I love DICK'S! Dicks is a sport store where you'll find a little bit of everything you'd need for camping, fishing, and outdoor gear in general. They have surfboards, kayaks, bikes, and even archery bows as well. They have some great brands such as Nike, Adidas, Billabong, Columbia, Reebok, Quicksilver, and more. I usually buy my stuff online, but once in a while I stop by the store to see what I can find and they usually have fun stuff. All that stuff is fun to look at, but the real deal is to buy online. If you sign up for their email club you'll get weekly deals that are online only and will save you a lot of money. If you download their app and pair it with the health app on iPhones it'll give you 3 points per every 3 miles you walk/run a day. Once you get 300 points they'll send you a $10 gift card you can use however you'd like. I  went to purchase a bag that was labeled with a black dot and priced at 14.97 when I went to the register it rung up at 7 something. I showed the tag and the advertised pricing. A member of management came by and told me that I was wrong and the pricing was correct even though I showed her the tag and advertised labels. She would not respond to me and proceeded to pull out her mobile device and walk away. The customer service was the worst I have experienced in a long time. On top the cashier had his mask below his chin when I approached This was at 12:50pm on May 21st. I am going to make sure this is Yelped and reviewed on all review sites I regularly use. The store itself is great and has the largest selection of baseball attire!! Just DO NOT go into restroom! See this. I shared with the M.O.D and being male he wouldn't know what the female restroom looked like. He said the cleaning g crew comes before they open each day, however obviously they need shift clean ups hourly. You need to do much better!! I saw mom struggling with their kids in this filthy rest room. 4 of the 7 stalls not functioning and sink not working and trash! Gross!! read more

I came into this location after work today looking for a NorthFace backpack for an upcoming trip. I walked in and noticed they were having renovations done and things seemed very slow in the store,so I figured things may be a little chaotic with having inventory readily available. I was helped by a very nice sales associate who called for help over the walkies and the manager on duty, Greg, told her there was no possible way for her to go an look in the back for me although the associate was willing to assist me with finding what I was looking for. Greg's response definitely wasn't what kind of customer service I was expecting especially which such low customer traffic in the store. I definitely wish he would have been willing to be of service to customers wanting to shop in his location. read more

I guess people don't believe in customer service anymore. I walked by 3 employees and not one greeted me. When I was looking at the wall for a shoe no one approached me. I ordered to try on a shoe at the kiosk, since no one has yet approached me and one employee dropped off the box and went about her way. The same employee was able to greet the family that was in the same area, but I didn't get that same treatment minutes before. She never came back to me after I tried the shoe on. I am in the market for buying new shoes, but if your establishment can't show (at least) good customer service to EVERYBODY, I won't spend my money there. read more

My boyfriend and I went to this Dick's today and I left completely flabbergasted. There was a coupon on the dick's website for 30% off fan gear. Before even approaching the counter, I checked online to make sure the coupon worked on the jerseys we were looking at. I then went and asked if they took the coupon in store and the person at the cashier asked a manager in the back and returned with a yes. We got our jerseys and went to the same cashier. We presented the coupon and the manager, Tony, took my phone to look. He started clicking around on MY phone without asking. I told him that I did verify the coupon online and he said that he has to check anyway (which is totally understandable). But with it being my phone that has my credit card and person information on, he could've given it back so I could pull it up. OR he could've just done it on their computers. After about 5 minutes of him clicking around on my phone, I told him I could just pull it up. Tony, who was on the right of the counter (my left facing them) next to the cashier, then THROWS my phone and it hits the receipt printer and falls into the area between the printer and the computer. My boyfriend frantically reaches for my phone and is obviously very concerned about potential damages to my new iPhone Xs (he verbally expressed it out loud). The manager, Tony, doesn't say a word and doesn't even seem like he cared that that happened. My pink apple silicone case is scratched on the bottom (which I'll attach a picture). I just cannot believe that Tony who is an adult AND A MANAGER would do such a thing. He is a poor representation of any form of customer service as well as for the company of Dick's Sporting Goods. I just hope that he is able to read this and know that is it NOT ok to treat anyone and their belongings that way. read more

The place is huge they have pretty much whatever you are looking for. The customer service is horrible though. I asked for assistance with a punching bag, waited 15-20 minutes. The employee never came back, then asked the store manager for help and was told a store employee would be assist Ing us. No one ever came so we left. I ordered some shoes from this store and they sent me used shoes. I'm kind of at a loss for words because they didn't even try to hide the fact that the shoes had been used. They didn't bother to try and repackage the shoes. I'm not sure whether I'm more upset that they didn't cover up the problem or that they didn't even care. My orthopedic physician recommended I purchase a specific type of insole for my shoes (Superfeet) to alleviate pain and medical issues and suggested I go to Dick's to buy these inserts. My spouse and I went and visited the store and upon arriving at the shoe section, found that there were multiple varieties of these. We looked around for a while before we could find a sales person to help us. But the young guy knew nothing and was not interested in trying to help us figure it out. So we asked if there was someone else who might know a bit more about shoe type issues? So we waited for 5-10 more minutes until someone else finally came over. He picked up the flip book to show us the info in there, which was in plain sight and we'd read...but he didn't know anything more than that. There wasn't a manager in the store and no one seemed to care that we had some questions about the products. So we left. The "sales" people weren't interested in selling anything at all. They could not have cared less whether we purchased the inserts or not. They resumed laughing and talking with one another over helping another couple who was trying to flag them down. I would NOTTTTT recommend Dick's to anyone. I'd go to Academy or better yet, to The Big Peach, any day! read more

