Is your current plumber going into retirement like mine and scheduling appointments is getting…read moredifficult? Or, is reliability an issue with the one you had last? Maybe flexibility is what you're looking for, such as assistance outside of the normal 8am-5pm schedule along with the weekends? I have a great recommendation because I know how difficult it is to venture into a business for the first time. It's a gamble, right? Even if someone you trust recommends a certain person or company, there's still a sense of hesitation and worry. Let me introduce you to a personal find, a plumber that served me well even with a few small obstacles along the way. I waited almost a year after my date of service to draft + post this review, keeping quality and durability of the work done in-check. All Aloha Plumbing. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ With a handful of recommendations and business options to choose from, it was difficult for me to select a plumbing company. So, I decided to read local online reviews and interact with representatives spontaneously in-public. I also made phone calls. I was curious to see which plumbing company genuinely wanted my business as a new customer. Not for financial gain but with a "customer-first" approach. All Aloha Plumbing is the one I chose. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ All Aloha Plumbing offers services on the Big Island of Hawai'i, O'ahu, Maui and recently expanded to the Tempe/Phoenix area in Arizona. You'll find different phone numbers on each location's website/Yelp page along with the company vans. Don't let this startle you, this company is legit and trustworthy. Verified and licensed. I was connected to their corporate office in Makawao-Maui. Each individual I interacted with was extremely professional. A warm greeting and approach, comfortable tone of voice and carefully chosen words every time. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ A licensed expert visited my residence for a consultation next, to inspect and diagnose estimated repairs. A simple clog quickly turned into a major plumbing job. During this moment, I carefully observed specific traits and responses of the technician to guarantee quality and transparency. His name was Steven. Steven explained everything clearly using terminology that I could understand. He offered multiple solutions and suggestions, empowering me to make the best choice for my residence and budget. I could tell he prioritized my trust over profit. It was genuine; his demeanor, authentic. Transparency. This was extended with quotes immediately as Steven searched and calculated on his tablet. He showed me photos of the broken parts and items he would recommend. An educational approach with nothing hidden, no pressure. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Obstacles, day of service at my residence. My appointment time, then the dates needed to be changed without prior notice, even after they were confirmed days ago. An unfortunate error from the company led to miscommunication between the corporate office in Maui, the technician and me. Steven tried to rectify the issue but ran into last minute changes to his schedule. This inconvenience honestly made me upset at first. Others in the household were moved elsewhere since running water would not be available. I also requested off from work to be at my residence with the technician. But, I realized that people make mistakes, and unexpected leaks and emergency calls happen for plumbers. The unforeseen happens sometimes. It did with my trusted contractor, electrician and former plumber in the past. So, with understanding and an open mind, I remained patient and flexible. This helped to keep communication clear, minimizing emotional distress for both parties moving forward. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ The redemption was beyond my expectation and I was extremely impressed by how well Steven delivered. He was honest and took full responsibility for the company's mistake. He took ownership and promised to give me a full day to complete the plumbing project. Working diligently without meal breaks, I saw his determination to genuinely deliver from early morning till late evening. Empathetic, patient and respectful. He treated my residence like his own. With passion and extreme care. I was there with him the whole time and witnessed it firsthand. Warranty was also placed on the work completed. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ If you choose All Aloha Plumbing on the Big Island of Hawai'i, request for Steven as your technician. Unlike other plumbing companies who have a team of technicians working for them, Steven seems to work solo as a company partner on this island. It's how he completed my plumbing project at the time of date. So, if you're looking for a plumber and plumbing company who's trustworthy, transparent, honest and delivers beautifully through obstacles, give All Aloha Plumbing a call. Here, it's about creating a connection, not just looking for a quick transaction. Building relationships with their customers, like Steven of All Aloha Plumbing did with me. With pride, care and tons of heart.

Does plumbing/septic ever start to get unwieldy at a GOOD time? Not in my experience. It's always the wrong time to suspect you need to service your septic. Anyhoo, I suspected my septic was ready to be serviced. I had only been told 'you'll know when you need it' and nothing else. Smelled awful smell in bathroom. Decided not to wait till I KNEW-knew. These folks called me back stat, and scheduled a check-up visit next day. They explained that, in the event I didn't need service, I'd pay $150 for the check. If I indeed needed service, no service fee - and they set expectations around anticipated service cost. We chatted and I got great information about how to try to locate my clean out(I was able to send pictures to the nice lady via text), the estimated time a system would last between services based on size of house/estimated tank size and occupancy, and I knew I was in good hands. As I am new to the home, I could only guess how long it had been based on last remodel date. Then I discovered the awful smell was coming from a hydroponic bathroom plant that was rotting. (Guess I'm telling the story of my idiocy rn, to avoid leaving y'all in suspense.) Tossed the plant, smell cleared, and I called back to cancel with great embarrassment. They didn't laugh me off the island, and I now know who I'll 100% be calling when I do need a septic service. I'm still not entirely sure how I'll know when it's due... 'Oh, you'll know' sounds scary and to avoid drain back up I'm happy to pay a service fee to alleviate anxiety the next time I suspect septic afoul.
