I'm going with 5 stars until I try anything else. Smelled bbq in the air when driving by so I said why not. I'm not a fan of going to a bbq place that doesn't have a bbq aroma in the air. Location is in a little place next to a gas station. Im a huge pulled pork sandwich fan and was looking for that but they only had rib , rib tip, and chicken sandwiches. I settled for the rib sandwich. $8 and some changed, gave me about 6 ribs and 2 pieces of bread. The ribs were on point. They looked super good, had a nice dark bark on the outside and the meat was juicy and tender looking. For me the taste was delicious. Nice, Smokey flavor to them that wasn't to overbearing. Y'all gotta clarify on the hours of operation. At least put it on the door. This is one of my favorite spots I used to come here all the time but I work far and don't stay as close anymore the earliest I can get there is 5:30. So I decided to try this place because my sister said it was good. I knew it would be a different experience for me because everyone has different taste buds. The ribs were a nice taste and not bad but when I asked for sauce he said you have to get it yourself we don't have large containers to give barbecue sauce. The sides was supposed to be for a family I told him a family of 7 and he said the family size is a good portion. Well the portions you see on the picture is not family size and of course the Macaroni is very burnt so I can't tell you how it taste. The potato salad taste like Sams so it's mediocre. The chicken sandwich was dry and burnt. I do catering from time to time and I'm sorry I will never give anyone anything burnt after they spent over $80's on the food. I was excited to try this bbq spot next to my favorite wing spot. I walked in and it instantly felt unwelcoming. The gentleman who was helping with my order was not very communicative when I was asking questions. I can surpass that. But when I was ordering for the salmon plate priced at $10 I was juiced! -____- they plated this beautiful piece of salmon on 2 grains of rice... Dilworth's menu is not detailed and doesn't lost all possible options. It felt a bit unsure. The cashier was not mean, but he wasnt very welcoming and assuring. I enjoyed the taste of the food. My husband drove past this restaurant on the way home from work and immediately turned around after smelling the BBQ scent in the air. He brought home an order of large rib tips with a good amount of it missing (they didn't survive the ride home). Thankfully there was a little bit left for me to try. Went here on my lunch break after reviewing the ratings, and I must say I have mixed feelings about the place. Ordered the rib tip plate with double mac and cheese and a rib sandwich. I ate the rib sandwich first and it was decent. Started off a lil rough but got better. Loved the barbecue sauce as well. The ribs and rib tips were seasoned very well, some were a little tough and some were falling off the bone. Now to the issue...... the mac and cheese . Where do I start.....? Well for starters I think I finally found the sole reason for swollen ankles and high blood pressure in the Lithonia area. The food was so salty, I had to trash most of it. I ordered ribs, mac n cheese, greens, potato salad and brisket. The ribs, mac n cheese and greens were all extremely salty, the brisket had no flavor and it was dry. The only decent thing was the potato salad but it would have been better if they didnt put it in the container with the hot foods..... The customer service was just as bland as the brisket. I looked over it because I understand everyone isn't in the best of moods during these covid times. Speaking of covid, there is no social distancing and no one enforcing nor is there a plan to make sure the place doesnt get over crowded. There also wasn't any safety protocols in place for the BBQ dispenser. Everyone was just going up, picking up the little cups and tops all "willy nilly" and pumping the sauce out of the community drum of BBQ sauce. I very seriously doubt if I will ever return to this place. If you're reading this and have no other choice, make sure you bring a gallon of water to wash all the salt down and make sure you have a water pill to take afterwards. read more

We heard about this place and went on Instagram to check them out. We ordered Fish, Ribs and pork chops. The meat was excellent. The fish and pork chops were fried to order. The ribs were very tender. I gave it 4 stars because the sides didn't measure up with the meat. We ordered baked beans, greens, baked beans and macaroni and cheese. The food was as lackluster as the owner who took my order at the front counter. The menu was not very detailed and when I inquired about additional information on menu items I was met with a reply that I had to pull out piece by piece. The brisket was tough definitely not what I had anticipated. The chicken left much too be wanted. The sides were just blah. Overall the food just did not cut it. So I tried Dilworth's for the first time on the 4th of July. I got the Smoked Sausage and Ribs with Potato Salad and Baked Beans. The Ribs and Smoked Sausage were sooo great! Sides, meh. The Potato Salad was good, not great and the Baked Beans seemed straight out the can. Regardless, I loved it so much, I came back again today for the Smoked Chicken and Smoked Sausage and Macaroni & Cheese and Collards. Again, the meats didn't disappoint. Sides, just okay. My husband and I had this BBQ just today. How dare you serve someone ice cold collard greens. Almost as if they took them out of the fridge and just put them directly on the plate. Also the rib tips were horrible. They were mainly fat and gristle. Out of an order of tips there were only approximately 2 and a possible that were edible.