I would give it a 0 Stars... I came in to buy some baseball cleats for a game I have after work. I thought I could come in and try a few on and get a pair during my lunch break... I was wrong. I asked to see 4 shoes in a size 10. (Not a crazy request) and the girl took 15 mins each time she checked just to tell me that she didnt have that size. The absolute worst smelling bathrooms I've ever been in in my life!! I thought old run down gas stations in rural Alabama were bad. Those have nothing on Dick's bathroom. I read previous reviews about customer service, and I am kind of sad but kind of glad that it's not just me. I came in knowing exactly what I needed, and I knew that it was in stock in this store because the website indicated so. I generally like to try to find things myself before seeking out help, but if someone were to come up to me and ask if I needed assistance, I would have accepted. I walked around for about 15 minutes looking for the item, and no one ever asked me if I needed anything. Finally I got to the point where I knew I needed to ask, and I spent another 5-10 minutes just trying to find someone - anyone - who worked there. I finally found someone, and he sent me to one department. I couldn't find it, so I started my search again for someone else who might know where it was. Finally found someone, who also didn't know where it was and who asked someone else on his radio (note that this is NOT an obscure item!). I was sent to a different department where I still couldn't find it. I finally found someone who DID know where it was and who walked me over to it. He was really nice and seemed a bit more knowledgable about the store than everyone before him. Overall, the store is beautiful, and it's fun to walk around and look at all the gear that's not in my budget. I just spent WAY too much time doing so. There should be employees out offering assistance, employees should be more visible for those who do need it, and it shouldn't take 4 employees to finally get someone who knows where something is. read more

Much appreciation to Richard in bicycle repair! He did an amazing job of taking care of my granddaughter's bike that was purchased at the Morehead City, NC location just 2 weeks earlier. The bike has had issue after issue. Richard took care of each one .. corrected an improper assembly of the rear breaks, adjusted the hand breaks, tightened the chain guard, the handlebars that was loose, repaired 1st gear as the chain was not moving into gear correctly. He then tightened everything on the bike. Without Richards care and taking pride in his job, my grand would have at some point would have gotten hurt due to poor assembly. I visited Dick's Sporting Goods at the Mall of Georgia on Thursday, June 2nd. It was morning and they weren't too busy. I was looking for a particular item and needed help finding it. I saw a gentleman wearing a ear piece which led me to believe he worked there. I said "excuse me" but evidently he did not hear me and walked on past. I went upstairs looking for someone to help me. I saw the same gentleman once again and when I walked towards him he walked away. I then went to the "golf" department where I saw two men behind the counter. One seemed to be training the other so I waited patiently in front of them but they totally ignored me. I gave up and walked out of the store. I have purchased from this store before and have a store card. Very disappointed by "no customer service". read more

One person did at least get me to the area I was looking for a Riddle product- and said they only have NIKE for 40%more and 2 racks down- all Ridell. Almost like selling up! WHATEVER IT IS, YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO FIND IT HERE! This store is so huge that I just couldn't deal. I wanted to look for a Christmas gift but when I realized that I would have to go downstairs, (after traipsing the mall and perusing upstairs), I couldn't handle it. They have hunting gear and bikes upstairs but I think that they should place those items downstairs and in the back of the store like other Dick's stores. If you are visiting this store, I suggest you wear sneakers and come with a list so that you can shop quickly and efficiently. This store is well stocked for the outdoorsman and anyone who enjoys sports and fitness. They can outfit you for every activity and sport. Went in with my mom and dad who don't speak English well to look in the golf section. Saw a set of golf clubs that My mom wanted to purchase and was told it was not in stock for right handed people. I asked if he could help me order it from another store online and he told me to do it on my own computer at home. He then walked to the aisle where he stood standing and watching others walk by. The manager however did her best to help me. The guy lied to his manager and said he "went to see if he could find it online and add it to his cart". I have read other reviews about the golf section being racist and I might have experienced just that. read more

