Our company has been working with Diamond Screen for 3 years now for printing on all of our glass product bottles. We've never had any problems with them and they have been nothing but professional and courteous to our company. I love working with them. Their prices are reasonable and we are always extremely happy with the quality of their work. One time our bottles arrived damaged from our packaging company and another some of our bottles had a printing error, on both occasions Roddy took care of both problems. He took care of everything with our packaging company and on the other occasion took back our bottles and reprinted them with no issues. I initial went with Diamond Screen Process because they said they could print on glass bottles. They seemed accommodating, answered emails on time, great pricing, and that they could achieve what I needed done. So far all seemed good so I took the leap - mind you, I am in a different state so all this was done online and in faith that they could do the job correctly. I was very clear with Roddy that I needed the Ink to NOT come off these jars. This design needed to stay put because it would be used over and over again for multiple uses. He said they ran it through the dishwasher 5 times and he was confident the ink wasn't going anywhere. He sent me a sample and It seemed good and so I went for it. At that point, when you ask a company if the ink they use is durable and they say yes your only option is to trust them because they are the experts here. He wanted me to approve the bottles and make sure the ink was durable on my end when I received the sample - from what I could tell it seemed durable but in reality all you can really do is trust that the printer knows his products, inks, and curing process and that they know what kind of ink stays put! After placing an order of $1,000 Jars - I paid $500 to ship them and over 100 of them were defect. I was in shock. The ink did not stay put and not only that - it had looked like whoever did the job did it in a rush. The logo that was printed on the jar was a mess. Ink was missing in spots, part of the Logo was missing on some, and I could literally scrape the ink off with my fingernail. My heart sank! I spent a lot of money and put my trust in this printer. I was in the beginning stages of creating a new product and put all the money I had into this - I didn't have the money to now fix it! Most of the other Jars looked fine but when I took my fingernail to some of them - the ink just scraped right off. So now, here I was with 1,000 jars some looked ok others a mess - now I was left with wondering if he even cured the ink at all! When I emailed Roddy about this he told me to hand wrap 120 of the defect jars and send them UPS and he would correct them (that was AFTER) he denied that it was his fault and that it must have been the shipping company who messed them up. I told him - if it was shipping that must mean your inks are not durable if they cant survive specially wrapped shipping process. NOT OK! I told him I wanted these freight shipped back to him just how I paid to have them come to me and he refused. I was not about to individually bubble wrap over 100 jars in boxes this was more money and time out of my pocket. In the end I asked him to at least give me my money back for the 120 jars which he finally agreed to after multiple attempts and emails. YET I was still stuck with 900 of them that were possible defects as well! How can I sell a new product to my customers if in just a few uses the logo is all scraped up? That looks cheap and unprofessional! Also - When I emailed him about this matter - He would not reply to any of my emails after sending multiple. I finally spoke to my lawyer and she told me to call the better business bureau - only then did he finally reply! SO - Here I wasted all this money only to have a product Im not completely confident in. That makes me so bummed and sad! They seemed like a good company -but a job done poorly. He should have reimbursed me for all 1,000 jars. Totally Disappointed! read more
