I rarely write recommendations. I've owned a home in the Berkshire for over 25 years. When I bought…read morethis house I hired Allegrone Construction to  restore  almost every detail of this house. Over the years I've had various other contractors do  maintenance,"" repairs, etc., I've used several of the names listed by neighbors on this site to do various jobs. No one has approached the level of professionalism, competency and detailed work  that Yarmey's Window Cleaning has. I hired them to do all the windows in my house and found out that they do much more than windows. Eventually, I realized they do everything that a general contractor could  do ... carpentry work on all levels, painting, (inside and outside),  power washing (exterior of house, decks etc.) ...taking down the shutters, repainting them, and painstakingly rehanging them... masonry work, fence repairs, and the list goes on. I really don't think there is anything they can't do! Miguel Portillo is the owner of this exceptional company. He is a man of the highest standards and He will assure you that he will do the best job possible. And, believe me, he does. I told him he should rename his company because it implies they are limited  just to  window washing. In my opinion there isn't a handyman (up to a contractor) who is in there league! No job is too small or too big! Do yourself a favor and consider Miguel Porill for your next project. You will not be disappointed! John F. Myslinski

We hired Christy and her team at Peaceful Valley Painting to fully repaint the exterior of our home…read moreand porch, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. I'm a general contractor, and my partner Emily has a strong design eye, so we've worked with a lot of trades over the years. After a really poor experience with a fly-by-night roofing company that left us with damaged trim, cracked siding, and a rough soffit job, Christy and her crew (Paula and Steve) were a true breath of fresh air. They took incredible care of our home and property, going above and beyond to help us caulk, sand, and repair dents and cracks in the siding before painting. Their prep work was meticulous, their attention to detail exceptional, and every member of the team was thoughtful, kind, and genuinely enjoyable to have around. They were patient with our many color changes, and their precision with hand painting and clean cut-ins (no sloppy spray jobs) really stood out. On top of that, they're local, fairly priced, and communicate clearly throughout the process. Christy even found a way to fit us into their schedule this season, despite being booked almost a year in advance, because she knew how rough our last experience had been. If you're considering painting your home, inside or out, we couldn't recommend Christy and her team at Peaceful Valley Painting more highly. They're true professionals who care deeply about their work and it shows in every detail.

This is not an easy job even for an experienced company and team of cleaners there is a lot to do it has to be done right or it can mean making me look bad when showing the apartment to perspective tenants & not getting the apartment rented as soon as possible costing me money. Well needless to say I was nervous especially because I wasn't in town and had showings scheduled the day I was getting back which of course gave me all of 2 hours to see how the cleaning went as that too was scheduled for the same day. I arrived at the rental unit & was honestly in shock!! I was aware this was a newer service and small business however, they advertised "apartment cleaning" at that time it was even in the business name & it was clear as to why, never have I gotten such extraordinary results I can honestly say that none of the previous cleaning services we've used even compared!!!! Not only was everything that we discussed completed but the quality of work was unsurpassed. As if that wasn't already enough I swear the owner Lisa must have read my mind. With my invoice was a small note card thanking me for choosing her company & explaining that she left a couple wax melts (u know the small candle heated things that u melt scented wax in ) as she thought that they'd "work better then an air freshener in making the apartment smell not only clean but welcoming as the future tenant walked through the door so they would instantly feel comfortable and have an easier time seeing it as a potential home." Wow!! Just Wow!! I had 3 showings that afternoon each commented on the amazing smell asking what it was & all 3 also mentioned the cleanliness of the apartment as a whole or at least one of the rooms etc. All 3 also chose to apply and it was rented the next day.. Needless to say we use Lussier's Cleaning Service for all our rental and personal properties to this day & choosing that new business turned out to be a great choice.

Based on this interaction alone, I would much rather drive elsewhere to a business that treats people with basic courtesy.
