Don't forget to order chicken liver (sawdah djeij) on menu. No need to mention the real Lebanese tabbouleh, Hommos, Labneh and Ksara Reserve du Couvent. Please do not go there for falafel, have falafel at a shop somewhere else! It's just not Lebanese to eat falafel at a restaurant!

I was enjoying my appetizer so much without knowing it wasn't the main course. then came the main course! three different meats straight off the grill on kebab sticks, lamb chicken and a seasoned sausage that was also probably lamb. anyway the lamb is cooked so well you can barely tell its lamb. oh man, the garlic aoili type sauce is so addicting, I spread that on my pita bread (I think I had 8 slices), and dipped my lamb in it too. everything was so delicious! lastly, came dessert, which my stomach by then had no hope for. the waiter took note of this and kindly packed it for me along with the rest of my unfinished meal, including the pita bread I requested to take home. oh, and don't forget to get some of that garlic (tsaziki?) sauce home too! it'd be a loss if you didn't! all this for 20€ and I've got enough left to have as a dinner! thank you Le Mezzé!h

We ordered a variety of traditional foods and shared, to get to try more of their options. I know when you're traveling in Paris, you only have a limited number of meals and you don't wanna waste one. This is worth it!

I suspect the waitress dropped the knife as she was passing behind my back. She was non-apologetic and extremely aggressive and rude. Arguing that she did not know where the knife was coming from?! This should not have been her first reaction. I have to assume that somehow she lost the knife from a plate. She kept arguing with me when I pointed out that she should have shown some concerns and simply apologize. She initially did not. Eventually she came to her senses and finally somehow gave a fake apology. We left the premises without eating anything. The atmosphere was dark and kind of depressed. I have to assume that the owner must have been away. Quand le chat n'est pas la, les Souris dansent.

Beautiful Lebanese flavors and preparation. Kind and caring staff despite our lack of French (if…read moreyou know the Lebanese names- it's the same). Open in the afternoon between lunch and dinner hours on the weekend. Take away or eat in. The hummus is smooth and creamy, served with a little pool of oil and sumac spice. The kibbeh is about half crust half meat deep fried and drizzled with a garlic cream sauce. The kofta is lightly spiced and served medium well. The salad has a really tasty pomegranate vinegarette that brings a touch of sweetness to the plate.

The Service: I walked in and was noticed and served immediately. I'm also a vegetarian and the waiter took the time to explain in clear, perfect English each and every menu item for me, while also showing me pictures of each dish. He was patient, he was thorough, and he was so kind. I'm a visual person so I really loved seeing pictures of dishes! The staff made me feel completely comfortable and were so accommodating. I asked for tap water to drink and they bought me an entire filled bottle almost instantly. This is honestly the best service I've had in Paris. English speakers have nothing to fear (contrary to previous reviews). The food: wow. I had trouble choosing since everything seemed really fresh and good, but I went with a mixed plate of a lot of vegetarian sides: tabbouleh, bulgur salad, labneh, hummus, baba ghanoush, stuffed grape leaves, and pita. The flavors are amazing and the food tastes fresh and healthy (not oily, food has some flavor to it, etc). The portions were large, the presentation was nice, and they brought along a cup filled with more pita than I could eat. It's the little things, you know? The setting: simple, but clean and it has everything you'd want. The inside isn't crowded at all and they have tables of a variety of sizes to accommodate different groups. Also, there's cute small touches-- the utensil/napkin/salt and pepper holders on each table are empty (clean) cans of Lebanese ingredients. The owners must have some family recipes here, because this food rivals dishes I've had in Lebanon. If you're in the neighborhood, stop by. If you're not in the neighborhood, make a trip out here. If you're a vegetarian or non-French speaker, DEFINITELY come. Five solid stars from me.
