Good experience. I dropped off the truck early in the morning and Uber'd to work. The truck was done early and at a good price. I like the fact that Steve uses high quality filters, parts etc. He has an opinion on parts and he will share it to your benefit explaining why he likes and uses certain brands. My first thoughts are "Thank God for people like Steve and his beautiful family! There is a special place in Heaven waiting for people like them"! Words cannot describe our blessing! My sister and brother-in-law's truck was spewing fuel and their car was also not running. It was 3 days before Christmas and they were leaving back to their home in Baja, with or without their truck, having to take their son's truck. They didn't have the money to pay for the repairs, so I called Steve and paid the bill as a surprise for them for Christmas. Steve had repaired the truck, but it wasn't until late Christmas Eve (Thurs) and he was now closed until after the holiday weekend (Mon). I explained my situation and begged a little (okay, a lot!). Steve conferred with his family that my sister and her husband should have their Christmas "gift" on Christmas day. So, we show up Christmas morning to pick up the truck and Steve is under the hood, still working on the truck, while his family is waiting in their own truck. Apparently, the fuel filter that my brother-in-law put in had a bad gasket that only showed up because of the chilly morning weather, after sitting overnight. We were going to leave the truck, so they could enjoy their day as a family, but Steve's wife was persistent that we couldn't leave without the truck, as she wanted them to be able to receive it. Steve had a replacement filter on hand and that solved the problem. I am in tears now, as I was then over this situation! These are special people and Steve is a talented, honest, and hard working man! My sister and brother-in-law received a gift, but the kindness of Steve and his family were "our" gift! I found him to be very honest and he did not rack the price of parts up... Steve even did the extra work to mount the switch where I wanted it. Absolutely 5 stars. Steve at DSS went above and beyond to fix my truck. Recently I had an alarm with remote start installed on my Dodge 3500. The installation was done incorrectly and completely destroyed my wiring, engine control computer, vehicle computer and turbo charger controller +. I had my vehicle taken to 3 shops locally in Arizona without actually fixing the truck. I was recommended Steve at DSS from another diesel repair shop here in Arizona. I drove all the way from Arizona to El Cajon, CA and Steve said he had experience and could fix my truck where others turned me away including the Dodge dealership. I arrived on a Friday Steve went to work at the end of the day because he is very busy. He worked on it Saturday and I was able to pick up my truck on Sunday.
