This was a wonderful little place, with many local artists represented in all kinds of media: paintings, sculptures, watercolors, drawings, glass, pottery, even small pieces of furniture. The staff, volunteers, were friendly and appreciative. The prices were, on the whole, eye-poppingly reasonable and fair. I look forward to visiting again someday.

The sculpture garden is small, so it's a quick stop as part of your walk. From there, we enjoyed spending time along the river at Ross's Landing. There's nice green grass where you could spread out a blanket and have a picnic. There are also waterfront platforms you can walk out onto, with built-in benches and lounge chairs. Actual solid seating, too--not flimsy chairs someone tossed out there! A really nice place to sit and enjoy the river. There were porta-potties outside during our visit, although it looked like there had recently been an event, so I'm not sure whether those are always available. This is also where we spotted the Southern Belle riverboat and ended up booking a sunset cruise for that evening. We went out for a walk and apparently added a boat ride to the day! A really nice way to spend a sunny afternoon, especially paired with lunch and a little exploring.

We loved seeing the beautiful architecture of the older buildings, some of which had an old European feel. The old Bluff View Bakery building looked like something magical you may have seen cross the screen of a Harry Potter film. This district was a lovely way to spend an afternoon strolling around the downtown area with our small dog. It has restaurants, cafes, mezzanines, patios, beautiful winding paths, and views of the Tennessee River. This is a more relaxed area of downtown Chattanooga for sure. Depending on when you visit, parking can be limited and difficult to find. Free parking is offered for customers and can be found throughout the district on High St., East Second St. and Spring St. Parking is also available in the middle of the district between Rembrandt's Coffee House and Tony's Pasta Shop. Additional parking can be found at the southern end of the district behind the Bluff View Bakery. In all, visit the Bluff View Art District - you won't regret it!

He was working in the back while I looked in the store and browsed. Anyway, he is very talented as he does most of the work you bring him. You can actually see some finished work just to the right when you come in that locals have brought him to do some framing. I noticed there are some art work for sale of local tourist points like the bridges down town Chattanooga and etc. Also, he showed me work from local artists on display. You can take your pictures or oil paintings here and they will put them in a frame for you. There is also a pottery store next door but they were closed at the time I was visiting this art gallery.
