Staff at the farm and in the farm stand were all friendly. Although the place was busy, there was next to no waiting to get up close and personal with the animals or walk around inside the market. Our visit was mostly the gift shop and grocery store. The grocery store was a great stop for snacks. They had some delicious pies. At least the cheese and blackberries one I had was delicious. And since the crust is great, I would imagine they were solid choices. They had a nice selection of Amish popcorn and maple treats too. The gift shop is large and has a good selection of items. The yard decor and patio furniture were all fairly impressive. Some things were even Buckeyes themed! The leather goods were the other highlight. I thought the rucksacks were great and had me wishing I could take a hobbit adventure But, the highlight for my sister was a real/ nice belt that she is excited about. My highlight was the pecan turtle I had for dessert. It's a great spot in Amish country and the service was very pleasant.

The farm is huge, beautifully kept, and has so much to do -- it's the perfect spot for a fall day with family or friends. From hayrides and putt-putt to the giant corn maze, pumpkins, farm animals, and playgrounds, there's truly something for everyone. They also have a charming country store filled with seasonal goodies, local products, and fall décor, plus plenty of food and drink stands to enjoy while you explore. You can really feel that it's a family-run farm -- the staff is always so friendly, welcoming, and eager to make your visit a great one. Van Buren Acres has become one of my favorite fall traditions, and I can't recommend it enough if you're looking for a fun, festive, and wholesome autumn outing!

She paid online for everyone and our ticket included getting to pick sunflowers in the field. BIRTHDAY PARTY -- We were all placed in a corner of the farm were there were long tables and bench stools. There were about a total of 25 of us for the party. My friend organised fun games for us to play and brought in food for lunch plus her birthday cake. We all had a blast. SUNFLOWERS -- A mason jar could be purchased at the entrance of the flower field but I didn't buy a mason jar. I just used my hands to hold the flowers as I picked them. FOOD -- The farm sells food and drinks but I didn't look at any of the offerings since my friend brought her own food for her birthday party. I believe they have typical fast food such as burgers and fries. This is a great family-friendly farm to visit in Wooster. I saw a-lot of kids running around and having a good time. I don't live close by so I won't be back but if you live in the area then I suggest visiting. **** GOAL of 150 reviews in 2024 - 30/150 total reviews in 2024 - 680 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 17 May 2024

We first stopped in at the farmer's market, which is located on the corner and has its own parking lot. It had some fun features like classic big chairs for photos and the like. The market itself is packed with tons of produce, goodies, and souvenirs, both inside and outside, including different flavored seasonal donuts, which were delicious! A little bit further down the street is the section with classic autumnal farm fun activities: corn mazes (two - including a mini one for the kids), pick your own produce (apples were ready at the time of our visit, and we enjoyed perusing the orchard), barrel ride, zip line, play area, and apple cannons, which were a blast! A variety of snacks are available for purchase at the snack shop. This area has its own parking available. About 30 mins outside of Columbus near Orient, the farm is easy to get to. They are solar-powered, too, which makes my heart happy! They have an awesome team who works hard and always with a smile. The shop has great treats and gifts. They have SO many varieties of gourds and pumpkins, too. Some I've never seen anywhere else. You can purchase pumpkins from just outside the shop if you don't want to take the wagon ride out to the field. There's also a little tractor train ride for kids and a small corn maze (both for a bit extra, maybe $4 each). They have goats to pet and big hay bales you can play on. If you choose the tractor wagon ride out to pick your pumpkin, it's $10 which includes any pumpkin you pick/can carry - no limit on color, size, variety. They rotate their fields every year so we have seen different field areas over the years. This year we didn't see the bee hives they keep on our train ride out. I hope their bees are still doing well! And now my favorite: The pumpkin donuts. They make them fresh right there and they are melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The donuts alone are worth the drive! They have chocolate and cherry donuts too but pumpkin is where it's at. I start thinking about these donuts in the summer, they're that good!! So whatever you do, don't skip the donuts!! I am really surprised by the previous yelp's I read. This is a small family owned business and they were all running around keeping things clean and in order. I really think people need to be careful right now more than ever leaving a bad review because you may be in a mood yourself. If your heading to an outdoor event I would not expect all people to be walking around outside in a mask. If your that afraid you just may want to stay home an order a pumpkin on line. Don't leave a poor review on a local business working hard to stay up and running. This farm has been in Hartville for a long time. That's why it gets packed so quickly. Loyal customers that enjoy a great service they provide to our community. If your looking for a fun day out I highly recommend stopping here.
