Taking advantage of people, especially the elderly, with your deceptive advertising and app. Terrible the hoops that you require people to jump through to acquire your "ADVERTISED" discount. Large sale ads on the product at your stores and in fine print requiring them to select in the app to actual get the discount. Betting people won't notice the receipt at checkout. DECEPTIVE! I started working nearby so I stop by their deli area when I don't bring my lunch. I was so excited to see they have poke bowls!! I live in Overland Park and out there one by one all the poke places are closing. I am so happy they have this, and their sushi is pretty good too. I have been unable to access the app for over a month. I first went to the store as both the wife and I could not access the app. They told us the app was down. It has now been a month. The wife's Apple phone works now but the Android phones we have will not load the app. I called and was on a call with the most inept IT person I ever saw (didn't know anything about the app) for over 45 minutes and never got even a suggestion for a solution. While we enjoy shopping at the store and they have the best loyalty program in the area we can't use the app so it is worthless as we can't get digital coupons or anything else loaded. read more

I would normally rate this store higher but it started allowing spectrum representatives at the front of the store to accoste the customers as they leave. Wal Mart and dollar general did the same thing. I guess money talks, why else would you do this. It does not benefit me.​ read more

First of all the Front-end of Dillions is lazy. Stuff does not get done unless the TEEN employees do it. The store is already dirty and hardly gets cleaned unless customers brings it up. Most employees have attitudes when a TEEN asks a question or for them to do something for them that could cause them to get arrested. Two employees (Harker and Joe) do not take care of their well-being and wear the same stuff every day, don't take care of their hygiene. Every employee is BIG crybabies and complains!! I highly recommend not working here at all. read more

I highly suggest that the female pharmacist finds another career. The rudest pharmacist we have ever dealt with. To the pharmacy staff: It is considered rude to stare and point at the customer while the customer is waiting in line. The store manager that I reported this to was the nicest person and is embarrassed by the pharmacy handled this situation. read more

I really appreciate this store. It's the closest of the Kroger chain to me. It's very coupon friendly. They are usually well stocked. They usually have a good amount of markdowns and they do really well on keeping up with the best by dates. I'm funny about checking expiration dates. They also have a hot section that's really generous with their portions. I dig that. The store is well lit and very inviting. I've never had a problem with the staffing. They always are very pleasant and welcoming. read more

Not the place to shop during the virus due to carelessness of staff not customers. 1. When I parked, I noticed a staff member who had brought groceries out less than two feet away speaking to a customer in her car window rolled down. The staff member stayed there for a great length of time not practicing social distancing. 2. When at self check out, attendant working there leaned in one inch from my face to show me something on my screen. I had to ask her to please step back. She approached all that closely or near to. 3. When staff were passing customers in the store, they were not warning or saying excuse me and brushing too closely against customers. 4. Later saw the same woman who had been in the parking lot, who I had hoped would walk down the aisle on the opposite side coming towards us, but did not. Right down the center. It was as if only customers had received the Covid-19 memo. Not the staff. For the safety of myself and family, I will no longer be shipping here. read more

The pharmacy in this Dillons is absolutely awful. I have never been treated with so much disrespect in my life. Every single one of the workers was rude to me and did not try to help at all. I had an appointment at 11 and they said they cancelled setting up appointments. They said they could "squeeze us in" around other people's appointments. Will not be going back there. Come here for your fresh fruit cravings or flowers. This is the store that carries a lot of less common items. Their generic is Kroger's brand. They have a great selection of gourmet and specialty stuff. Their prices are higher than Walmart but you come for quality items and find that here. Also their bread is cheapest in town, best selection of power bar type items and their Dillon card will get you a discounted gas prices (gas station in same parking lot). Great selection of frozen goods as well. read more

Today, I visited a Dillon's in Lawrence, Kansas for the very last time. As I was using the self-checkout, I discovered that my actions were being recorded, at least that's what the screen was telling me. I hope that enough people respond about this to the extent that Dillon's discontinues this cynical and tactless practice. I for one do not appreciate that from the very minute I enter the store I am to be presumed a thief. And I hope that others will not ignore this appalling breach of the customer/vendor relationship. read more

I am a huge fan of the Kroger bands, particularly Private Selection. The real reason I come to this store, however, is the Graeters Ice Cream. As a Cincinnati native, Graeters is a taste of home and there are not many places to purchase it in the Kansas City area. Greeters isn't cheap at $5.29 a pint, but it is some of the best ice cream out there. They have been in business since 1870 and make all of their ice cream using the French pot system, 2.5 gallons at a time. Every pint is hand packed. I wish Dillons offered more varieties, but at least we can get it. I find that Kroger stores in general are clean, well laid out and well priced, after accounting for the Kroger Plus card discounts. This location is no exception. It is very easy to find your way around the store and the prices on some of the products... especially things like flowers... are great. If it wasn't for the fact that it was 45 minutes away, this would be my go-to store for grocery shopping... Kroger or Dillons, come out to the Kansas City, MO area... Please! read more

This is the closest you're going to get in regards to getting "organic" food in a mart-style shopping (like Whole Foods) I'm Leavenworth. The prices are a bit much than the Walmart down the street but the organic selection is much better. The layout of the store is also very welcoming and logical laid out. There some "heat-serve" prepared items at the deli and meat section. This place provides the best fruit selection as well if you are looking for a variety of fruit cups. There is also a red box out front for those that want to make it a movie night after shopping for groceries. Not a bad place but I just wish they had more organic selections. read more

Despite it being only his third day on the job he handled all of my questions and pickiness with patience and a warm smile. The food from the Chinese restaurant inside Dillons was completely inedible!! The crab Rangoon was overcooked, so there was no filling- I got fried wontons. The fried rice was both uncooked and burnt. I don't think they finished cooking the rice before they tried to fry it, it was crunchy. There were dark spots on the rice and it tasted burnt. I was charged $7 for my lunch that ended up in the trash. read more

New management has ruined store. Carts outside are always full of trash. Parking lot is dirty. Online pick up area is in the worst place possible. Should be at north west rear of store. I have been coming to this store for years. The place is clean, uniquely designed and has some of the best tasting deli foods in Leavenworth. They grocery prices are a bit steep, but it's okay if this isn't your daily shopping store. I use this place as my 2nd go to and I love it. They even have a total organic food isle, which most grocers don't have. Also their pharmacy has been good to me and mom for years. They know my mother's health conditions and work very hard to see to it that her med are refilled properly. read more

The NEW Dillons in Leavenworth is a jewel. Clean, well lit, and well stocked. No more clutter in the entryway and a clear views to the delightful interior. Lots of fresh choices including a large selection of Boar's Head meat and cheese. Excellent sushi selection. Highly recommend a visit if you are a regular Walmart customer and want to expand your choice and quality. Brand new rib smoker is up and running most weekends. Flower shop and bakery will make most anything happen you can think of that is legal. read more

My favorite grocery store in Leavenworth period. It is rather pricey vs. Walmart but about the same as Price Chopper. Owned by Kroger, this stores sells the organic food variety offered by Kroger under the Simple Truth brand and just delivers the all around best shopping experience in Leavenworth. Never reviewed a grocery store before. Dillons is awesome. It's a KROEGER store so fuel points work here. They do a really great job with local food and holidays. The prepared food is good. The staff is good too, they manage the lines really well, I have never waited behind more than 1 person. Natural foods is great, I was shocked to see a full line of all natural cosmetics, many different brands. wish I could bring this store with me when I leave. Such a relief and such a better experience than wal mart. read more
