Such a bummer. I was so excited about the program when they told me they would work with Tolly for…read morea whole year if need be, but when I asked them about the program...how many sessions, etc they started saying things like "We won't know until we meet the dog". Ok, well that makes sense so how about you come meet my dog then tell me about the program. No go. They want money upfront and will not tell you anything about how many times a month they'll be working with you and your pooch. I even asked "So you are saying you may only see my dog two times in tehwhole year?" Then they started getting snarky. See below...

Do not waste your money! Bark Busters is a scam. I'm not even sure the trainers are well trained. I…read moreadopted a dog, a mix husky/pit bull who's been abandoned by previous owner and was found on the streets of Seattle. Not sure of my dog's background but he clearly has PTSD. He's aggressive towards other dogs and he's protective of food. Jordan recommended we use one of Bark Busters's harness which I paid a fortune for it but since my dog's behavior was not improving, he then recommended we use a prong collar as my dog is quite strong due to his mix breeds. At first, it worked since my dog got hurt every time he would try lunging at other dogs. But he got used to the collar. His pain tolerance is quite high as he's mainly husky. But after a while, my dog had even more aggressive behaviors and he got very frustrated at me while walking, jumping on me. He also started getting into this trance when he was seeing or even just smelling another dog. When in trance, I couldn't touch him or he would try to bite me. I made a lot of research and in fact prong collars shouldn't be used with dogs with PTSD. It makes their anxiety and fear even worse. I wasn't keen on using a prong collar in the first place but I thought Jordan knew what he was doing. Also, I paid for a year long training and he ghosted me after 6 sessions inventing those weird excuses like having driven on a dead body on the freeway so his car got damaged hence he couldn't come. I've always found the Bark Busters' pricing strange and I should have read reviews before but I was desperate to find a solution for my dog so I paid $1095. I got 6 sessions so at least Jordan didn't ghost me after the 1st session but I can't even say I learned anything and for sure Jordan worsen my dog's behavior so please, don't bother. Think about the Bark Busters' pricing. You pay for 1 year or for a lifelong training. The amount for a year is in the end not that expensive if the trainer comes every 2 or 3 weeks. So how can the trainer earn money? How can he live if you only pay $1095 for a year? Well, the trainer has to ghost you in order to get more clients and continue earning money. Jordan will ask you to grunt at your dog (I'm still not convinced it works and that there is science behind it) and to spray water at your dog but none of these work. Go to your vet and ask for recommendations. Or go to a place that people you know recommended.

Rather than focusing on training the dog himself, he teaches YOU how best to work with your dog to get the results you are seeking! And i really feel that he gets to know your dog and how it communicates and behaves and works based on that, instead of having a one size fits all approach. I really can't say enough how much i appreciate and believe in how he works , and i am SO thankful. Peppy was a very anxious rescue when i got him, and with some super simple exercises and trust built through Eric's methods, im now giving him haircuts and working up to nail trims, his recall was non existent before and now he comes right away most of the time, and he even was able to do a couple flights with me with minimal issues. A+++++ service!! Thank you Bridge the Bark!!!

We came to Andrea with zero outdoor recall and no leash manners whatsoever. A few sessions in and we're already seeing major improvement thanks to Andrea teaching us about whistle training, trying different tools, teaching us commands that work with my dog's (very busy) brain, and making sure we're balancing his physical exercise with mental stimulation. Today at the park, my dog came when called on the whistle every time I called him. Yesterday, we took a 20 minute loose-leash walk... these things was unimaginable two months ago when we first met with her. Andrea is empathetic, patient, realistic and relatable. No shaming here. We have met with three other trainers, two of them insisting that my dog was "too far gone", one refusing to work with him-- not the case with Andrea. She has brought me so much hope and has significantly improved my relationship with my challenging dog. I can't wait to keep working with her to see how much more progress we make.
