    Unacceptable Customer Service from Stormclad In May 2023, I…read morehad Stormclad install a new front door for my home. While the door installation itself was satisfactory, I have encountered a major issue with the lock that has led to an extremely poor customer service experience. Approximately two months ago, in January 2024, the lock on the newly installed door stopped functioning properly. I promptly contacted Stormclad to report the issue and request service. Despite multiple attempts to reach them via phone and email over the past 10 weeks, the company has failed to respond or acknowledge my requests for assistance. The lack of any response from Stormclad regarding a defective lock on their recently installed product is unacceptable. As a paying customer, I expect a reasonable level of after-sales service and support, which they have failed to provide. While I have had a few relatively minor issues resolved satisfactorily with Stormclad in the past for previous door/window installations, their complete absence of any communication or customer service in this case is extremely disappointing and unprofessional. I am currently escalating this case through other channels, but I wanted to make Stormclad directly aware that this level of indifferent response to a product issue is detrimental to their reputation and will factor into my decision on whether to recommend or utilize their services again in the future. Please respond promptly with a proposed resolution for having the lock repaired or replaced. A 10 week period of complete unresponsiveness is unacceptable for an issue impacting the basic security and functionality of my home's entrance.

    Deposit lost Signed…read morea contract for a conservatory in December and paid a £2900 deposit. We were advised no planning permission was required. Following a survey it was discovered planning was needed and we were asked to pay another £500 for planning costs. The planning application came back in March with conditions attached. We didn't like the changes enforced as this wasn't what we agreed to when signing the contract so asked to cancel the contract. We were told we are only entitled to a £565.60 refund as the company have incurred sales, marketing and administration costs. We have lost £2834.40 through no fault of our own. We cannot have the specification we paid for and we cannot get our deposit back either. No materials have been ordered and we paid extra for the planning application. Had we have know this was the risk we were entering into when signing the contract we would never have paid over our deposit.

    An absolute shambles of a company with zero aftersales or customer care once they have your money…read more 12+ months on we still have unresolved issues (as do many other customers who have left reviews seemingly) & the MD just ignores messages or comes up with excuses blaming everyone but himself or his Company. Also please ignore any claims on their websites / documents that they are FENSA or Certass registered. The haven't been Fensa registered for some time despite our quotation & sales documentation saying they were, and 12+ months after installation they have just tried to issue us with Certass paperwork in the name of a different installer! Certass have advised us to go to Trading Standards and in the absence (again) of any response from the MD, that is what we shall now be doing. If the customer doesnt chase repeatedly, then nothing happens. The MD only seems to react to customers personally when they post a negative review, and judging by the comments of other customers, has offered resolutions to others if they will take their reviews down! We have put off posting a review for some time as the promises kept coming, but as they consistently fail to be delivered now is the time for our review to be uploaded, as potential customers of theirs need to know what they are walking into. Henry, the technician, is fantastic as are a couple of other staff but the overall Management / organisation of the Company is a joke. If you are fortunate and your product has no issues post-install then you are likely to see good reviews left, but if you have any aftersales issues then I (& clearly others who have posted on various sites with similar experiences) can only make you aware that it is then likely to become a lengthy, frustrating, headache-inducing process to try to get any issues resolved.

    This is a first class place to go for windows and doors …read more We have had a large project completed by Basfords which is on their Instagram page the farm house one. . We have used before Covid on another project which was really difficult ( large sliders and arched windows on a mill ) again they were excellent. Keep up the good work in these challenging times we will use again . Chris .
