Super burger? Superbude!
This little gem is actually really hard to find (no really, we drove past it twice!), but finding a parking spot (on the weekend) was really easy, as this is located in the middle of a residential area. If you're standing in front of a door with a sign saying something about Chuck Norris, then you're definitely in the right spot! Just step in!
The place itself has its very own kinda flair, a mix between hipster and your-grandma-kinda-vintage style. It looks a bit like they found all the bits and pieces in a thrift store, but they tell me that's the way things are supposed to look nowadays, so who am I to argue?
The burger: You can chose between a variety of different burgers, e.g. normal hamburger, cheeseburger, one with an egg, another called "Funky Schäufele", although I have no clue what to expect there...it's supposed to be good though.
The burger itself is nice and juicy, you could see that the patty was not a preformed frozen, but a freshly made one - so definitely a bonus there- but it seems to be a bit of a luck thing getting what you ordered, as I ordered my meat well done, and received exactly that, but my burger-partner ordered well-done and received one that was still slightly bloody in the middle. Nevertheless, very tasty, fresh toppings, but the bun was a tad too dry for my taste.
As a side order you can chose between fries, so called "Aromakartoffeln", and some other stuff. Everything was homemade, the fries were crisp and fresh - but if you get to order the Aromakartoffeln, do so! They are definitely something different and remind you of the homemade stuff your mum used to make - yum!
Bottom line:
- Small but cozy shop
- Good burgers
- Great side orders
- looking for the best burger place in town, this is definitely part of your road! read more
