SHOW ME THE MONEY!!!…read more Who would have ever thought that a tiny little shack of a building on South Kingshighway would be the best place to sell your old gold and sterling silver. It is such a small place that I actually passed it twice before realizing which building it was. Once you are inside, you'll realize there are no thrills here, it is strictly business. You're there to sell and they're buying. No need for a fancy store. For security you'll be buzzed in or the big burly security guard will open the door. When it is your turn, you'll show them what you have to sell and they will test it, separate by k count and type of metal. Next they'll compute the figures and tell you a shocking $ amount. I got double of what I was anticipating and they pay cash on the spot. Raymond F. is right, they pay better then their competitors in the city and county. When selling precious metals it is always better to shop around, but KSDK got that consumer report right. The only negative and I will not subtract a star for it, is the location. When I left, I walked out alone and was approached by a street person. I just quickly got in my car before he could get closer and kept telling "no" to his request. If you hit a big pay out, ask if the guard can walk you back to your car. So clean out those jewelry boxes and china cabinets and you too will be saying the classic line from Jerry McGuire, "Show me the money".

HORRIBLE! My son bought an engagment wedding ring for his fiance almost a year ago. She passed away…read morein March of this year. They paid 500.00 dollars which was ALOT for them. He went to have it appraised and was told it was shit. At the time he paid 500 bucks for it he was told it was high quality diamond. After being told it was crap he went to Southside just to see what theyd say. Sure enough they said the best they could do was 70 bucks! My son then produced his receipt from Southside . They did not care, it was simply oh well! After the horrible grief hes had to deal with some kind of compassion would have been nice. These people are not reputable. I understand " buyer beware", i understand gold/ silver/ diamond prices go up and down, but in a year this ring isnt even worth 70 bucks? Shame on them for adding more sadness to his life! Just awful!!!!!! ZERO STARS IF I COULD!

The woman who works there and challenged me in saying that. I mean, I grew up in NYC, and really, who would forget opening up one of those beautiful turquoise boxes? It was not a dupe from my parents. Regardless, I was told it would be purchased. More than 90 minutes later, I was told I could have $40 for it. It weighs 1.5 oz, and market rate is $48 an ounce , which would have been about $72. I was expecting to walk out with $55-$60. When I balked, Tom cursed a d said he didnt care if I didnt want to sell it and said a pawn shop would pay less. I chose not to go to a pawn shop. I went to what I believed was a fair business. Just be careful, because I met a lovely lady while waiting and she was there because his check to her didnt clear.
