This week Digital Installers installed my 77 inch LG G2. I know that since this TV is a picture frame TV it's not as easy as others. They did an amazing job. They installed Dolby Atmos surround in my house along with all the cabling and everything was done very neatly and precisely. Randall was very helpful getting things done on time and getting everything that I wanted. Laura came to listen to what we needed in our condo here Down Long Beach. Asked good questions and I think really listened to what I wanted. She was unfazed by the fact we had Spectrum service and completely at ease with the idea of moving our various network components to a closet patch panel. Within in a day she had a plan, and estimate, and answers to some questions I had after our first meeting. We booked a time a week out for the install. I had to shift the time a few days which they were very good about. On the day of install Laura and her colleague came early and quietly went about their work. They had to make a few holes in a wall or two to accomplish the modem move to the closet. Before I knew it they were all done and heading out. The best part(s)? These guys make it happen! I consider myself very technical in many areas. However, I learned that " my area" of "technical" is "limited' in the home entertainment arena. To make a VERY LONG story short, over a period of several months, I tried to set up a TV @ one of my mother's homes. First of all, I am NOT a techie! Two years ago I paid almost $4000 to have Digital Installers add wifi drops and a connection for a smart TV. After one year the TV wasn't working. Apparently it was a malfunctioning device that they installed. There was no charge for the replacement part, but they wanted to charge me $270 for labor. Labor was plugging the new part in...a one minute job which I could have done!!! After much deliberation I grudgingly agreed to pay $80. I have two children at home who are distance learning. The wifi was constantly going out and they were being disconnected from the internet, missing valuable class time and getting marked absent. Again, I called DI and again they would come out to trouble shoot THEIR OWN WORK for $270/hour. Their own work... which obviously was substandard. I feel that it's all about the money and not customer service or satisfaction which is what repeat business relies upon. While the installers that initially did the work were very nice, they left an unnecessary pile of wires and cables that could have been eliminated. Who knows what the attic looks like! read more

I've used Digital Installers twice. Most recent project was to upgrade my flat screen TV, add speakers and a sonos system to the house. The reason I rate them as just okay (3 stars): Pros: On site techs are great, knowledgeable, neat and do great work. They are willing to answer your follow up questions related to the installation and know the products they install well. Never had issues with their work. Cons: Regardless how good the service installation goes, they dropped the ball with how they respond to my follow up questions sent via email. At my most recent service appointment the tech fixed the issue and told me the service call would be discounted. Hours later I get the on-line bill and no discount is applied. Nobody called or explained why, I was just emailed the bill with zero explanation. When I emailed for clarification, I got nowhere and ultimately my concern was escalated to Rusty, the owner. He eventually did the right thing and honored what the Tech had promised but it was a painful process to get there and totally unnecessary. Instead of just apologizing and honoring what the tech told me, I received a final discount bill with a petty, snarky comment attached to it telling me any future service call would cost me $275. It literally felt like the owner was attempting to shame me for asking what was promised to me by the tech that did the service call. I don't care how good the service call goes, no customer is going to be willing to do repeat business with Digital Installers when they are treated this way. Rusty and his team don't seem to fully understand that they exist because of satisfied customer made it possible and always seems to want to have the last word or provide an explanation that doesn't address the issue or are reluctant to apologize for a poor service experience and that's why I unwilling to rate Digital Installers any higher or give them any future business. read more

I've always wanted a tv in my backyard but had no idea what it would cost. I yelped electrical and called AAA Calvert who has 4.5 stars. They said they don't really handle tv installations but highly recommended Digital Installers. When I called, Matt answered and said he could come out the same day for an estimate. He was highly knowledgeable and emailed me an estimate the next day. He said it would be a little over a week before they could schedule me but when he found out I was having a party before then he said he would call if they had any cancellations. Even though it didn't happen he was nice enough to follow up to let me know. The appointment time was scheduled between 1:00 & 4:00 and we received a call that day to let us know it would be closer to 2:00. Bryan and Vanna showed up at 1:50 and had the job done an hour and a half sooner than they estimated. One of the parts was cheaper than estimated and they had an extra cord that I was missing in their truck. These guys were awesome! The total bill ended up being over $300 cheaper than they estimated! I can't recommend this company enough. I don't know the rest of the employees but Matt, Bryan and Vanna are awesome! read more
