After the mishap with my rings I spoke with Jenny, the owner of Diamonds Forever, who explained that there had been some mis-communication about the sizing, cost and timing, and she offered to size the rings for free. She also explained that the store is taking steps to prevent this from happening again. I really appreciated her personal follow up and knowing that Jenny and her staff are working to avoid this sort of thing in the future. Overall I give Jenny 5 stars for her follow up and the steps she took to help rectify the situation but think it's fair to post an "averaged" rating. It was apparent from the start (based on other reviews of the store) that the type of situation I experienced is not a common one from Jenny and her staff. Excellent customer service! I went in for insurance appraisals for a few items and rather than just take my money they suggested I call my insurance company to find out their appraisal policy. I found Diamonds Forever in an odd way. I live in OB and needed a new watch battery. Driving to Fashion Valley and paying $25 was out of the question. I did a search and found these guys. I walked in and Ben hooked it up in a flash. I think it was only $5 or $10, too! Fast forward, I bought a new watch that needed some links removed. Well, I knew where to go without having to use Google this time. I walked in and Jenny pointed me in the direction of the Link Master, Amy. What could have taken 20 minutes to do was completed in less than 5. I was wearing the original watch that I got the battery for. It has always been a little big, so I asked Amy if there was a special deal if I got a second watch worked on. She quickly replied that they have a "2 for 2" special. She was so fast and natural that I didn't' even get the joke. Still, the joke was very well played; so, I took advantage of the "amazing" special and got the second watch hooked up, too. All told, I was in the store for less than 10 minutes, got TWO watches hooked up for about $20, had a few laughs, and confirmed that this is the best place to go in OB/Point Loma (probably the whole city for that matter) if you have ANY jewelry needs. read more

The only way I can explain how much I truly appreciate Jenny is to relay my story. Being a floral designer in the wedding industry has allowed me to see hundreds of engagement rings... but when it came time to choosing my very own... I found it quite frustrating. I've never bought much jewelry in me life so I wasn't sure what to look for when I was getting my engagement ring for my then girlfriend. Thanks to the Diamonds Forever team, they helped educate me initially, then helped me find an affordable diamond in my price range and put it all together in time for me to propose on my trip overseas to Japan. Fast forward almost a year later, it was time for me to get my wedding band that I had been procrastinating. I wasn't sure what metal I wanted and thanks to their large selection, I was able to try on all the various types (white gold, platinum, tungsten, etc). I selected cobalt and they got it ordered/made for me in a few days. I was still unsure when I got it and they told me to take it home to try it out. My experience working with Jenny and Amy at Diamonds Forever was really great! I went in a couple of times with my boyfriend before picking out/setting up the engagement ring I wanted. The ladies were always patient in letting me try on every setting (most of them about 10 times) and helped me to select the perfect center stone. After getting the finalized ring, we ordered and waited.. unfortunately when the ring was built I felt that there were a few discrepancies between the ring I had picked out and the finalized product. After sitting on the idea of returning it for about a week, I finally went in and voiced my concerns to Jenny. She handled the situation with such professionalism and understanding.
