Switching my main checking and savings accounts over as well as adding a mortgage.They have have accounts that are based on multiple financial situations, as well as usage. They also over gold rewards based on that as well! Nothing like being rewarded for putting your money in good hands. Not only that they have a friendly staff at every location and are great to deal with on any given day at any given location. I have banked in Waterford,Dayville, pawcatuck, Groton, and now more so in mystic And I've never had a less than 5 star experience. I had my bank account with Putnam Bank from December 2010 to March 2018. For the most part I enjoyed the customer service the most. The only issue I had was very few. One issues was that a savings account can only have money added or taken out with a bank booklet. This seems to be a very ancient process still used in the 21st century. I would understand if at some point they updated their app so any consumer can deposit or withdraw over the app like the accessibility I have with My current bank Navy Federal. I would suggest that would be something current consumers should be able to use. Another issue which never got resolved was that I was charged by an online purchase and between the online store and the bank both just told me to contact the other which seemed like my lost $15 wasn't worth the frustration and gave up. I will consider Putnam Bank in the event I need to change banks.

i switched to this bank from the other local one i had previously been doing my banking at. i…read moredecided to switch as it was closer to my home big mistake!!! after my phone experience with them not once ....twice....but after the "third time" i was totally disgusted with the way they have their customer phone system set up!! when you call it goes directly to the main office with "no option " to speak directly to a certain branch!! ( ridiculous!) the recording automatically puts you in a " so called "q" then proceeding to tell you what call you are & your wait time!!! well .... the 1st time i was caller #2 w wait time of 8 minutes (again ridiculous) 2nd time i was caller #6 w wait time of 14 minutes... 3rd & last time i was caller # 9 w wait time of 25 minutes!!! i felt as though i was calling a radio station to win concert tickets ... but w this bank you dont win anything!!! it was urgent that i speak w an employee as my debit card was stolen & it was being used racking up astronomical chargers in the meantime!!! dime bank is the worst bank ive ever dealt with.....never again!! after all the problems i had entailed with this "unprofessional " business i was done with them!!! so unacceptable & very unprofessional!!!
