Really like the pulled pork. Comes on bun with onion and pickle. I've eaten here numerous times. Waffle fries are good also. And the BBQ sauce is pretty good too. Good sweet tea. Not sure if they have pork ribs at this one but the one in Jackson, Ms does. They were pretty good. Brisket was pretty dry though.

Lazy. Can't even put cheese and chives on the baked potato casserole. Thanks for the $4 cup of mashed potatoes.

First I have to say it's clean, quick & friendly service. However the BBQ was dry (even with sauce!)..not tender, & the sides food-servicey!

04/22/26 This visit…read moredid not disappoint. We live in Florida and first visited Vicious Biscuit (the original location) quite a few years ago while on vacation. They opened one in Florida and when we visited we were just not as impressed and decided we probably wouldn't go back unless it was the original one. While on vacation again, we noticed Vicious Biscuit on the map and decided to give it another try. I'm so glad we did because the food was spot on and delicious. I got the Vicious and my husband got the Flame Thrower. The biscuits are buttery, flaky, and flavorful. Both of ours came with a cheddar jalapeño biscuit and they were exactly as we had remembered when we visited the OG Vicious Biscuit. The chicken, the cowboy candy, and gravy on mine were perfect. The chicken, cowboy candy, and candied bacon on my husband's were equally excellent. Great job on making us wanting to visit again! Vicious Biscuit is once again a stop we'll be looking for on our next road trip!

I ordered the egg white omelette a couple times and each time it was really good! The pico de gallo on top was fresh and complemented the avocado. I The potatoes were also seasoned really well too. My husband had the keto bowl more than once as well so, you know he enjoyed it. The restaurant is cute and modern. They get busy really fast of the weekend so, we just preferred to order takeout in advance. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm staying in the area.

Strick's has been around for years and is so close to the USM campus that both students and locals keep it going. In addition to various smoked meats they also have some seafood and other menu items like crawfish and poboys. Last time I was there, my wife and I shared some Swap Nachos and it was amazing. They take regular nachos with cheese, then cover it when fried shrimp, then ladle a healthy portion of gumbo over the top to add more shrimp and also sausage. It's so incredibly good with how all the flavors blend together, and quite large. My go-to order and most BBQ places is a combo of brisket and pulled pork, and Strick's does it right. The meat is flavorful with a great bark, plus they have three signature sauces to kick them up if needed. They have various standard sides like baked beans, coleslaw, potato salad, and more. Also included is a mini muffin of cornbread, and I always get the jalapeno cheese option. The inside of this place is decorated with a lot of old signage and has a very country feel that perfectly fits the laid back atmosphere and food. You can refill your own drink, which is nice, and their sweet tea is excellent.

This place ended up being our choice and no regrets on that. Alexandra did an amazing job explaining the menu and also being patient with our lack of decision making. LOL. We ended up ordering two burgers as the place is named after burgers and blues (nice to hear a Muddy Waters tune coming by as well) - both Bourbon and Downtown burgers were delicious, had a REAL angus Pattie (and that was appreciated by our tastebuds), a nice bun that could be compacted to edible proportions (we have seen way a lot worse in our lives) and all the fixings were fresh. Oh yes, we added an order of fried pickles but did not expect a full-size order, still yummy but hard to stop.... lastly, we ordered the fried apple pie and a coffee to hold us over. Success on that one, that cake is downright dangerous as you cannot eat stop eating it. TOP stuff. Ambiance? It's a burger place in a medium size town and it delivers exactly that, none of the foo foo, but very honest. Great staff, very personable and courteous. 10/10.

We had the hamburger steak, baked beans, Cole slaw, salad, fries, chicken tenders and hamburger. All were delicious and very generous servings. For those with food allergies: I didn't ask about frying foods so my son with seafood allergies didn't have their fries. They do have fried shrimp and some other seafood items and my son didn't want to risk it or make it a big deal. A lot of their snacks in the shop did have nuts. I also didn't ask about a military discount because I was happy to support this Christian America loving small business.

I had the fried chicken (breast and wing) bbq beans, mashed potatoes with gravy, and a jalapeños corn bread muffin. The chicken was over cooked (all it was missing was a belt buckle). Wasn't impressed with my jalapeños corn muffin dried, bbq beans were good with lots of flavor the mashed potatoes could've used a little more gravy. This is self serve you ordered picked it up, got your own utensils and drinks. This a cute country store and restaurant with a garden center. Needless to say this wasn't the experience we were expecting not sure if we'd return to dine there again
