The service mostly and and management back in 2020 my family and I were accused of stealing a whole bunch of coats out of dicks by the manager because he put us with a group of black women just because we are black. Long story short, we went to another store and start to head home when we were pulled over by the police on the coldest day of the year they made us get out of our vehicle on the side of the road while they search for stolen jackets in our vehicle, which they found nothing. We asked the officer who made the statement that we shoplift a bunch of jackets and they said that we have to talk to the management cause they made the call and reported it. So ever since then we refuse to shop there, I gave it to the management that 2020 was a hard and difficult time to shop in stores, but you shouldn't racially profile people and put them in groups just because they're the same race do better. read more

I've popped into this Dick's location a few times to check out a whole variety of things. New loungewear to work in, pricing out treadmills and other workout equipment, and of course grabbing a gift for the golfer dad in my life. Staff is always friendly and courteous, though check in can move slow and is a tad clunky. The layout of this location is super wide and sprawling, and allows you to see where you're going, unlike the two story situation at Marketplace Mall. Im giving a 5 star for the first time for this location. Normally shopping in here is hard and the employees unhelpful if not flat out ignoring. NOT TODAY. Juan uplifted this entire location with his kindness and patience in assisting me for cleats, socks and guards for a child that wasnt even mine. I brought him there to help a family that obviously couldnt afford to buy what he needed and I didnt know his foot size. neither did he because he is always in oversized hand me down shoes. He is also deaf and when Juan saw me having frustration he calmly and warmly took time to help my anxiety until we were able to figure everything out. Will ask for him every time I go there. To get to the point; Every time I go to this store there's always a store worker In a bad mood. I went to check the gun department, I asked for help, the worker behind the counter was in a bad mood. I asked to see a gun and the clerk told me ( are you gonna buy the gun) I told him,I just want to see it. After that I just left the place and took my business somewhere else. Honestly a awful experience the manager was so rude to me, I was exchanging my kayak paddle because the guy the day before gave me one that was to short. He made comments and rolled his eyes at me and then walked away. The front end associate didn't even know she could do the exchange because he didn't tell her. It's a decent place for your everyday excersize needs, but it can be an awkward shopping experience. The staff are knowledgable about their products and can offer advice, but the problem is finding them! The store is so large and filled with displays that I can't seem to find my way around. The floors are often dirty, and paths are blocked by boxes full of merchandise. However, I'd give it another try. read more

Just left the Dick's Sporting Good store in Webster. Can not say enough great things about Justin the manager and Matt Larwood, Lodge Associate. Matt spent well over an hour with us making sure the kayak our daughter picked out was the right one for her. Adjusted the petals. Made sure the paddle was the correct length for her. Gave her quite the safety lesson and explained the different life jackets and which one is appropriate for kayaking. He then instructed us how to attach the kayak to our vehicle. His instructions and tips were invaluable. Both Justin and Matt were courtesy, professional and knowledgeable. They certainly made our shopping experience a pleasurable one. Eleven though we live in Greece, the Webster store is now our "go to" store. We would highly recommend both of them and this Dick's to anyone. read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I've met only 2 workers who actually know what they are talking about and actually do it with a smile! Don't even think about asking for help in the shoe department! Even if you are lucky enough to find someone to help you, the probably won't know anything about what they are selling. After wasting over an hour trying to find a pair of sneakers and insoles, I got home to learn that the insoles are not meant to be in those shoes as the insoles that come with the sneakers were glued in, unlike the worker said! read more
