Terenzini Law LLC - Family law attorney Eden O. Terenzini

STAY AWAY! Please do not trust her and lose hundreds of thousands of dollars like I did!…read more Eden is an untrustworthy and unreliable lawyer. After my divorce, she told me she filed my QDRO. After 8 months of calling, emailing and trying to reach her without any response from her, I went to check at court. It turned out, my QDRO was not filed. When I finally was able to get in touch and ask her why, she had no answer. When she finally filed the QDRO, even more months later, she made several mistakes - including spelling my name wrong and putting the wrong address when I had been working with her for years already and she had the correct info. She also changed the language of the order, unneccessarily and incorrectly to the judges orders/decisions. Due to her extreme delays and changes, I lost, literally, hundreds of thousands of dollars. If she had just told me from the beginning, she would not be able to do QDRO, I would have happily found someone else. I even asked her if that would be preferred. Instead she took the job and money just to fail and make this process so much more painful. I could never recommend her.

I am currently deployed and living overseas and I was given a referral by our legal support…read moreofficers through LifeCare as someone who can create a document I needed. She agreed to the terms and the time frame I needed it. I've had referrals from LegalAid LifeCare before and they all went well, however, this was a nightmare. I honestly wished I had read reviews on her before making that retainer payment. Before paying her, she replied to my emails and picked up a call the same day or the next day. After paying her, it took over a week, and no response to questions and concerns. Up until now, she hasn't finalized my documents. I paid $750 for it, and I haven't heard from her for over a week. She sent me a draft and asked me to review it and reach out if I have questions or concerns. Originally, she told me she would draft her own because a similar copy of the document I gave her doesn't meet the state of Maryland standard, however, the draft that she sent me was a modified copy of the document I initially gave her. Similar to other's review, she ignored my communications each time I reached out and so far haven't heard from her since October 27, 2023. It's like I don't even exist to her anymore since she already took my money without her service being completely rendered. During her virtual consultation, she appears to be such a great person and you end up being so comfortable enough to hire her and pay her but then the nightmare begins after you pay her. I have been treated the same way all the other reviewers have posted on Avvo, google, and such regarding her lack of communication and ignoring them for weeks, months, and so on. At this point, I am just fighting to get my money back. Her license to practice law should be revoked if she doesn't care about her clients after they pay her. It's like a money grab or quantity of clients over the quality of her service since she works alone. I have reported her to the Office of Bar Counsel and everyone else she has mistreated with her lack of customer service should do the same. It's not fair to pay all that money to be ignored and left hanging.

Kind, professional, extremely competent, a pleasure to work with Mindy. Thanks for all your help…read morein preparing my brother's trust.

There aren't enough superlatives in the dictionary to describe the professionalism, ethics,…read morecharacter, empathy, kindness and so many services Mindy has provided for our entire family over the many years we have known and admired her. She is, and always has been, there for us when we needed her most. She was absolutely instrumental in obtaining the best possible eldercare for my mother-in-law, who is afflicted with dementia. When my wife inquired about availability for her mother in several facilities and was told there was nothing available, we contacted Mindy asking for advice. She said, "let me make a few calls." Within a few hours, we were notified that a room was available in the facility we desired the most, where before, there wasn't. So, in our minds, she is able to work "miracles." She has guided us in so many other ways, also. Most recently, she worked diligently, and on very short notice, to help us solve a very challenging and stressful issue we faced. We had to supply information and supporting documents for an issue that required completion in a matter of days. Mindy worked with me every step of the way (even late into the night) to meet the requirements successfully. Beyond being a brilliant and highly professional attorney, she is a compassionate and thoughtful advocate who truly prioritizes her clients' needs and goes above and beyond to ensure they receive the best possible care.

It involved some partial rollovers into qualified plan from IRA preceding the conversion. I had done a bit of research but wanted an expert to validate the specifics of my situation. While other attorneys I've met with in the past on other topics have a free consultation to validate they are in a position to help; Eric charges $250 for the initial conversation which is an in person meeting. He doesn't offer a first 5-10 minute phone discussion to ensure he is a fit or the need. After about a week, he called to say what I was specifically trying to do wouldn't work. I requested him to send any specific reference to the law section; IRS publication; or articles as his evaluation was contrary to what I was finding myself. He said he would send me something, but never got back to me. There was some additional up and back with questions as I sent him some IRS material after he never got back to me per above. Eric is not responsive, going weeks without a reply. He emailed me on Nov 9th apologizing that he'd been on a big project, and would reply soon. It is now Dec 2nd and still not heard. My perception is that my question was not in Eric's wheelhouse, familiarity with current rulings regarding rollovers to qualified plans from an IRA of earnings, leaving the basis behind in an IRA. In the end I felt like I wasted time and $250 without clarity. To his credit, at least he never asked for more than the initial consultation fee. But regardless I still feel as though I don't have a solid answer and would he would have been better for him to simply decline to engage on the topic during the initial meeting if this wasn't the type of thing he could get to resolve quickly or he didn't have bandwidth.

Eric kindly also answered a lot of estate planning questions for my dad, and furthermore recommended my dad use an attorney where he lives, instead of keeping the business for himself. He also explained why we do not, in fact need a trust. I also really like that his flat fee included him retaining a copy of our notarized will, just in case we ever have a house fire or the like.