To sum up my experience, I went here with girlfriend to buy a punching bag since I box. I am 19 but look 25. I hit the bag only two times just to see if the bag suited me. Along comes an employee. Hoping to get a "Hi, is there anything i can help you with?" But, NOPE! Instead, I get a welcoming "So, your parents just drop you guys off over here to play with the equipment? How old are y'all? 15? 16? Get out of here. This isn't a daycare, Needless to say I told him calmly "Im actually 19 and was looking to buy a new punching bag and gloves. But, not anymore. I'm a gear hound so by default, I'm a fan of Dick's Sporting Goods. This is as much of a vent about my experience yesterday as it is a review of the overall mega-stores putting the squash on the little business guy. I went in to buy new running shoes and the stuff that these kinds of stores do well, Dick's does well. The selection and prices were both very good. Where they continually lose me is with the service. I was there at an off time (2:30pm) and they were not particularly busy but there was nobody helping any of the customers so we started to que up. One gentleman was substituting from the golf department and was obviously frustrated with the customers for all wanting him to get us different sizes to try on. He mentioned on numerous occasions that this "wasn't his department" and would ask "are you sure you want to try a 12?" implying that if you were wrong about your size, there was gonna be trouble. When the young lady from the shoe department did show up, the gentleman immediately tapped out even though there were still a few customers that were waiting to be helped. The young lady took up where he left off with the frustrated tone and over aggressive demands that we be patient since she was the only one there. I obviously picked the wrong time to mix in some sarcastic humor as my offer to go back and retrieve my own shoes was retorted with a snippy "just wait sir, I'll get to you". I was buying a brand of shoe that obviously runs very small and while I normally wear an 11.5 in Nike, the Sauconys that I was trying on took me up to a 13 to Finally get a good fit. Requesting 3 different sizes from the young lady did not go over well. When I sent the 11.5 and 12's back for 13s...I got a huge eye roll and something muttered under her breath that I couldn't make out but have to assume that it something to do with my not having any idea how big my feet were. Selection and price are solid, fix your customer service issues and I'm a fan...continue to leave me feeling like I've done something wrong by asking your folks for assistance and I'll find somewhere else to go. read more

Bought a GT Aggressor Pro MTB at Dicks on 5/1/22. My son rode the bike around the store and said it checked. At that point the bike attendant does a check out on the bike. When we got home the gears wouldn't shift properly. My son said it worked fine in store. Had to take it to my neighbor who works on bikes and he adjusted the gears. Strike 1. Two days later on 5/3/22 my son goes to ride the bike and the front tire has no air. We do the spray test with soapy water and find a small hole in the tire. I call Dicks and they say without the extended warranty(extra purchase) they can't help. Take it to neighbor and he patches the tube. Strike 2. Yesterday 5/12/22 the front tire has no air again. Take it to neighbor and it seems the Presta valve stem is bent on front tire and possibly leaking air. He suggests just getting new tires and tubes from Walmart. Spend additional $60 at Walmart for two new tires and tubes. His previous Diamondback did not have any of these issues and was riding it on same trail as GT. For a $500 bike I wouldn't spend $100 on it. No value!! Also, making me pay for a extended warranty to cover manufacturers defect or crappy tires does not sit well with the customer. I will never buy another thing from Dicks. Go to Academy, Walmart, REI, or a local bike shop. read more

Walked in the the store looking some cold weather apparel and found not much. Swooped over to the bike section and picked up a bike inner tube. Proceeded to one of the many cashiers on the second floor an was promptly told that only the first floor were in operation. Being Super Bowl Sunday the first floor was backed up out the door. He apologized for the stupidity of it all, we then dropped our would be purchases and left. read more

Disaster. They are under-staffed, especially on weekends. The store is disorganized and confusing-not very intuitive, and maze-like trying to navigate. The children's soccer equipment area was in shambles which is more on the shoppers for being trashy and irresponsible, but if there was sufficient staffing, it could be managed. I don't know how their prices compare but the experience was misery. I hope to never have to return. read more

I brought my son into the store today to purchase soccer cleats for his practice tomorrow. The girl in the shoe section would disappear for 15 mins each time she went in the back to look for our size and would come back without what we asked for. We also had some issues finding a wide enough shoe for my son and none of the associates seemed very interested in assisting with guidance. Once I finally complained, one associate offered to help but once he brought out a pair of shoes he then proceeded to have a conversation with another customer about football. Since it was clear we were not going to get any one on one assistance we decided to leave the store, but not before speaking with the manager. I explained the situation to her and she commented that there was only one girl in the shoe department, and that sometimes they get busy (it's 7:30pm on a Tuesday btw). She offered to help us if we came back (had to leave to pick up my daughter) but I think we'll just find another store. After seeing the other reviews I see I'm not alone in my experience with this location. read more

I would give them 4 stars, but Mall of Georgia is just an ungodly crush at most times and I hate going there. This is balanced by the fact that the place is absolutely huge - it's the former Galyan's location, and is about double the size of your average REI or Sports Authority. Actually it's really a combination of both stores, one on each floor of the two story building. Selection of camping gear is not as good as REI, but the ability to shop both sports and camping items is nice. Their prices and brands are not as high-end as REI, but they do have good sales and lower prices. Don't plan on getting any knowledgeable help, as that's pretty scarce in Buford, period. But if you know what you're after, Dick's is an alternative. And REI is across the street as your fallback, in case Dick's lives up to their namesake. read more

Ever receive an email from Dicks stating $20 off of $100 but be sure to read the exclusion list. Well they list everything any reasonable sports active person would want to purchase. This company has no clue about customer loyalty and how to keep it. I will continue to shop elsewhere. read more
