very well kept. The greens were fast and unforgiving. Everything was handled in a very COVID respectful way with all help using masks and plenty of sanitizer available. The food and beverages were handles in a COVID friendly way as well, but this could also be somewhat challenging. It certainly lacks some of the intimacy we'd grown accustomed to in previous years. It was big, a lot of walking as the downfall, but I liked how big it was. It felt like our own little town of flow artists. Plenty of room to camp, for vendors and all the workshops to be held. 30 minutes from Philly, quite convenient for most, kind of the mid-point of east coast. Workshops - 5/5 stars So impressed. I walked away from every workshop either had having a lot of fun, or having learned more than I ever thought one could in 1.5 hours, or both. The level of talent the festival brings in -- and the instructors themselves are so wonderful. So full of love and passion, teaching techniques/combos that are so creative. I walked away feeling so alive and awakened. Whether you want to participate in contact staff, hoop, juggling, clowning, yoga or anything in between -- there's an amazing workshop to expand your flow. The people - 5/5 stars -- amazing. It's the most beautiful thing, seeing so many people, many of them strangers, come together and just express their passion for 5 days. These were the kindest, purest people I've met at not only a festival, but just life in general. It's hard to put into words -- but people were so friendly, and eager to show each other things they learned/tips etc. It was nice being somewhere, where everyone is on the same page. You didn't have to worry about someone raiding your camp, because everyone there had a deep respect for each other -- that was amazing to feel. Miscellaneous pros The effigy was beautiful -- and so well executed, no words to really describe that. It was also really cool that there was a haunted trail at night. Music was really fun, and the people dancing all night were even better. Food vendors were friendly, and very reasonably priced -- also took Paypal which is convenient. Miscellaneous cons - the hoop vendor was a bit too expensive (I believe $35).. it was in the 30s, especially when you can get one shipped for $27 , with $10 shipping. -lots of bugs! bring bugspray. And maybe calamine lotion .. there's some poison ivy but not too bad - They close the gates at night -- I guess it's either to prevent outsiders from getting in, or to discourage drinking/driving? Either way it's a little inconvenient if for example, you came with a day pass, want to stay late and listen to music -- then when it comes time to leave you realize you're locked in lol. All in all, I walked away incredibly happy, fulfilled and as silly as it sounds, it was a soul-awakening experience. I will return to roots, 2016.
