The prices are 2-3x's the price for braces/invisilign. Yes the building is nice and it is Laguna beach , but you can travel a short distance for half the price. Maybe look for an office with a more moderate setting. The software does most of the work anyways so save yourself some money and find another office who is familiar with invisilgn. Dr. DiGiovanni is the absolute best! I am so so thankful my family ultimately found Dr DG and his wonderful staff. I was told by my other orthodontists my son would need tooth extractions or need jaw surgery and after consulting with a jaw surgeon I really wanted to avoid surgery if at all possible. I wish all medical facilities were run like Dr. DiGiovanni's office. My 11-year old needed top and bottom braces. I shopped and wasn't impressed with offices in Laguna Hills or Lake Forest. When we checked out Dr. DiGiovanni and got a consultation my little girl was blown away, she loved the facility and they were so nice. Getting the braces done was a breeze, but where Dr. DiGiovanni shines is aftercare. They are always available after hours. I've used them twice when we had an after hours issue. He had a tech meet me at the Newport office at 8:30 PM. She had a smile and fixed our problem in 15 minutes. Their technology is state of the art, the imaging, the technicians, all world class. I can't recommend Dr. DiGiovanni enough - him and his staff are that good. I went into Dr. Digi office not because I needed braces, because I did not like how my lower teeth grew in as a child. Let's just say they were straight to most people, but not too me. Dr. DiGiovanni is an excellent orthodontist who knows how to treat the most difficult of orthodontic challenges. He treated my daughter who had an awful finger sucking problem as a child which, as a result, made her front teeth protrude terribly. He was able to explain to her in a friendly manner how important it was for her to stop the finger sucking in order that he could make her teeth beautiful. I broke my jaw and had my mouth wired shut for about 3 months resulted in moving all my teeth around. I went to couple of orthodontics for consultation and did not feel confident working with them. I finally decided to go and see Dr. Cook and her staff. WOW! what an amazing experience. Dr. Cook is super friendly and extremely helpful in explaining everything. What an experience!! Dr. DiGiovanni has hands down been the most personable and specialized service for my son. This is my third son with braces so I have had a little bit of experience with Orthodontist offices...and I would highly recommend this Dr. Because of his ability to make a normally dreadful event an almost fun and seamless treatment From the minute we walk In the office... We are always greeted with warm and friendly smiles and never have waited more than ten minutes to be assisted. Sometimes my son is pressuring me to go early and stay because he never has enough time to play the video games in the front office. I don't think I have ever had my other sons excited to go to an appointment ..... In fact my son had an expander for his pallet (a sometimes painful treatment) and Dr. Giovanni has a special ability to relate the treatment information in a manner my ten year old son understands... And never gets annoyed or upset when my son breaks his bands from eating candy he knows he is not supposed to be eating. IN FACT, I remember a particular time I brought my son in two times in one week for broken rubberbands... And the Dr. responded by saying .. "Bring him whenever... We love seeing Austin." Long story short... Dr Giovanni's office is warm and friendly and specifically caters to children making braces almost a fun event! Maybe if you have a very simple orthodontic issue, Dr. DiGi would be okay. But our daughter had biggish orthodontic issues and he was unable to perfect her bite. He was very dismissive and holier than thou in his treatment of her and he never admitted that he was unable to correct her orthodontic issues. The problem remains and they can't seem to figure out how to tweak a retainer so that it does what retainers are designed to do. That said, the staff is actually very nice, but Dr. DiGi himself thinks himself super awesome and above it all. read more

Five stars is not enough for this review! I cannot begin to thank Dr Digiovanni and his staff for all that they have done for me in the last few years. From the first moment I walked into the Newport office, I noticed how friendly the staff was! I was immediately brought into the practice like I was a family member; furthermore, the office felt home-like. Dr. DiGiovanni is extremely gifted with his craft and has changed my life in the most positively permanent way. From the first appointment to now, I walk into the office and I am greeted by the front office by first name and they always smile. To add on, they are always asking me how I am doing with my college work. After I talk with the staff, I always admire how clean the facility is, and I go to brush my teeth in the back where I get even more greetings by the back office that is always extremely comforting. To add on, they are always asking me how I am doing with my college work and talk to me about collegiate sports. To get to the treatment, the braces were not as painful as I had imagined it would be; moreover, I had braces for a span of two and a half years with several tightenings and rubber bands. Within that time span, I only had one emergency appointment because of a loose wire. When my wire became loose, I called into the Newport office and they squeezed me into the schedule and I was seen within two hours of the incident. I could not be happier as a patient. I will continue to come to this office for as long as time allows me and I will recommend this practice to anyone who is looking to get the best smile out of the best orthodontist in Orange County. It is worth every single penny that is put into the treatment and a great investment for the most amazing smile ever. read more

Two of my children went to Dr. DiG. I took my third to another ortho. His fees are outrageous and time actually spent with patients is minimal. The people who work in the office are very friendly and the office itself is very kid oriented and fun. Although Dr. DiGi is directing the staff, his assistants do most of the work. For me, the HUGE price (MUCH higher than other orthos) along with the little time he spent with my children left me feel like I was being had.
