TL;DR - Big venue, fantastic food, great drinks, friendly service.
Came here on a Saturday lunchtime looking for somewhere new. It's a very short walk from Piccadilly train station but is a little off the beaten track. Were it not for the security staff on the entrance, you could easily walk past and not realise there's a venue here.
As you enter there's a cheeky faux convenience store on your left, but turn right and go in through the main entrance. This place is BIG. The main venue is built around a large bar, but there's also outdoor seating and a separate, larger beer hall behind the main space. I understand they do entertainment here at night, but when we were there it was fairly quiet and just doing food and drinks.
We grabbed a table and were served by the super friendly and helpful Kate. When we weren't sure which beer to order, she brought us a little sample to try which helped make up our minds. We ordered some pizzas to go with - these were absolutely wonderful... the base is somewhere between the neopolitan style you get at places like Rudy's and something a little more susbstantial. Whatever they did to make it, it was delicious.
Overall vibe was relaxed, attentive service without being pushy, reasonable prices and chill background music. Definitely somewhere we'll be coming back to. read more
