I'm not usually one to complain, but I had a job interview here and it was the most unprofessional experience I've ever had. I was called three times by someone named Morgan but she couldn't ever leave a voicemail so it was constant phone tag to even set up a phone interview. Anyway when I showed up to the interview I have a guy's name, but I'm a woman. When I showed up, the interviewer immediately said, "Sorry, you weren't what I expected," and flat-out told me she had been expecting a man. She then went on to say that I probably wouldn't even be considered for the position I applied for, but we could "talk about a different position" instead. On top of that, she made horrible eye contact throughout the entire interview. Honestly, thanks for wasting my time--this could have been cleared up over the phone if I wasn't qualified or wasn't going to be given a fair chance. Offering $15 an hour is already a joke for a college student, but now I'm left wondering: I guess a kinesiology student isn't qualified to work in the shoe department, or maybe she just only hires men.‍ She didn't even walk me out from the back room. Most awkward interview ever. Regardless, I would have liked to be given a fair interview before it was decided I wasn't qualified within in the first 2 seconds of meeting. I placed an online order with store pick up here on a Wednesday and came to pick up the item on Thursday morning. I used the online check in provided in the confirmation email and my Everlast Heavy Bag Stand came out in less than 5 minutes. Bought a $450 bat online and went it arrived they shippEd a cheaper bat. when talked with corporate office they were no help cause now they say the bat I originally paid for is out of stock and all they can do it refund my money for the wrong bat they sent me. never shopping here again!!!! read more

Clean, organized, and friendly cashier (believe the manager checked us out). I was hoping for all 3 since they just opened. Other staff around the floor seemed like they weren't interested in working there. Some of the shelves were not steady, it almost collapsed on us as we were getting an item. Perhaps too much stuff or the stuff was too heavy for the shelf. My sister was holding everything up and against the wall. I had to go get an employee before everything trampled on her. Luckily it wasn't me, it would have been bad since I had my son on me. Anyways, potential store. All other sporting goods seem to go out of business quick. I hope dicks is here to stay. read more

I visited Dick's Sporting Goods in Fairview Heights, IL in search of the Schwinn IC4 spin bike. Kurtis was extremely knowledgeable about this bike and was able to answer the many questions I had. He went above and beyond in customer service to help me purchase the IC4 Schwinn spin bike. (Just FYI the bike feels just like the bikes in my spin classes - I love it) I highly recommend buying here in Fairview Heights. He seems knowledgeable in all areas of the store. Double charged me and when I called the manager she had a serious attitude and refused to fix the situation after I offered to give my order number she had a very bad attitude about the situation and refused to listen and fix the situation... I am never shopping there again, however the sales staff were fantastic but the manager turned a small mistake by the cashier into an unfriendly situation. I had to call my credit card company to dispute the extra charges to remove it from my credit card... The manager was very ignorant and obscene for no reason.. read more

I would not recommend using Dick's baseball glove steaming service. I brought in my brand new custom glove to get it steamed and when I got it back it had a bunch of oil on it and the red leather had black all over it and the white stitching was grey and the red embroidering was blackish. And it was not even fully broken in after it was all done. I am extremely unhappy with the service. read more
