We first approached Derrick back in 2014 to diagnose our old and failing pump for our domestic well that supplies precious water to 6 units on our property. Failure of this old pump would present a critical issue, to say the least. Derrick flew out to Oahu to diagnose and assess the situation promptly and advised on a long overdue well rehab procedure and upgrading our old system to a new submersible pump. With DWDPS being a fully equipped and licensed vendor of high grade equipment and materials, we initiated the process to get things ordered and procuring all necessary equipment like boom trucks and cranes to prep for the job. With the whole operation being a extremely time sensitive matter, Derrick and his team had to move quickly and efficiently to get the job done and have everything operational ASAP. Within 5 hours from start to finish(removing the old pump/dropping in the new with massive crane, hooking up the electricals etc), all of the units were fully operational with a new pump providing fresh water once again. Derrick and his team came through once again just yesterday to replace a water storage tank that was now corroding and beginning to leak. Again, another potentially critical situation since it would affect so many tenants and family's to be without water if it was not corrected ASAP. With no one else on Oahu who could provide any solution or replacement components for our problem, a quick call to Derrick's yielded an immediate solution, with brand new tanks in stock that they could have shipped over within a few days. With the tanks landed as scheduled, Derrick arrived with his crew to get the new tanks installed within hours to get service back up and running with minimal downtime. Time and time again, Derrick and his team have provided prompt, reliable, trustworthy, quality service and we are truly grateful for all that they do. Absolute lifesavers! Our well at our oceanfront HPP home was failing…read more They sent someone to check out the well the following day and diagnosed a potentially failed check valve. A day later we had a team working on the well! The estimate of $3000 was steep but we had no choice. It turned out to be a leaky drop pipe. The original was steel and had corrosion. They replaced it with PVC. The job took about 2 hours with a several hours in between as they worked on another job. (This was an inconvenience as we waited in the car while they were away. ) The job was a little over $3000 (includes a $500 emergency fee). Tip: For those with older wells, have your system inspected to avoid inconvenience and avoidable costs.
