As department stores go this one is up there. I do believe it's my favorite department store. My favorite section is always shoes and bags. This time I gravitated towards the bags. I was in awe at the selection and the designers. Brahmin, Coach, Michael Kors, Vince Caputo, Vera Bradley etc. My main focus was on this lush purse by Michael Kors. This store has a nice selection. All colors, styles and price ranges. They were having a trade in with a discount of 30 percent. Staff at this location was very attentive, helpful and accommodating. I will continue to shop here whenever I am in Columbus GA. read more

Years ago The African American heavy lady was so unnecessarily rude at the Chanel counter, I was in shock. Walked real slow, talked slow and talks down to you. Not a lot of options to go to for Chanel make up in that area. This woman was horrible. She was obviously trying to avoid me, her phone was more important. She even applied makeup to herself! Right in the mirror, I felt like she was racist and trying to treat me like garbage. This store is managed very poorly. I didn't purchase anything I don't think she wanted me to. She looked in the mirror and was smoothing her bun as I was asking for a certain color rose beige foundation and she said "we sold out" Don't know how she knows her stock so well cause I asked her for 2 glosses and she said they only had the tester. Then remove it. Couldn't believe a salesperson would treat me that way. Been wearing Chanel for years. I took a ride to Atlanta and stocked up at Lenox square. This store is disgusting Hasn't gotten better Went in here, again recently they no longer carry Chanel. I bet it was because of poor sales, Yelp wasn't around back then, there was a older gentleman as manager, he was useless, almost like he was drunk. read more

These are some of the most incompetent workers I've ever had the experience of interacting with. I interacted with three workers who had no idea what they were doing. One spent ten minutes talking to a customer who had already checked out rather than ringing me up. She even gave this customer her phone number. Turns out she forgot to take the discount off the products, so rather than go back there, I went to a register in the jewelry department. The lady in the jewelry department told me that they have to manually input the discount and that they've been telling customers. Of course, none of the three workers that I spoke to in the jewelry department told me this. This lady handled the refund, but said that since I paid in cash, I would have to go to Customer Service upstairs to get the refund. I trekked to Customer Service and after talking to two people there, they told me I had to go to the register I got the refund at to get my cash back and that the previous cashier rang it up wrong. I went back downstairs again with one of managers and she was able to finally give me refund back. This whole process took over minutes. I would never shop at this location again. read more

I happened to be bumbling around with my parents in Columbus at the Peachtree Mall, and my mother and I decided to try to find some new make-up, as I recently had an allergic reaction to my current brand of foundation. We hit up the Dillard's Clinique counter, warmly greeted by a sales associate named Dolores. She patiently sat with me for a good 30 minutes, trying to figure out the best Clinique product to soothe the rash that had formed on my face, as well as a foundation that would meet my fair skin's needs. While Dolores clearly wanted to sell other products to me, including a basic moisturizer, eye cream and blush, she wasn't overly pushy, and pleasantly sold me the products of my choice: a tube of Perfectly Real liquid foundation, a canister of Comfort on Call Allergy Tested Relief Cream and the Come Heather eyeshadow trio (just for fun). My skin already looks and feels better! Plus, Dolores clearly rules. She works two jobs, so she can put her son through medical school. I happily purchased new make-up from such an awesome mom on Mother's Day weekend! read more

Rude management. The employees are nice people who are always willing to help. I go there often just to talk to some of them, but notice that one particular manager walks around hawking people when i am there. I believe her name is Kiersten and she looks like someone who is mad at the world every time i see her. I could not imagine working there because i can not be around negative people. I don't shop there much, but when i do i purchase clothing for my boys. The prices are higher than most department stores , but their Big and Tall section is decent. When they have sales those are ok. All in all, nothing i have to make a special trip for. read more

I had purchased a suit to wear to my Dad's funeral tomorrow and I needed a tan belt to wear with the suit. I went to Macy's and Dillard's to look for the belt. I wound up at Dillard's Men's Department and the cashier pointed me to the Big and Tall department to find the size belt I needed. On the way over to that department, I noticed an older black man with a Dillard's name tag watching me. I found the belt I needed and since there was nobody in the Big & Tall department to ring up the belt, I proceeded back to the regular men's department. On the way I stopped to look at some greatly reduced wool sweater shirts and that same old black employee stepped up to my left side and started thumbing through the same sweaters. I proceeded to the men's department and paid for the belt. When I turned around to leave, that same black man was standing behind me. I went downstairs and asked the lady at the perfume counter to call for a manager who was coming down the escalator as I was asking for him. I told him what had happened, that I did not appreciate being treated that way and that if it ever happened again, I was going to dress down the employee in a way that could be heard across the entire store. Given that this was the first time I had been in the store in 5 years, I doubt seriously that I will go back. What a shame it is that the company where my grandmother worked for nearly 50 years has sunk so low. The young lady cashier in the men's department and the young black man in the shoe department both get a 5-star rating, but the store...only a 1 of 5. It's the only place in Columbus where you can find choice clothing. (I love Marshall's, TJ's or Ross but the selection is very limited.) I shop at Dillard's where I can find all the brands and sizes. It's hit or miss on the help. Some of the sales associates are fabulous and others are duds. The Peachtree Mall is not a safe place to walk around, so I park at storefront entrances and get in and out without going into the mall. The only way to get their coupons is by using a Dillard's credit card which is one-sided. They do have fabulous sales in between seasons. read more

Super friendly staff. Called about 10 minutes ago asking for boxes to use to move with. They were very polite and helpful. Gave me directions on where to go to pick them up, and even cut them down for me. Love kind people like them!!! They didn't have to help me but they did. Much appreciated. read more

Linda in the fragrance dept. is awesome!! She was extremely helpful in finding me a great scent. She let me smell all the scents that I had a list of. Her customer service was the kind of service you like to receive when you are spending hard earned money! Her smile and kindness was Everything! I will definitely request her every time I go to Dillard's for perfume. read more

I shop here often with wonderful customer service except in the infant/children's department. There is one employee in particular who seems to be 'put out' if she has to assist you. The last time in this dept., I waited more than 40 minutes with a 17 month old to try to find out the price of a bib that was not marked. Only to be told it must have gone with an outfit that had been sold so they would have to 'damage it out' and I could not purchase it. The dept. manager would not come out of her office to help with the matter. Finally, I got the assistance of Amanda who was very helpful. I know Columbus does not have a lot of options for childrens clothing but if all possible, you will do best to stay away from this dept. in Dillards. read more
