We were at a tournament near the Easton location and my daughters Mantra bat broke. We purchased the store warranty. I called the store in between games and customer service was absolutely amazing! They had the same bat, held it for us and the exchange was very easy-no hassle. We were able to return to the game. The two staff members were extremely friendly and just amazing! read more

Disappointed Shoppers... My wife and I are planning a three week trip to Montana this summer and wanted to purchase jackets and hiking boots for the trip. Wandered around the shoe department for 30 minutes looking for a salesperson to help us, we even went behind the curtains. After a while, we decided to leave as we felt that we were the only people in the store, and some trouble had happen to the staff. Leaving we saw two salespeople in the bike department having a pleasant conversation, we left disappointed and without jackets and hiking boots. read more

In July we purchased a pair of Under Armour football cleats for my son. During summer practices one of the wires near the heel came loose. It became so destructive to his heel that it caused him painful blisters. I brought the pair of cleats back to the Easton Store we purchase them from. The manager, the customer service rep at the counter and Flynn at the Pro Shop were so wonderful and helpful. I was in disbelief at how easy the whole process was. They returned and ordered us a new pair of cleats understanding that this shouldn't happen to a pair of quality cleats. Typical modern day big box retail experience where it pays to know exactly what you need and to need as little assistance as possible from what staff you can find. We needed two things: Sneakers and knee pads for volleyball. The section in the back where the sneakers are was overwhelmed with people all of whom needed size, color, style, fit, etc. assistance. Not the greatest when there was two employees and maybe around a dozen people all needing some type of help. The knee pads we had to find ourselves as the one guy we asked didn't have a clue and then disappeared to find someone who did and after a few minutes I assumed he wasn't coming back or that maybe he got deported? We found them eventually but of course a little assistance would have gone a long way to not having us circumnavigate the store twice as if we had a Magellan fetish. The other PIA is that the registers are backed up due to not having enough open, slow chip readers and spending too much time pushing their loyalty program. I get it's free but I still don't give a damn. We got what we needed but it took a looooooot longer than it should have. What a PIA. read more

SO LONG DICKS's. I've spent a lot of money in this store over the years. Four kids equals a lot of cleats, sneaks, balls, kayaks, tents, pads, socks- you name it. I always go online first and make sure I'm not driving 20 miles to be disappointed. There is occasional (sales)help but for the most part you are on your own. You had better know what you need and be adept at shoe finding and sizing. Last week I went in for a softball helmet and TWO of the clerks that I happen to get to help us couldn't find or advise about proper sizing. I went and found my daughter cleats and rummaged thru the inventory to find her size. I got in line to check out and Jen was my sales associate. I explained to her that I had a bag of 12 plastic balls purchased the week before that 4 split in half when hit by my 12 yo. I pulled the receipt and one of the broken balls out of my bag. Jen rolled her eyes and told me to come back with the rest. I explained that I live 20 miles away and had a receipt for the defective balls, "um I just told you that's not gonna be able to be returned. We need the whole pack." Really Dicks? Customer Service/Management couldn't do the math correctly to give proper refund and re-ring with price marked on the item. Classic rip-off scam for people who don't check receipts. Absolutely horrible business. Purchased a Bear Legit compound bow 10/8/21 around 6PM. 10/9/21 I bring said bow to an archery shop to get tuned (new to archery, don't know what I am doing yet). They look at it and let me know they can tune it, but it would be unwise, as the draw string is frayed at the peep sight. They let me know it is unsafe to use in its current state as it could just pop right at my eye, or anyone who was using it. I contact Dick's in Easton, let them know what was going on, and that I want to return the bow due to it having issues that could have potentially gotten someone pretty hurt. They said no due to their policy and to deal with the manufacturer. To me that's a "we don't care, we have your $450, and we don't want to help you, contact the manufacturer". Now I have a bow that I cannot use because of said issue until I contact Bear and go through a lengthy process to get it fixed. According to the 800 number for customer service, it's up to the store manager and their discretion to allow the return. Makes sense now, store manager doesn't want to be a decent person and doesn't care the store they manage sells defective product that could result in physical harm. I wasn't asking much, I am not asking for the world, just simply asked to return something defective. read more

They don't offer a large selection in the Track and Field shoe department. Very aggravated.

This store is great for buying most sporting items. They are always switching up the supplies depending on the seasons and the seasons of different sports. I am giving this store a poor rating due to the lack of professionalism here. The employees are rude, pushy, and not helpful. In the shoe department, they normally complain when they have to grab you multiple sets of shoes to try on and then tells you it looks good when it doesn't to get you to purchase them. Most of the time it takes a while for someone to help you find something or if you need help at customer services. Don't bother to ask for help, because you won't receive any. When checking out, they only have 1 or 2 registers open for a long line of people and they never call anyone to come open another one. Overall the store for supplies is great, but the employees are awful and clearly don't enjoy their job. read more

This is what Customer Service is all about! Dick`s in Easton Pa. gets it right! My girlfriend purchased a Horton Brotherhood Crossbow for my birthday this past January 2012. I didn`t shoot it until October of 2012. After shooting it approximately 25 times it literally blew apart!!! The bolt that actually holds the bow to the stock literally blew out of the stock!!! Pieces went everywhere & the scope (for whatever reason, whacked me in the eye!).......... Now I`m not writing this review to tell you about my experience with a Horton Brotherhood Crossbow (You be the judge of that!) I am writing to tell you about my EXCELLENT Experience at Dick`s Sporting Goods in Easton Pa.! Cameron, Josh & Chad were very helpful & very easy to work with when I explained how this crossbow blew up. Cameron & Josh are very honest, down-to-earth guys that were very respectful & truly concerned about what I had to say about this situation. Don't ever order online for in store pickup to this location. Last year we ordered a pop up tent. It was used and damaged. We of course found this out when we tried to use it at a soccer game. Second order they gave us the wrong color cleats. We ordered blue. They gave us black. Today I ordered shin guards. They gave us 2 lefts. I live 45 minutes away. I have bought more that a couple of bikes for my kids at dicks. All cost between $200-300. The wife's cost about $400. We alway bought the warrantee 2yrs. I turned my sons bike in on the weekend of the 4th of July. The wife went in on the 25th to pick it up. It is now the 3rd of August and we are torn it will be 10 to 15 more days before the parts come in. My son asks everyday for his bike. Dicks got my $50 for the warrantee. They won't fullfill their end. They promise fast and effortless service. I got niether. They feel they are with in their rights of service because they set no time expectations. 2 mos or longer is fine with them. Tell that to my 12yr. Old son. Never buying from dicks again. Though I don't shop Walmart they do have a better return policy. read more

Went to purchase adjustable dumbbells and waited 15 mins for someone to even ask if i needed help. I told them what i wanted to purchase and he said he would have it brought up right away. I gave my tennis racket for stringing on Nov 29 2016 (a Tuesday). Usually it takes about a week to be done. Since I visit the neighborhood only on Tuesdays, for the next 3 Tuesdays I called to check the status of my racket. I was told each time on phone it will be done the next day (as it was already on stringing machine) but the work was never completed. Today (Dec 27) I was finally told on phone it was done but when I reached the store it was still not done. It has been sitting on the stringing machine for at least 3 weeks. When I spoke to the manager in store (Sales Support Manager named Brian) he was completely condescending and did not care to understand why I was so frustrated with lack of service and communication. He kept asking if I told a manager before because apparently by his logic I should not trust his employees on phone. I have seen the service from Dicks go down considerably in last few years but this experience has turned me off from them completely. Last business this store will ever get from me.
