The Dillon Farmer's Market is a bit smaller than some of the other farmer's markets in the area, but the overall quality of the merchants who attend makes it more than worth a stop.
There is of course your standard and most important aspect of any farmer's market, fresh produce. There are organic specialists as well as local farms, providing all of the best seasonal fruits and vegetables that you'd hope to find. The prices are low and the quality is very high.
There is a wide variety of arts and crafts, jewelry, photography, outdoor fireplaces, buffalo pelts and accessories.
There are also a number of vendors selling great products that you should definitely make a point of sampling. There is homemade horseradish that comes in traditional, beet, and citrus. The citrus blew my mind. It's amazing. You can get fresh smoked trout and salmon, including having your salmon cooked on a cedar plank at the market to take home for dinner. The ice cream from Higgles is some of the best I've ever had. The multiple bakeries have a number of delicious and interesting breads. There's greek and tamales and vegetarian and burgers etc. The pasta and sauces are amazing.
One thing that really struck me about the Dillon Farmer's Market was how nice everyone selling there seemed to be. I had long conversations with multiple people who explained everything I could possibly want to know about their product. They would help another customer and then come back over to talk to me. I've been to lots of farmer's markets and I can't say that I've had a friendlier experience than in Dillon.
