My experience with staff has always been welcoming and informative during my visits over the past few years with both buying and selling firearms and ammo. Store has plenty of stock to choose from and can also easily order items. Location has plenty of parking and is easily accessible for anyone with mobility issues. We're also grateful for their consistent support to the veteran community. We also enjoy the resident mascot dogs when they're around. :)

Besides being across the bridge I think this location is pretty easy to get to. They have a good amount of stuff you may not be able to find elsewhere and are helpful to locate it if they don't. FFL prices are on the front door which I love, I guess people often ask(: bonus perk there's a dog that they treat well and love, he knew the store better than I did!

I've been in Quest probably a dozen times to look around but I've never spent any money there until…read morerecently. I'm currently preparing for a trip in late August so new hiking shoes and some specific pants were needed. I checked online and found the shoes I needed. I also knew they had a variety of pants to choose from so I figured I'd just browse while there. Since I need to try on at least one of those things, I decided to take a quest to Quest after work. As soon as I arrived at the shoe section, one of the workers asked me if I was looking for anything... I told her the name of the shoe and if they had a certain size. Boom! Got them. Tried them on. Done. It was the same with the pants. I've been updating a portion of my gear for this trip but I went ahead and decided to browse the store. While browsing the rest of the store, every section had an employee that asked if I was looking for anything. Super nice staff! I love that this store has a downstairs, upstairs, and middle floor. I do wish it was labeled a bit better. There are obvious sections but then there are other things just hanging out. It kind of encourages you to browse the store every time if you're looking for something specific. I guess that goes with the name... Quest. I'm only subtracting one star because of the prices. Some things I've found are cheaper in store than online while other things are more expensive than online. For that reason, Quest isn't the first thing that pops into my mind when I need new gear. Ultimately, I'm glad we have a shop like this in Louisville. It's handy to have if you need something specific for a trip and can't find the perfect item online.

Very unprofessional. When I checked out, the cashier, Vivian, was so hateful. She didn't smile, when I said thank you, she didn't say thank you, she moved at a snails pace and acted like I was interrupting her day and seemed resentful that she had to wait on me. She was a lot more concerned about her hair and nails than she was about doing her job. She had on a Zaxby's T-shirt so it would have been difficult to know that she was even an employee had she not been behind a register. This was my first visit to the store and I will never return.

Chances are they're going to have what you're looking for, and more than likely in stock. There are other outdoor lifestyle chains out there, but none that measure up to the outdoor/wilderness environment that Cabela's has. From its rustic, natural(ish) décor to the outdoor displays to wildlife exhibits, you really do get that "I feel like I'm out in the woods" vibe. While I've always been a fan of Cabela's, this summer we found that they carry my absolute favorite line of bird seed. I'm a birder and feed 6 to 8 different types of feed in my back year nearly year round, and the fact that they have my favorite brand (Harvest brand bird feeds), but A) in multiple varieties and 2) IN STOCK immediately made this my go-to place when I need bird seed. We used to have to visit 3 or more retail outlets to find what I needed, but not any more. The staff has been mostly cool when we've visited. One time we had a cashier named John (as I recall) who didn't care that we were there or not...we were obviously interrupting whatever he was doing on his phone. Everyone else we've encountered has been awesome.
