From the very first interaction, it was clear they truly care about their dogs and the families they go to. Communication was excellent throughout the entire process -- transparent, responsive, and incredibly helpful in answering all of our questions. Our dog is healthy, calm, incredibly smart, and has the best temperament we could have hoped for. You can tell a lot of time and heart goes into how these dogs are bred and raised. This is a puppy mill. The breeder is sending puppies home at 6 weeks instead of the STANDARD 8 weeks. This leaves puppies at serious risk of catching (and possibly dying from) parvovirus and developing longterm behavioral issues. I'm sick and tired of seeing posters all around the city of a different breed each week. Please do your research before purchasing a puppy. read more

We got Henry from Diamond Royal and he is very sweet and loving. We were a little hesitant at first but all of our questions were answered by the friendly staff and when we brought him home Henry was quick to learn and fit in with our children. We purchased our dog 7 years ago, and although she is a beautiful dog, I still have terrible regrets for not reporting this breeder for her having older puppies in dirty cages. Also, she insisted that we take the puppy at 6 weeks, and my dog has never fully adjusted to being weaned too soon. read more

My experience with the health of my puppy does not align with the experience of the other reviews on this website. Puppies are living beings and pet parents should know that they come with issues. What I can say is that I believe this breeder to be honest. I know he is responsive and helpful (my wife has texted him A LOT and he's always responded in a helpful manner). We bought a Goldendoodle in August of 2022. Our Goldendoodle is a happy, healthy and intelligent dog with a great disposition. I would recommend Diamond Royal Kennels to anyone looking for a puppy. We are often complimented on our puppy and my wife and I both mention this breeder whenever asked about out puppy - and we do so without reservation. read more

I apologize in advance for the length of this review, but since my recommendation is to never purchase a dog from Diamond Royal Kennels, I want to lay out our experience with them in detail. We recently purchased a goldendoodle puppy from Diamond Royal Kennels in Colorado Springs for $1400. Upon examination by a vet within the 48 hours specified by the contract, he was discovered to have grossly misaligned teeth due to his jaw not growing evenly. He also had a growth on his palate. The vet said our pup was in pain from teeth poking into the roof of his mouth, and recommended immediate consultation with a veterinary dental specialist. When I sent the vet's report to Diamond Royal, the breeder insisted on our pup seeing her vet for a second opinion before she discussed any amount of refund, which was okay with us. At her vet, however, she insisted that she be the one to give the pup to the vet and would not allow us (even though we were the legal owners) to talk to the vet or hear the vet's opinion. After a CT, the vet dentist said our pup needed surgery to remove 8 teeth. (Don't worry: The pup still has 21 teeth and can eat just fine!). The vet dentist said the pup will need more surgery when his permanent teeth come in. The first surgery, extractions, biopsy, and CT cost $3000. Due to the COVID quarantine, we'd had to cancel our family vacation and were able to use those funds for the pup's surgery. When I sent the vet's report to Diamond Royal, the breeder said she was willing to refund us only $150, despite the fact that the pup was obviously born with a genetic defect. She said we could give the dog back to her (not an option since the family was already in love and who knows what would have happened to him), and she would give us credit toward another pup. She made noises about legal action if we posted a negative review, and we asked her not to contact us again. She hasn't. (Nor did we ever get a penny in refund.) I never asked Diamond Royal Kennels for a full refund; I was hoping they'd do the ethical thing and offer a substantial refund, in the $600-$1000 range, as an acknowledgement that they'd bred and sold us a pup with multiple genetic health issues, and to help defray the costs of caring for the pup which will easily exceed $5000 by the time we fix his permanent teeth. They did not do so. If you're still considering purchasing a pup from Diamond Royal, I highly suggest you read the complaint filed by another dog purchaser with the Better Business Bureau in late 2019. Find someplace else to buy your new canine family member and save yourself a lot of heartache. read more

I should have done my research before getting a puppy from here. They post signs in Black Forest for golden retrievers, Bernese mountain dogs and Berne doodles. I ended up taking a Bernese mountain dog home never realizing the amount of stomach issues this dog has. Not only that but crate training this dog has been impossible and a nightmare. She literally just gets shit everywhere. This poor dog has been more than comfortable sitting in a kennel in dog shit. I have tried probiotics, switching dog foods multiple times and feeding more. I was even home more for a period of time to try and train the dog but it still didn't help. Sometimes it helps for a short period at a time but then she's back to poop everywhere. They are all about the money and not about the health of their dogs. Like the other reviewer she was close to having an issue with her teeth , but luckily she lost the tooth to make room for the new one. I will Never get a dog from here ever again. read more

We purchased a Bernese Mountain Poodle mix (Bernedoodle) puppy for $1600 from these breeders. A month after having the puppy, they contacted us and told us that there had been a mistake, and litter was sired by a Golden retriever, making our puppy a Goldendoodle. They offered us a full refund if we returned the puppy, which was not an option. We had already invested considerable time and money into this puppy, not to mention our kids being extremely attached, and I could not return a 12 week old puppy, not knowing if he would even be adopted to a good home. So they then offered us a $200 refund. They had another goldendoodle puppy available on their website for $1000, so I requested a $600 refund on our puppy. They refused. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, they offered a $300 refund, and only if I removed my negative review online. They called me a liar, childish, and were horrible to work with. The wrong dogs breeding is a huge mistake, and one they refuse to take ownership for. Very disappointed in this business and their lack of integrity and professionalism. read more
