From the moment we arrived, everything was as expected. We had no issues checking in and letting ourselves into the tent. It was furnished with care - luxury meets practical. They also included a card to wish us a happy anniversary, and had a few Lindor truffles I'm the mini fridge waiting. We were all thrilled to have the Keurig at our disposal for hot cocoa, tea and coffee service. All in all, everything about our stay was perfect! We had great weather, so the glamping (without a/c or heat) was just right. If you are worried about being warm/cold, you may want to bring additional provisions (they had a nice fan and that was just enough for us!) Well this is a clearly beautiful spot for a romantic getaway, it was also a perfect family event because every fellow parent knows you're already going to be packing your entire trunk with things for the kids, not to mention any recreational equipment you plan to bring to enjoy all of Lake cunningham. It was quite a treat to not have to think about bedding, air mattresses, fans, coffee gear, extra ice in the coolers, etc etc. We reached out a few days before to confirm furnishing details because we got a little turned around on the booking website, but that may have been just our own issue, and either way, they handled it well and answered our questions quickly.

Went to Stems on a Saturday to pick up some loose flowers that I could make into an arrangement…read moremyself when I got home. There were quite a few different types of flowers that I liked, and a pretty good selection to choose from. The problem happened, however, when I got home. At the store, they had wrapped all the different flowers in tissue paper and secured with a bow. But when I opened up the package, I noticed that a lot of the flowers were in bad shape. Some of the outer petals on the roses were wilted and had visible brown damage. There were several stems of iris that were completely broken, like bent over, and some that had some sort of mold on them. The big white hydrangea that looked OK from a distance up close actually turned out to be brown all over the place. In the end, I ended up throwing away at least six different flowers right into the trash. The next time I go to a florist, I will definitely pay closer attention, however, that shouldn't have been an issue I had to look for. They should not sell flowers that are rotten or don't look good.

This afternoon I went in, picked an arrangement out of the cooler, put it down on the checkout desk and stood there with my credit card out for a minute and a half while (who I believe is the owner) stood in front of me, facing me, buried in his phone. No one else bothered to step up or ring me out. To be clear, I was the only customer in the store. Put the arrangement back in the fridge and went to Baker's. Bums me out because I really do try to support small local shops and it takes quite a bit for me to write a bad review. Today was just really weird and inexcusable.

As I was not there to receive the item and didn't have a high resolution photo as proof, I was not able to submit for an item refund on DoorDash. I then called the florist directly who was rude and dismissive. They told me that they would not help me or make a refund for the missing item on the order- that I need to contact DoorDash if I had an issue with the order. When I tried to explain why I couldn't, because I didn't have a photo, again, dismissive. Oh well. As a result, I paid an up charge for absolutely nothing and have no way of getting a return for the missing item that they got paid for. I will not use this florist again, mostly because I was completely disappointed by their lack of customer service and frankly, their dismissive tone to a new customer who spent $126.43. While it wasn't cool paying six dollars for a balloon that wasn't delivered, it was the fact that this company was not only not apologetic about it, made no attempt to remedy it. I used them specifically as I wanted to support Local. Next time I will go through Hy-Vee.

We got 1 bartender for 112 guests and there was never a long wait, the bartender was extremely friendly and kept everyone very pleased! With a twist was also very flexible with the mixer juices we wanted at the wedding and bottom line- it saved A LOT of money to hire a bartender and buy our own booze. They even send you a neat cheat sheet that tells you how much alcohol to buy for the size of your wedding. We went to Costco and spent less than $500 for 112 guests! Absolutely worth it, would highly recommend!
